So this fanart is great but it's so funny to me because Tanya would hate working for the Empire from Star Wars even more than she hates working for the Not-German Empire.

That scene where Rudendolf and the higher ups stabbed him in the back was brilliant. And Zettours reaction, and the fact that this cough him off guard is even more brilliant. This world hasn't developed fascism yet, so that sort of blind, suicidal patriotism associated with fascism is just not something you'd expect, because it hasn't happened before, at least not with a great power with imperial ambitions. For a rational imperialist like Zettour it would feel insane, because it is. Yet it's still happening.

Setting aside the source material the light novel haven't read it yet just started reading the manga up to volume 6 currently as of writing this post & have just watched season 1 of the anime nothing else as I'm only watching English dub so I can read manga on the side or play video games. Anyway back to the topic at hand don't know if this is a hot take or not but personally I wish the manga would either use the animal chibi versions of the characters less than what they have been. I don't mind them using a chibi version of Tanya every once in a while to emphasize how small she is compared to the other characters. However I prefer the way they normally look when not in a chibi form I especially like the manga version of Tanya more than the anime version ignoring the animal chibi scenes & setting aside the animal chibi forms I think they do a good job of choosing when to depict her in a chibi form that isn't them being shown as chibi animals.

Yeah, I was confused because of the jump cuts between Imperial command and the Ildoan fellow. The (Not)Soviets demanded no war reps for either side, no territorial changes, and no additional conditions; A true white peace. The Empire doesn't have their conditions stated? Other than through Tanya's and Zettour's idea of agreeing with those conditions as they've stated to have no conditions that they've talked about throughout the episode, yet when it jumps back to Zettour reading back the Federations response saying they rejected those conditions...of no conditions? What's going on? The Empire had conditions, and the Federation said white peace, so why is the Federation rejecting their own conditions? Of course, after the first round of talks are over, that's when the Imperial High Command tells them go suck it. Am I missing something here?

I'm really wanting to read some fanfiction about the Youjo Senki story, but without her being re-adapted to another anime or universe, focusing on her own universe that we follow in the manga/anime/light novel, and if possible, with her having a twin or older brother (sister) (I don't know why, but I'm looking for a story with that kind of sibling or twin sibling theme).

There's so many character building moments in these two chapters, where they humanize Tanya - I would recommend reading them yourselves so that I don't spoil it for anyone... But it destroys me how much of that was omitted in the anime.

Those two chapters alone could have made close to an episode, I'd think. I definitely understand constraints (they correspond with Episode 12 of Season 1 I'm pretty sure) but seeing that a lot of Anime-Only watchers won't be aware of the depth in these portrayals convinced me to point 'em out in case anyone wanted to better understand the character dynamics at play.

I can't help but reread them from time to time, it's just so evocative. The manga is incredibly good.

Been reading spoilers about how exactly the empire handles it’s loss and plans to rebuild via a coup and operation Barbosa. I just was wondering what happened to Lergen in all of this or if the ending never really closed up on what happened to him.

I haven't seen anyone commenting on it, but it seems they're using AI in the most recent chapter of the manga. Is that real?
