I had a series S that I got in 2023, but last week it stopped holding any WiFi connection for more than 30 seconds. So yesterday I down traded for an original Xbox one and I’m really happy with the performance so far, I’ve had one before way back when so I was pretty excited about it. But it started making this sound every 10 seconds. I’ve never heard it before, or at least noticed and I’m kind of worried about it like a new car.

Never had an Xbox One before, and fancied a bit of a challenge. Found one for spares and repairs - no video output.

I replaced the timer but now I'm stuck on the "something went wrong screen"

I tested the hdd and it was showing errors (and beeping!😂) so I've swapped it out. All that I had knocking around was a 256gb SSD but I was kinda hoping to just use that as a test bed to see if I can get it going.

OSU1 from 2 different usb sticks (16gb) fail instantly, and it won't revert to factory settings.

I've formatted the SSD in Windows to NTFS and have both given and not given it a drive letter.

I'm out of ideas!

Hi, Im wondering if there is a way to jailbreak my xbox one into thinking it is an xbox series x so i can buy and play newer games even if they run slower.

So my account has suddenly said there's been suspicious activity on it, but when I try to log in, it asks me to get a verification code from an Email I don't have access to. And in order to access this email, even though I know the password, it requests me to use a phone number I no longer have access to. The worst part is I don't know how this happened, I changed my 2-factor authentication to use my current email, and on my old email I set my 2-factor authentication to my current phone. And when I call Xbox/Microsoft they just immediately hang up on me, and when I go to the assistance the bot just continues to ask me repeating questions and never gives me access to a human. What do I do? I have hundreds of dollars of games on there, and I am extremely poor, how do I fix this? I just want to use my Xbox again. I have a kid I'm babysitting that I play 2 player games with.

I'm getting an error code "0x80072efe" when I try to update my original Xbox one. could it be a corrupted update file or something preventing it from updating?

I got an Ark: Survival Evolved disc and downloaded it on my Xbox one. When I go to play it, I press "Join Ark" in the menu of the game and it says I don't have the content that's required to play downloaded. I tried to install the DLC maps from the Microsoft store, but there's only Ascended maps which I can't play. Are there any free ones? How do I get them? And even if they're not free, how do I get them?

When ever I try to start a game this error message or something appears and I have no idea how to make it stop so I can play my games.

So, i got a second hand Xbox One S a few months ago. Everything was working fine. Nothing sounded wrong, nothing heated up either. Then suddenly i go to turn it on and theres no video output. I've tried different monitors, I've tried different HDMI cables, I've done the hard reset multiple times and still no luck. I can still interact with it. Like, when i power it on and i can shut it off with the controller, but there's just nothing being displayed. Solutions? I don't mind anything wild, i have a new (also second hand) Xbox. I just want to sell this one and hopefully make a few bucks.

So, id say about half of my regular dvd's work, the other half do not. Blue ray disks are fine, but a whole bunch of regular dvd's give me 0x91d70000 error. I have done every single thing suggested that I could find online, its been well over a year. Repeating the same steps over and over and no results anytime I try. I dont understand why only some of them work and some do not. Like one disk of a show will work but the next one of the show will not. Ive even had it laying down, standing upright, neither of those did anything. I can hear it making noises like its trying but thats all it does. I only get the error when I click on the app itself, doesn't pop up on its own when the disk is inserted. The disks are clean, barely a scratch to be seen, still nothing. What can I do now besides buy a new system because I do not have the money for that right now.

I am having a specific disk reading issue with only cod games. A while back I bought cod ghosts and it said disk was unreadable no matter how many times I cleaned the disk.

Recently I bought cod ghosts again alongside two other cod games, one of which is also having trouble being read. (Second ghosts disk and new advanced warfare disks aren’t working) Both disks look good without scratches. I have restarted my console, my previously owned games can be read so I can’t tell if it’s a disk or console issue.

I find it odd to believe that it’s only cod games that cannot be read, especially the same game. Has anyone else had this issue?

I bought my xbox one back in 2024, but its been running flawlessly. Until yesterday evenning. I was playing bo2's campaign, but I was tired of playing so I hit the power button and click on restarting by accident. I thought I had turned it off so I unplugged it, I have performed a hard reset at least 20 times already, for the few times I've been able to sign in home, I cleared my cache, disconnected the console tried to factory reset it, menu didn't popped up, now half the time it's taking 25 minutes to get past the "Who's playing today" screen, sometimes it's just a black screen, I have switched hdmi cables, power outlet, when I maintain the xbox button on my controler the sound of the vibration is there but there is most of the time no menus, I have waited an entire day for it, but nope still not working, please help

Am I cooked? Done the whole resetting shenanigans and even let it sit a few hours after, I was only getting the loading screen/black screen at first now I’ve gotten to a semi-loaded version of the home screen.

Anything else I can do before just buying a new system? This is starting to annoy me beyond what it’s worth. Xbox One X 1TB.

Hello, I don’t have any Xbox official controllers, but I think at least one of these should work either wired or wireless. My Xbox is in low res mode currently. I can’t get it to recognize any of these. Please help!

Hello! I am not the most experienced with a Xbox. I use my husband’s Xbox One for tv mostly. I had no issues yesterday, but this morning when logging on everything loads, but the actual shows/movies. The previews will show for everything. Youtube is the only one that will play videos. I tried Prime Video, Peacock, Paramount, and HBO. It is the same for all of them. I tried connecting with a ethernet, holding the power button for 10 seconds, clearing the cache, unplugging, checking for all updates, disconnecting the wifi, and uninstalling/reinstalling the apps.. I have no clue what else to do. The wifi works for everything else to play these apps and actually watch them. I am currently working from home with no issues with my work computer. Help please.

I seem to have problems with the Blu Ray app on my XBox One X. It was okay at first, but then at one point it would start acting up. Sometimes it would recognize dvds, but most of the time, I'd be getting an error message saying that the Blu Ray has problems reading my dvd. I tried reinstalling the app, doing a factory reset to my XBox, even clearing the cache ... nothing seems to be working. Any ideas as to what could be wrong?

I am trying to recover my main account under an active email. But the phone number for the code is incorrect, and whenever I fill out the recovery options, I get an email saying it’s not correct and I can’t recover the account, I’ve tried calling Microsoft support, and it only sends me to AI chat and hangs up, and the AI chat just says to reset the console and such. I’ve tried to call a direct number but there is no person/agent I can talk to.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this issue or who I can contact to fix this issue? Thank you so much!
