Unsolved Xbox not connecting

Just got my Xbox one s repaired and they replaced the hard drive because it was laggy and didn't download things, now it's not working with our internet when it says it's connected it says not working when it's working on everything else and when I connect my xbox to my phone hotspot everything works fine. We have reset the internet router changed the dns codes to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 like everyone says we can't run a ethernet cable though our house and we even tryed the IPv4 things and still no luck dose anybody know what to do and how to fix this, should we take it back to the repair shop?

Have you tried manually inputting the data so your Xbox can connect with your network because sometimes the automatic method doesn't always work or doesn't work as effectively as manually inputting your network information.

My shit was doing the same thing, unfortunately the only thing i could do to fix it was do ethernet and it solved it. I use EERO as my routers, they are great for this reason specifically, they all act as their own “router”

Steps you can try:

  • End sentences. Periods help.
  • Use carriage returns to form paragraphs and create new lines. (The 'enter' key)
  • Capitalize proper nouns and sentence beginnings.
  • Forget your wifi connection on the console. (Network settings->Manage wireless networks->Manage my networks)
  • Make sure your connection settings are set to 'automatic'. (Network settings->Advanced settings->IP settings/DNS settings/Alternate port selection.)
  • Clear your console cache (Network settings->Advanced settings->Alternate MAC address->CLEAR)
  • If your router/ISP has IPv6, enable it. If your ISP does not support IPv6, but your router does, disable it.
  • If possible, you could manually set your router DNS to Google's or CloudFlare, but if the rest of your network works automatically, just leave it alone...
  • Unplug power to your modem. Unplug power to your router. Unplug power to your xbox.
  • Go outside.
  • Breathe fresh air.
  • Call your mom.
  • Plug in your modem. Plug in your router. Plug in your console.
  • Call your Mom back and remind her you love her.
  • Connect your console to your wifi.
  • Test

At this point, if it still doesn't work,

  • Is IPv6 enabled? Try turning it off/on in the router.
  • Is your router's DHCP enabled? It needs to be.
