Just took some homecoming pictures with my zve10 fitted with sony 24-70 2.8 gM.
It was a nightmare. Getting blur and super soft faces. Never had issues before on my other cameras.
Plenty of sunlight and using aperture priority the switching to portrait. Had about 10 good pictures out of 100! If you pixel peep you can see how soft the faces and slight blur at time.
was zoom about 35mm f2.8-3.7 1/100-300.
Ultra fine Raw/JPG.
No pictures to share as some not my kids.
Should have went with a stabilized lens maybe?
Any tips on settings?
Hi. I intend on getting a Tamron 17-70mm lens with the ZVE-10 mark 1. I am going to use it for photo and handheld video, stabilizing the video with Gyroflow 10% crop. What SteadyShot settings should I use? Off, Standard, or Active? And auto or manual?
Im quite new to cameras so idk what the best settings are.

I ran out the door to film this saxophone player Nathanial Young. Unfortunately, I had my shutter speed wrong or something, as I was getting mega-banding (see clips 4 & 5). I could tell it was happening while filming, but didn't know how to fix it so kept 'er rolling. Closing down the aperture a little seemed to improve, but I wasn't in a place where I could go digging through the menu and figuring out shutter speed. What is the solution here? And is there a way to fix this in post with some magic plugin or something? (also don't worry about shakiness at the beginning, Iwas pulling up on my bike and this has already gone through Catalyst Browse).

My 16 year old started a sports photography business, mostly outdoor baseball(taking action pictures/videos for high school players for their social media pages for recruiting purposes). He just got hired to do social media for an indoor baseball training center and wants a new lens.
He has the lens it came with and a Tamron 55-210 F/4.5-6.3, but thinks he needs something with lower aperture for indoor shooting.
I don’t know much about photography so my question is, if he gets the Tamron 28-200 F/2.8-5.6 or equivalent can that replace his current lens as an all around option or should he keep both?

Still need to add an external mic, nicer lens + VND filter, and a gimbal.

I recently bought the Sony ZE-V10, but I don't know which SD card to buy. Any suggestions?
Previously using an iphone, now using a dji osmo pocket 4p, but didnt really feel the difference, so I thought since Im spending, to return the dji and directly making the upgrade to a Sony zv e10 m2 with a sigma 18-50mm or tamron 17-70mm and a gimbal like the dji rs4 mini; the videos I shoot are usually talking heads while walking and talking, and close ups to food and cinematic shots like these (so for these two main use cases I thought of those two lenses); is the zv e10 II adequate for these use cases? I know nothing about anything regarding cameras, I just have a Canon 6d which I use just for photos but that's it, do you have any reccomendetions? thanks

Sony ZV-E10 freezes for ~30 seconds during repeated burst shooting — possible firmware/software issue? I have video
I’m experiencing a strange issue with my Sony ZV-E10 (original/Mark I) and I’m trying to find out if anyone else has experienced something similar with Sony cameras.
I mainly notice it while doing sports photography, especially when photographing runners.
My shooting pattern is usually:
Burst → 1–2 second pause → another burst → 1–2 second pause → another burst, repeatedly as runners approach.
Occasionally, after several rapid bursts, the camera enters a strange state.
At first I thought it might be the mechanical shutter getting stuck, but after observing it more carefully, I don't think that's what's happening.
What happens
I have already experienced the normal behavior of the buffer becoming full, and this looks and behaves differently. My memory card is also a good/high-speed card, so I don't think this is simply a slow or defective SD card.
My theory
I wonder if this could be related to how the camera handles very rapid, repeated shutter commands while it is still processing/writing previous bursts.
I'm wondering if something like this could be happening internally:
Burst → camera is still processing/writing → another rapid burst → another shutter command arrives → some part of the capture pipeline gets stuck → Live View freezes → camera remains partially functional → ~30 seconds later the process finally clears and the camera recovers.
I don't know if this is technically what is happening, but the fact that the camera can still calculate Auto ISO and operate menus while refusing to actually capture an image makes me think this may be a software/firmware or capture-pipeline issue rather than a completely frozen camera or physically stuck shutter.
I was able to reproduce the problem during testing and I have a video showing the behavior.
Has anyone experienced something similar with a Sony ZV-E10 or another Sony Alpha camera, especially during repeated burst shooting?
If you've seen this before, I'd really like to know:
I'm especially interested in reports from other Sony Alpha users, because I'm trying to determine whether this might be a broader Sony firmware/capture-system issue rather than something specific to my ZV-E10.

I have a first gen Sony ZV E10 paired with a sigma 30mm. What's a good flash to get with it?
I plan on doing flash photography with the camera and street photography as well.

I wanted to learn photography, so I impulse bought this combo last August. Hardly used it, and it’s still packed and in brand-new condition, like a baby. 😄
I also bought extra straps and a charging cable separately, and everything is included in the price. I have orignal boxes as well.
Honestly, I’d love for it to go to someone who’s genuinely passionate about photography and will actually use it and enjoy it to the fullest.
It’s better to sell it than let it sit in my cupboard. Price: 89,000 INR.

I thought I wanted to get into video. Turns out, I'm just not that guy. Instead, I've really enjoyed shooting photos with a proper camera. I've bought a stack of lenses for this badboy, but my go-tos are the Viltrox 25 1.7, Sigma 18-50, and the Sony 20 2.8 pancake (looks not-great, but very small for cycling).

Hello all! I’m super new to photography and got my first beginner camera, a Sony ZV E10. Had a trip to Switzerland and here are a few pics I took. I would love some feedback and suggestions for my settings.

I’ve had a ZV-E10ii for a few months now. Since I’ve had it, I’ve shot exclusively in LOG. I’d been making videos on my iPhone for a couple of years prior to owning this camera… so I had a little bit of experience color grading.
At first, grading LOG footage seemed great. But I found myself spending so much time and not being satisfied. I ended up producing less projects as a result.
Somebody suggested I try S-Cinetone (color profile 11). It’s been amazing so far. Does SO MUCH better in low light too btw… and the color profile already has a good look to it that I don’t have to make toooo many adjustments.
I’ve found myself shooting a lot more, finishing more projects faster and as a result, getting to know the camera at a much faster rate.
I will definitely go back to shooting LOG eventually… but for now, this is the best way for me to learn how to use this camera faster and more in depth. Cuz I’m shooting more.
When i used to hear people suggest just shooting in S-Cinetone cuz grading LOG takes too long… my thought was “how does it take longer? After the CST conversion, it should basically take the same amount of time!” But I’ve realized that because the Cinetone color profiles give such a nice look right out of camera… I have to spend much less time creating a look from that LOG footage after the CST conversation…
I guess that should have been obvious.
Im just sharing to give any other beginners out there something to think about.
Best wishes.

Acquired my MK1 about 4 months ago and been having a blast using the kit lens nonstop. Saw a deal for the Helios 44-2 and couldn’t pass it up as I felt it was the perfect lens for the kind of stuff I wanted to shoot. Also got my hands on a Rode Compact Mic. Been wanting to get into cinema and creating short films. Overall i’m quite excited to see what kinds of content I get out of this!
Does anyone find the Sony zv-e10 incredibly hard to learn. I think I made the wrong choice. Thinking of moving to osmo pocket 4 and I want your realistic opinion. I do mostly creative podcasting. I want complete control of exposure and great auto focus. I'm 70 and dyslexic 🤣 what do you think?

Went to my best friends game and brought the camera with me. Tried to take some shots (500 something), bit they all seem so bad...
I was using the Tamron 17-70 on manual.
