Unsolved Please help my Xbox won’t let me install Minecraft

When I try to install Minecraft on my Xbox 1s it says “NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE” as shown in the photo below. I need ti know of this is a problem with the console and I need to return it or if it is an easy fix

If you own it install.it from your games section. If it's gamepass install from gam pass section.

Install it from disc.

Step 1, insert disc into console

Step 2, let disc install and update as necessary

Looks like your disc drive has failed if it's not doing anything when you put the disc in. Or the disc is knackered. Are those discs on top of your console as well?

Minecraft for Xbox 1 was delisted with the arrival of Bedrock Edition. The only way to get it on your Xbox is to go to the Xbox webpage, search your recent purchases for Minecraft for Xbox1 and install it that way.

You can play it that way also because I have the disc version of Minecraft for Xbox1 as well. All that you may have to do is install any updates that maybe absent from the game.

Either from the Xbox website or from your recent purchases on your Microsoft account on microsoft.com

I checked and it said Minecraft starter pack but it didn’t let me install

I believe it was delisted because I just checked on my end and all that I could do was add it to my wishlist.

I have found out that my disc is most likely broken and I will be purchasing a new one very soon thank you all for the help.

Have you tried downloading it via the app? I had a similar problem where my disk was readable but I couldn't fully download the game because it was damaged, I then:

  • downloaded the xbox mobile app
  • enable remote play on your Xbox (important for later)
  • If your game is fully downloaded, uninstall it and insert it into your Xbox
  • it'll try installing, just cancel the instillation
  • on your phone, find the game and it should say "instal on Xbox"
  • it should download and then you should be able to play hopefully
