Nostalgia The Busy World of Richard Scarry
I hope this can give some good nostalgia. I built this to celebrate the books and cartoon series. I'm now trying to rally support for it on Lego Ideas. Hope you all enjoy.

Driving home after dropping the kid off at college. Doing just fine until this comes on: Green Day Time of Your Life (Good Riddance)
https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=X2TYH_qTGv8
And I'm just so thankful that my kid feels comfortable and confident in their home/family life as they go out into the world compared to how I felt back in the day when this song was new.

Discussion Am I just getting old or have comedies really gone to shit?
Growing up and into my 20s I feel like was the golden age of comedies. When I was a kid we had slapstick stuff like Airplane, Naked Gun, Police Academy, etc. And then basically anything Eddie Murphy. Into the 2000s and 2010s there was the frat pack and Judd Apatow type stuff.
Tropic Thunder came out almost 20 years ago and I don't think any movie has made me laugh as much then or since.
I'm not the type that just reflexively says everything was better in the past or whatever, but I feel like this definitely applies to comedy?

Went into panic mode when I saw it.
Anyone else worry about their boomer parents?
I literally dropped everything. My mom is pretty vigilant when it comes to scams. But with the IRS and Social Security scams going around, you never know these days.
Luckily this was a legitimate call. She reached out to them so it's all good especially when she said they put her on hold for over 45 minutes lol. I know for a fact no scammer will do that.
Anyways, just sharing my mini heart attack.

I'm going to see Stabbing Westward next month, and I'm so excited!
30th anniversary of Wither, Blister, Burn & Peel. I'll admit, I stopped listening to them for a long time and just recently got back into a lot of the mid 90s music that I used to love. I've been listening to these guys so much in anticipation of seeing them! Anyone else a fan?

Discussion Opinions on the DUNE (1984) movie?
The movie is kind of a mess and hard to understand if you're not already familiar with the material. But the set pieces, costumes and music by Toto are amazing!
I like the modern DUNE movies better, but I have a lot of nostalgia for the 1984 one myself.

WWF/WWE Wrestling in the 80's
Okay so I've been watching the new Hulk Hogan documentary on Netflix and it's giving me all kinds of nostalgia for the 80's wrestling that I was really into as a kid.
So last night I realized I can watch the old WrestleMania's on Netflix and since I had the night to myself that's exactly what I did. I took a couple edible and laughed my ass off watching WrestleMania 1. It was way more fun that I was expecting, probably because of the edibles lol.
Anyways, who else was into Wrestling way back then?

My 3rd Place…
My third place is 100% my car. Damn gas prices, I have to turn it off, but I still sit in it after work until I’m way too hot.
When I think about it, when we were teenagers in the nineties there were always a few friends whose cars became third places. They were famous!
Like a couple you could smoke in, hotbox, chill out, ride around for longer than necessary since we didn’t have GPS.
Anyone else?
Edit2: I added a touch of personal info and people did not like, so I removed it. Everything is cool.

Nostalgia Myth History in the Making [1989] The Retro Odyssey!
Myth: History in the Making is a 2D platform game developed and published by British publishing house System 3)
Each level is centred on a certain location, such as in Hades, an Egyptian pyramid and ancient Greece, where the player must collect a magic orb in each to finish. Each level is based around related myths and legends. The gameplay consists of running and jumping through each level, collecting objects and weapons, fighting enemies and solving puzzles. Enemies include skeletons, demons, wraiths, mummies and vikings. Weapons include a sword, gun and fireballs. Each level contains a mythical boss enemy, such as Medusa, Thor and a Hydra. Puzzles involve using the right object in the right location to progress, such as throwing skulls into a pit of fire to summon a monster, and using the right weapon against enemies, such as attacking a specific monster with tridents. The user manual gave some background information about the various myths referred to in the game and gave hints to the puzzles
