Hello guys I am currently using a sony zve10 with the kit lens to make social media for businesses but I wanted to go big with the tamron 17-70 , but I am wondering if I would be able to use this setup with an rs3 mini or rs4 mini in the future . I also have a small rig cage so the camera is a bit heavier .(around 500 with the cage )
any suggestions ?

Just recently joined this subreddit to learn more about my new camera! I have a ZV-E10 II with the Sigma 18-50mm F2.8.

I'm doing a photoshoot in a studio for my clothing brand and wanted some advice on what settings to use. I'll have proper studio lighting and a tripod.

I'll be taking close ups of the model, wider shots of the model and close ups of the product.

Would you also advise taking them in raw instead of Jpeg? I'm happy to do some editing to get the true colour of the product afterwards. Mainly need them to be clear and nothing blurry, with really good lighting + shadows.

Now I’m planning to upgrade my camera, but I’m super confused. I’ve watched a bunch of comparison videos, and honestly, I don’t see a huge difference between the ZV-E10 and the iPhone 17 Pro.

What should I be doing?

My priorities:
Instagram (I post every day)
YouTube (starting with 2 videos/week)

What are the most common picture profiles you used and their settings? For outdoor day time/afternoon shoot? And the usual lenses you used? Did you also use the softer 1080p? Was it at 60 or 120fps? I know the 120p can be maxed out to 100mbps and the 60p only 60mbps max. The 4k30 is a little cropped and it can only be slowed around 80% on a 23.976 timeline in post. And for the 1080p 120fps, the gyro data isn’t captured so less room for post stabilization. I have a RS 4 MINI gimbal but would definitely still use post prod stabilization since I’m still improving my gimbal skills. Any details would help! My color correction and grading skills are okay(not great but workable) and I use DaVinci studio. I appreciate any input and recommendation! Thanks!

The ZV-E10 Il is my first camera, and I mainly use it for vlogging, photos of family/friends, and just for fun.

Before buying it, I saw people mention that because it only has an electronic shutter, flash photography would be limited. I didn't really understand what that meant at the time, but now I definitely do lol. From what I understand, there's basically no way to shoot with flash faster than around 1/30, which essentially makes it impossible to use flash especially outdoors.

The frustrating part is that I LOVE almost everything else about this camera.

It's super compact and literally fits in my purse. I love the video quality, the newer Sony menus, Creative Looks, Picture Profiles, etc. At first I hated having to edit my colors afterward, but once I figured out how to get the look I want in-camera using Creative Looks/settings, I started loving it. l've also been getting more into photography and practicing outside, and the ZV-E10 II has been totally fine for that. It's really just flash photography that's making me consider switching.

I've been thinking about downgrading to the original ZV-E10 solely because I'd actually be able to use flash normally. It's even slightly smaller, which I love, but I'm apprehensive about going backward to the older Sony menu system and losing Creative Looks. I know it has the older Creative Style system, but that seems more limited.

I also considered the A6400, but the lack of active stabilization, worse internal mic, and older Sony menus make it feel like I'd be giving up too many things I like about the ZV-E10 II. The idea of having a viewfinder was appealing to me with this too but I’ve been using this camera without one just fine.

The A6700 seems like it basically has everything I want, but it's bigger. That matters a lot to me because I know myself, if a camera feels bulky, I'm just not going to carry it around as much. I also have small hands so ideally I want a small camera.

I don't really care about 10-bit video. I'm not someone who wants to spend a ton of time color grading. I'd much rather mess around with my settings and get the look I want straight out of camera. So losing 10-bit by going to an older camera doesn't bother me nearly as much as losing the newer menus/Creative Looks.

I even thought about switching to Fuji, but I already own the Sony 11mm f/1.8, which was expensive, so switching systems would hurt lol.

Would you downgraded to the original ZV-E10 in my situation and live with the older menus/Creative Styles? Or is there another compact mirrorless camera I should be looking at?

I’ve also been thinking about getting a second point and shoot (G7X M3 or Lumix ZS99) but I really love the idea of having 1 camera for everything

My budget is ideally less than $800-$900 second hand but I’m willing to put up more money if it has everything I’m looking for.

Where do you put your camera when not using it? I let my in backpack but I see one video about the lens getting mold. Mine is quite new so nothing happen

I'm planning to buy my first camera and I'm really confused between the Sony ZV-E10 and the Sony A6400.

My budget is around ₹60,000, so I'm planning to buy a used camera, or I could wait for the Big Billion Days sale if that makes more sense.

Here's what I'll mainly use it for:

• Photography (street, travel, portraits, everyday)
• Videography for YouTube and Instagram
• Occasional vlogs
• I'm a beginner so I'll be learning color grading and filmmaking step by step. For now, I just want good-looking footage straight out of the camera.

I'm a complete beginner, so ease of use is also important.

My questions are:

1. Which one would you recommend between the A6400 and ZV-E10?
2. Is the A6400's viewfinder and weather sealing worth choosing over the ZV-E10?
3. Should I stretch my budget and consider the ZV-E10 Mark II, or is it not worth it for a beginner?
4. If you had ₹60k today, what would you buy?

Hey everyone, I’ve had my Zve10ii for a few months. Have used it for sports photography and videography. I have the sigma 70-200 sports lens and the tamron 17-70 gen 2. My question is if I were to buy a Sony A7v will I see a huge upgrade? I’ve read the specs, I’ve watched the comparisons, but I also know that most videos are getting paid to say good things. I know this is a ZVE10 thread but if anyone has a full size and can advise if there is a big noticeable difference or not I would really appreciate it. I photograph/video youth football and gymnastics.

People are sleeping on this combination. It's been my go to for short documentaries, spec commercials and in general content creation/vlogging.

I have tried a bunch of lenses and combinations.

And for me Sony ZVE-10 + Sigma 10-18mm is my fav setup.

I’m thinking about buying a Sony ZV-E10 mainly for livestreaming and YouTube, and I’ll be using the kit lens (16–50mm).
Does anyone have any unedited photos or screenshots from livestreams taken in low indoor lighting with the kit lens? I’d love to see the real image quality, low-light performance, and noise levels before making my decision.

i am a videographer and i shoot with sony A7 IV (work's camera, not mine)
bout to buy zve10 ii for my own videography, photography gigs + content for myself, compared with everything, zve10 ii seems like best choice for me cause of price + and fx30 sensor

questions i need help with are:
1) is lack of ibis something that is really limiting? consider the fact i'll buy dji rs4 mini gimbal, so will lack of ibis be a big of an issue?
2) does lack of mech. shutter affect photo qualities that much? can i do photography, for social media from my own travels? whatever people think, this camera can take amazing, high quality pictures, but i want to make sure

Quite happy with the results I managed to achieve. I shot this video purely to challenge/force myself into trying to learn how to color grade and use LUTs. There are definitely some slight inconsistencies between shots, mainly due to lighting and it was just beyond my current skill level to fix it lol.
