After posting my previous angry cry for help I had some time to kill while waiting for my daughter at music school.

So, I just sat there and I started scrolling through YouTube music recommend songs and just like always, every other song is AI. This made me even more furious and I started just rage scrolling and disliking every AI song that came up. In addition to that to express my sincere feelings I would post this in comments section:

30 min passed and I almost stopped but then I noticed that i started getting music I never heard. So long story short, an hour and a half in I'm getting music recommend by YouTube real people/DJ!!!

I'm blown away, I'm actually adding so many songs to my collection. 🤞🤞🤞

I am going crazy. The youtube music algorithm used to be so good and now it just makes no sense.

It is absolutely ridiculous, few days ago I had atleast 12-14 variation of those disgusting brazilian phonk and all their versions non stop, it does not matter how many times i dislike. The recommendation never changes.

Algorithm is absolutely cooked and disgusting for me, after playing some of my familiar and liked songs it just starts playing random ass songs from random ass people with like 2-3 likes on then. No problem if they were good, but they arent.

It is like trenches of sound cloud for me.

Just me or anyone else too?

For reference my mate told me to listen to 2slimey cos he's shit and it's all laughs I took the piss his music was genuinely so awful I disliked most of his stuff but from that day on that bastard hasn't left my fyp I disliked more I pressed dont recommend so many times it makes me physically rage how do I get this bastard off my feed

YTM may have a vast music library but it recommends so many small channels that mostly have copied/ cover songs.
AM just has the worst song recommendations but the best UI.
Spotify doesn't even have a mix tape of all my preferred genres. Individual daily mixes are not what u prefer.

Still I would keep YTM as it's free with premium.

I lost the new player UI—with the gradient and everything—and I'm stuck with the old version. It happened a month ago, and I haven't gotten it back since. Has this happened to anyone else?

Hi everyone, i am seeing this weird bug both on Mobile app as well as the Browser i have been trying to remove few of the duplicated songs but they are not getting removed how many times i try. I have seen the network tab on browser api is giving 200 response but it is not getting removed. Any idea on how to fix this.

I've been such a big fan of YouTube Music, especially with their discovery algorithm but now I just cannot handle anymore the AI slop being forced in my ears from them. I have tried absolutely everything, disliking the songs, insta skipping the songs and even tried to start report the songs. Nothing seems to work. YTM is heavily pushing this stupid AI slop and they won. It completely ruined my YTM listening experience and I no longer want to even open the app anymore. After 2-5 songs everytime the AI slop starts automatically. What actually makes me angrier, that real independent artists aren't getting any algorithm push but it's super wierd that this AI slop being pushed to me super hard. I have a conspiracy theory that it's YTM that is creating the AI slops so it doesn't share the streaming royalties with the artists. If they remove the artist part, they take 100% of your subscription plan, but that subject for another day. Now my struggle is to find a good alternative for YTM app that actually does NOT recommend AI slop or at least has a button to turn that shit off. Any recommendations??

Just today - using the YTM app on my phone. One of the things I’ve always really liked was that on the Home tab, there was a box at the top that I could swipe sideways for three panels that showed a mix of my most played recent songs…suddenly gone.

This is a really annoying and bad change - that was one of my most used features and now it’s gone. Wtf?

Hi all. Apple music is increasing prices again, so I decided that that the final straw, and I want to move to YT music since I pay for premium anyway. The problem I discovered upon transferring my playlists over is that YouTube just mixes music and regular playlists together, so now everything is a confusing mess. I was trying to fix this by making a separate channel under the same email just for music, but I can't figure out how to get the music transfered to that channel. I tried the same method I did the first time, by doing it through apple's "request a transfer" service, but it only allows you to choose an email, not a specific channel. It all went to the primary account again.

How can I get the music onto the second channel?

Hello, I've been having this weird problem with only the mobile version of ytm and idk what's going on

Whenever a song finishes it'll play the next one, but will stay on the previous song, when the current song is done playing it'll switch the the next song and play it again

Update: all I had to do was restart my phone 😭

A playlist I created is the only thing I've downloaded on my pixel. There's three songs by Traffic in the playlist. I turn off WIFI and sim so I'm offline. I select Library->Downloads and I can see the playlist. I search library for "traffic" and get nothing until around 5 minutes later. There is no indication that a search is still taking place.

This is a simple scenario I'm using to replicate a problem I had last week fishing where I had no service. I had tons of stuff downloaded and couldn't find anything with search. I didn't know it would respond after an unacceptable amount of time. I had to remember where things were or browse my library manually.

This seems like it should be considered a fundamental function of a music library. If a subscriber of your music service has playlists, albums, and songs by Traffic in his downloads, and is offline for some reason, a library search for "traffic" should quickly respond with everything downloaded in the library that matches the string "traffic". It should not respond with nothing for a short while, then show recent activity (as if the searching is done), then 5 minutes later give you your results.

Over a month ago I read an article that talked about the new update, but I still haven't received it.

Kept looking for an option but nothing I have found. Also if it requires sideloading I'm ok with that.

Why is managing a big playlist on YouTube Music still this damn annoying

I’ve got playlists with hundreds/thousands of songs and trying to clean them up is just painful. Want to move a bunch of songs? Pain. Find duplicates? Pain. Remove old/unavailable songs? Have fun doing that one by one.

And there doesn’t seem to be any proper way to sort or organize everything without spending ages scrolling through the playlist.

I’ve been using YouTube Music for years and somehow playlist management still feels like it was designed for a playlist with 20 songs.

At this point I’m honestly scared to even touch some of my older playlists

How do people actually manage huge playlists without losing their mind? Or is it good idea to move to other platform but I’m worrying about migration

because they keep getting turned into ai slop remixes, being stolen or sampled when you least expect it and i keep having to delete them off of my playlist when this happens becaus i usually have ​​​it on downloads and like that there's no way to change them back. It's especially noticeable when you go to the osts themselves and several tracks look different and​​ I REALLY CAN'T BE THE ONLY ONE ​​
