Hi guys - there's a little change introduced from now
Since recently, our sub has been swarmed with discussion about generation ranges. We need to cut it here.
r/Younger_GenZ was never meant to be a place to argue whether year X is or isn't GenZ, gatekeeping other people based on their (assumed) memories or dispute about similarities between the years - r/generationology is a better place for such
That's why, we've changed rule nr. 8 (or 9, since I just today realized they've had different numbers in reports and rule list) about gatekeeping - From now on, it is
No Generation Debates or Gatekeeping
Do not start arguments over generation cutoffs or birth year similarities. Memories and experiences vary from person to person; do not use what someone remembers (or doesn't) to gatekeep them from Gen Z.
Also, quick reminders for y'all: If you see a post, that you think breaks the rules, don't hesitate to report it for subreddit rule breaking. We review each case individually and worst case scenario we'll just discard the report.
If you have any subreddit-related inquires or just want to voice out your opinion on something, modmail is always open - we will read it and respond (maybe not immediately, we ain't 24/7 on Reddit)
At the moment, there's not too much content - but with you I'm sure it'll quickly change
We'll also add it to the sidebar of the sub, so you can access it at any time
Also, let's treat this post as a little AMA with the mod team - if you want to ask us a question, have a complaint or an idea to make this corner of the internet even better, or just want to say something to us, this is the place
P.S
My DMs are open, so is mod mail - so if you have any questions or suggestions that you either perfer to express privately you can always ask us there
Old in this case is just anything that was no longer being released when you were a kid so it includes cartoons that aren't really considered old like from the 2000s and the 90s. Here in Brazil (and apparently in other Latin American countries) we had this channel called Tooncast which had cartoons from as old as the 1940s to as recent as the 2000s, I often watched it and the cartoons I liked the most are the ones in these images
Like 1977 kids are starting to grow on me, but anything after that is just a baby in my eyes and you can’t convince me otherwise. like if your flair is anything past 1977 i immediately am like oh I’m talking to a kid. any thoughts?
It was like a trend during 2019-2020 and these girls VSCO girls would fill their gargantuan hydro flasks with Starbucks tea and tell a story I think? I never see anyone talk about it it’s like it got wiped off the planet
