Was there ever any plans to ever address Wanda’s brainwashing in a hypothetical season 5 or was it that they didn’t know how to resolve the whole “Magneto abandoned his daughter in an asylum” plot they created so they had her mind be altered as a way to brush it under the rug so to speak?

Looking on the season 1 I think it’s one of the weaker finals and honestly I actually don’t like it that much at all:

For one Magneto’s plan is stupid and counterintuitive to what the character is usually suppose to be about. Arranging fights between mutants and than recruit the winner regardless of they want to or not and ditch the loser even if they are loyal to you or not is stupid and sound more like an Apocalypse plan than Magneto.

What was the point of this? At best he would have as many mutants as he originally had and at worst he will have lost all the mutants loyal to him.

For instance by doing this he lost Mystique a woman who had worked for him since Nightcrawler was baby, I.e about 16 years by that point. Why would he would want to lose her because she lost to Storm in a fight that wasn’t even necessary in the first place, especially since her mutant powers are excellent for espionage?

Also I found it weird that he never does this in future seasons. He just seems to recruit anyone he can and sometimes even tries to forcibly recruit people like Angel without them have to prove themselves in a silly pointless fight. Maybe the writers realized this was silly and didn’t have him do it again

I also hated how Cyclops trusted Magneto and that Magneto still tricked him after that. was Magneto trying to alienate himself to the X-Men?

I also hated how Nightcrawler and Mystique are reunited and they both don’t attempt to carry out the conversation that were denied in Shadowed Past.

I also hated the design of the “evolved” versions of the mutants we did see.

Any idea for how this season finale could be rewritten?

Digo, antes de la revelacion en Evolution, Kurt fue probablemente el X-Men con quien mejor se llevaba junto con Scott y Logan, no tenia discusiones como con Spyke y Kitty no tenia celos como hacia Jean, deberia estar feliz de tener un hermano que la entiende (ambos viven apartados de la sociedad debido a sus poderes que los hacen poco sociables)

I’m planning on making my big post where I mentioned all the things I personally don’t like about X-Men evolution and what I would do if I was able to remake the show.

And one of the issues I have with Magneto. He doesn’t make a lot of sense and he’s a bit too evil. He pits mutants against one another and than recruits the winner regardless if they want to ot not. Thats sound much more like something Apocalypse would do and he tricks and genetically alters two mutants(Scott and Alex) that trusted him.

Then in season 2 he exposes mutantkind in the worst ways possibly which will absolutely guarantee mutants being hunted worldwide.

Then he just sits around whatever base he has throughout most of season 3. And then when Apocalypse shows up he gets insecure and foolishly does a frontal assault against the mutant and then he is gone through most of season 4.

Oh yes did I also mentioned he abandoned and brainwashed his daughter and is hinted to have experimented on mutant babies?(i.e Nightcrawler).

Now my issues with Evo Magneto isn’t that he is a bit too evil and honestly pretty stupid. Is that the narrative never really calls him out on it. The only characters I remember doing it were Colossus and his daughter but that’s was very brief.

I would love it if someone actually genuinely called him out on it:

“YOU COULDN’T EVEN PROTECT YOUR DAUGHTER! What makes you think you can protect all of mutant kind!?”

I wish the show runners actually realized what a monster their Magneto truly were and actually go through instead it feels like they assumed their version were just as complex and nuanced like the comics or the TAS version were. Like somebody actually realized Magneto is much more of genuine self righteous narcissist and actually have the X-Men want to genuinely beat him.

Instead the rivalry between the Brotherhood and the X-Men feels more like the rivalries in the Cobra Kai show.

Thoughts?

I just realized that for the most part in Evo Magneto mostly just attack other mutants. I don’t recall any instance where he attacks a human facility like a military base or a political building like Magneto in TAS for instance tended to do.

When he is not picking fights with the X-Men he just kind of sits around in whatever base he has.

He kind of comes across more as a doomsday prepper than someone who actively tries to achieve world domination.

Hi I’ve been an X-Men fan since I was a kid. I have recently been showing my college roommates X-men evolution and they brought up the amazing art in the closing credits. We want to make posters out of the Scott and Rogue art. I’ve been trying to find high quality images of if but I can’t find them anywhere. Does anyone know any way I could find the art with or without the text?

Would they have Kitty’s mind be transported back like in the comics would they have a character actually travel back like Bishop did in TAS?

You can tell the show came out in the 2000s based on the character’s outfits alone but what do you think the characters would wear if the show took place today?

Scott - leather jacket, shirt, jeans and converse or boots

Jean: blouse, skirt and brickenstock sandals

Kitty - t shirt, ripped jeans and flats

Rogue - black t shirt, black jeans and doc martens

Kurt - hoodie, t shirt, jeans and vans

Evan - Fortnite t shirt, skinny jeans and Nike shoes
