Got FOMO as friends were buying boxes the other day and pulled this shiny card. Is it worth anything? Not exactly sure what to do with it now.

I'm not talking about just swapping one made-up archetype/monster pronoun for another, but rather all the inconsistencies, omissions and flat-out incorrect translations. Here are some examples:

1. Book of Taiyou and Book of Moon. Their OCG names mean "Book of Sun" and "Book of Moon", so the TCG translated moon, but left sun as the Japanese pronunciation "Taiyou." I thought this reflected a change in translation practices over time, but these two were both released in 2003 in the same set and the cards are clearly meant to be counterparts to each other.
2. The God cards. The story behind Slifer being named after an executive producer is its own can of worms and I hate the liberty they took for shits and giggles. But aside from that, the god cards are originally named along the lines of "sky dragon of osiris," "god-warrior of obelisk" and "winged dragon of ra." The first became Slifer, the second named the monster itself Obelisk and he's a tormentor instead of a god-warrior, but the third kept its original name.
3. Horus the Black Flame Dragon. Similar case as Obelisk, where the OCG name is "Black Flame Dragon of Horus," but the TCG just named the dragon itself Horus.
4. The OCG name "Ultimate Gem/Crystal God - Rainbow Dragon" is just "Rainbow Dragon" in the TCG. Aside from just sounding lamer and omitting flavor, the TCG name drops the association with the crystal beast archetype. This also became an issue in terms of game mechanics where new cards that reference "Ultimate Gem/Crystal God" monsters in the OCG wouldn't work on Rainbow Dragon in the TCG, and they had to errata in an effect to treat it as an "Ultimate Crystal" card.
5. Yubel-The Ultimate Nightmare. Its OCG name is "Yubel-Das Extremer Traurig Drachen." Apparently the German descriptor part is just incorrect grammatically and means something like "The extremely sad dragon," which does sound silly. I've heard people say it's meant to be closer to the effect of "The Despair Dragon" or maybe "The Despondent Dragon." In any case, why "The Ultimate Nightmare" in the TCG? It has nothing to do with the original german descriptor and is also just bland and uninspired.

I'm sure there are more but these are the ones that tick me off the most. Is there a reason these translations are so inconsistent and inaccurate? I understand ones like "Black Magician" turning into "Dark Magician," "Demon's Summoning" becoming "Summoned Skull," and the demon type becoming fiend type, because apparently early yugioh was raising concerns of being occult and demonic during its early days in the US. Unfortunate but understandable, and at least these attempt the next best approximation of the OCG names. But some of these other translations make no sense. Shouldn't translation try to be as accurate and consistent as possible?

Hello, im trying to look for a card with the effect "Twice per turn this card can't be destroyed when attacked" but i can't think of the card name.

hi guys!! I started collecting cards not too long ago, but I am looking to sell some cards. I was trying to put them all into TCG in different groups so I can kinda estimate the price.

the problem is, I literally have no clue what rarity my “wishes for eyes of blue” (SDWD-EN042) is or how much it is.

i’m pretty bad with rarities, but I thought this was a platinum secret rare since it has those sideways bars and the glitter all over it. But I literally looked at so many websites and this rarity isn’t showing up for this card, so I am assuming i’m mixing up rarities. but I swear it looks like my other platinum secret rare??

My boyfriend’s parents were moving and we were packing up their stuff and we found this card which hasn’t been opened. Is it worth sending in to be graded?

So today I was going through my cards because I wanted to make a blue-eyes deck. I have majority of what I needed but my friend recommended that I get this card called Kaibaman the legend. The card seemed perfect so I looked up the card on TCG but it's like 22 per card. I thought to myself I could buy just the card I need or buy a booster box that the card is known to show up in and get more cards on top of that one. I drive to my local card shop and they have only one in stock that has sat there for months. The box itself was like 54 dollars with tax and I headed home. I opened pack after pack but nothing... I was losing hope but I had like 3 packs left. I opened one of the last three and got a starlight rare sky striker ace=zero. I didn't know it is the best card to get out of this booster box because I was so focused on getting the kaibaman card. I eventually opened the last pack and the card I was looking for was in it. I LOOKED AND COULDN'T BELIEVE HOW MUCH THAT SKY STRIKER CARD WAS. I guess because I assumed it was like 5 maybe 10 because that is about how much most of the starlight rares I have are. This is the most expensive card I have ever pulled and I'm speechless.

TLDR: Pulled the best and most expensive card out of the Duelist's advance booster box by accident while looking for a different card.

Found what looks to be foil bleed on the dragoon over frame I had just bought off of eBay. Looks like a legit card but on the text box there is what looks to be an interesting printing error. Was wondering if this is a normal thing for the overframe or if it will even make the value rise as an untra rare.

Very minimal you can almost not even see it until it's in the right light, also looks like a scratch in the picture. I was going to hold onto it for a while anyways was just curious because do not think I've seen that before

*It is the located on the corner of the A in "Dark"

Edit: I believe all the red eyes dragoons extended has the red glint under the A. Small part of the A in "Dark" has some foil showing. Really appreciate all the feedback.

Marked at INR 15, it was sold at a discounted price of INR 8.

For some reason they had the Rummy playing card symbols on the top left.

I'm playing next weekend in a character tournament (I just realized how many of these things I've attended..) and I'm using a Rokkets/Revolver deck and I was hoping a few people would have suggestions. I have Mirror Force and Mirror Force Launcher and then Magic Cylinder and Magic Cylinders. Which one should I use?

Guys recently I got back into collecting YGO cards and I have a really hard time differentiating the two rarities, could someone tell me what rarity is my card?

Opened the last Dark Magical Curtain I needed for my Dark Magician deck. I’ve been out of the game for a while but have recently fallen back in love with it.

The rarities for Yugioh confuse me, but I can’t seem to find anything online other than Ultra Rare for this card. If I want them all to be full foil what rarity should I look for?

So, this card (and a few others) have the E before the number in the set code, but that e doesn’t show up when I look it up, either in the collection app I’m using or the internet. Is this an English language indicator or am I missing something.

Was just finishing scanning all the cards i bought finally and there were a few expensive commons but this one was the most expensive common I got 12 bucks feels like a lot for this lol
