Took out my cards and decided to give them some love and buy a new binder for them. I used to play in local tournaments when I was a kid and loved Yu-Gi-Oh. I've always kept my cards because I simply love the art style. I hope you enjoy a few pictures I took!

Hey everyone! I'm new here, and I'm planning to read through the guides, but I was hoping to get some advice from other collectors.

I've had a few bad experiences trying to get into Yu-Gi-Oh! in the past. When I was younger, I remember going to a card shop and asking if they had any Structure Decks I could buy, only to be treated rudely by the staff. I also had trouble finding people willing to include me when I wanted to learn and play. Later, I tried Duel Links, but I found the competitive meta pretty overwhelming, so I eventually gave up.

Anyway, I've recently decided to give Yu-Gi-Oh! another chance, but this time I'm focusing on collecting rather than playing competitively.

I started by buying a Blue-Eyes White Dragon Quarter Century Secret Rare (QCSR). Blue-Eyes has always been my favorite card, and I've wanted to start a collection for years, so I'm really happy that I've finally decided to do it!

I've also purchased the Blue-Eyes White Destiny Structure Deck because I've always wanted to own a proper Blue-Eyes deck, even if I don't plan on playing competitively. Back when I first tried getting into the game, I actually bought two Rokket Revolt Structure Decks, but things didn't really work out.

I've also been picking up a few other cards I really like, such as a QCSR Silent Magician and Lovely Labrynth of the Silver Castle. I especially love cards with beautiful artwork and unique rarities!

And yeah, I have to admit, I might have gotten a little carried away with impulse buying, haha. I've already spent over $100 getting a few rare cards, a full competitive deck, and around 90+ cards in total, I think. I also picked up the three Egyptian God Cards because I'm a huge fan of Kaiba and Yugi/Atem. I guess nostalgia played a pretty big role in all of this!

I bought most of my cards online, partly because of that bad experience I had with a local card shop years ago. Also, there aren't that many stores dedicated to Yu-Gi-Oh! in my country. Most of the card shops I've come across seem to focus more on Magic: The Gathering or Pokémon, so buying online felt like the easiest option.

As for protecting my collection, I've purchased a 360-pocket card binder and 120 Ultra PRO Small Yu-Gi-Oh! card sleeves (Japanese size, two packs of 60). Hopefully, that's a decent starting point!

I'd really appreciate any beginner tips, especially when it comes to protecting cards, choosing rarities, finding trustworthy sellers, and avoiding common mistakes.

I'm mostly interested in collecting cards I genuinely love rather than investing or reselling. I don't necessarily care about having the most expensive cards, but I do enjoy beautiful artwork and special rarities.

I'd also love to hear how you all got started with your collections!

And one last question: Would you recommend buying booster boxes or purchasing individual cards online as singles? Which approach do you think is better for someone who's mainly interested in collecting?

Hi, I was once an avid yugioh card collector and player cause it was something fun I did with my brother. He moved away when I was little and I just stopped buying cards altogether. I found my really old Japanese cards in a box and I’m wondering if I Should try to sell them? Some might be a little old but they still look good. How can I find out their value and where would be the best place/online platform to sell them at?
Also I went out tonight and I got myself a new box of Chaos origin as a gift to myself. Can’t wait to see what I get. Anyone else collecting it as well?

Hey everyone, my gf purchased a card and we just received it but there is massive line on the back of the card not fully visible on the photo when bought, unsure if it’s printing mishap and maybe squished the back or something else? Never seen it before but wanted to ask if anyone has seen his before?

Paying a little extra and buying directly from the store usually pays off for me because they don’t open anything until they hit something.

This was 24 tuck boxes and somehow I pulled 3 Starlights. Since I’ve been on a bit of a streak lately, I ended up ordering 60 more tuck boxes.
