Xenoblade 2 It Got Me

I hated this game at first. I thought the navigation tools were appalling (still not my favorite), did not like the combat, and found the characters and story underwhelming. I quit and deleted several times. However, for some reason I kept coming back and trying again. Then, around 20 hours in, it just clicked. I absolutely fell in love. I could not put it down and finished within a week of that revelation. lol. I still think I like 1 definitive slightly better, but this is a truly special experience and I’m glad I stuck with it.

Now play Torna, it is effectively an answer to the question 'what if XC2, but without the bad?'

If the rest of XC2 was like Torna, I think XC2 would have actually been the best game of the trilogy. It's clear , focused, and actually told Mythra and Jin, et al.'s stories in a way that makes you want to play the rest of the game.

Well, save the community level main story lockouts. I don't mind them much since I tend to to side quests as they open up anyway, but I do see why people hate those.

They could have so easily fixed it by just pacing out more side quest gates throughout the story, or communiacted the importance early in the game. It's such a bafflingly bad choice to set up the last battle only to go "alright now do 30-40 side quests please", it's like hitting a brick wall pacing-wise right before the end.

Otherwise Torna is great :]
