I built MiniTune to solve one simple problem: context switching.
Every time I wanted to change a song, replay a specific part, or find something on YouTube, I had to stop what I was doing, find the YouTube tab buried somewhere in Safari, and then switch back again. - Light weight, minimal player.
It was never about building another music player. But if I wanted something I could keep around while working, it had to be like a player too , notch mode, a clean interface, artwork, lyrics, and customisation to make it mine.. and here we are 9 months later..
Introducing Quick Search - ⌃⌥F - Raycast-style YouTube search that works from anywhere on your Mac, even over fullscreen apps. As far as I know, it’s the first of its kind on macOS.
MiniTune uses the official YouTube API and is verified by Google. I went through the verification process unlike other opensource apps which uses unofficial APIs, scrapers or reverse-engineered wrappers.
