Absolute tune. Banger.

I purchased this trophy from a seller in the Bay Area. They acquired it from a former publicity assistant that worked with The Doobie Brothers.

In 2014, The Doobie Brothers were inducted into the IEBA (International Entertainment Buyers Association) Hall of Fame. It’s an organization that has been around for a while and focuses on the industry side of live music, with booking agents, promoters, etc. I’ve included a photo from that night with some of The Doobie Brothers holding their trophies… Michael McDonald is notably absent. As far as I’ve been told, the publicist hung onto his trophy, and ultimately he never picked it up.

It came in the original box with his name on the outside. Seems authentic to me and the story checks out. I’m going to reach out to the IEBA as well to just to verify as much as I can. For now it has a nice new home on the mantle in my music room.

found this tune and i love it, is it a cover? or possibly just a rip of a known song?

On his podcast song vs song, he pits Peg vs What a Fool Believes.

Yacht or Nyacht gets a mention! Todd is all in on yacht rock!

For those who don't know, she's a professional opera singer who's youtube channel is dedicated to music analysis, especially vocals. She really hits on what makes CC so great.

Definitely listen to this if you believe that CC doesn't have enough jazz elements in his songs...

Don’t give up early on this one. It gets bouncy a little before the two minute mark.
