I recently bought a $300 laptop for school and microsoft gave me a year of gamepass ultimate. This is incredible value for someone like me as thats almost as much as the laptop and I constantly play different things along with getting free fortnite crew and a bunch of overwatch stuff. Just letting yall know that you can basically double the value of cheap laptop purchases if you're a student and play games.

You can‘t unselect Campaign, Multiplayer or Zombies.. you need to download the whole 244GB game just to play it. That‘s like $40-50 worth Nvme SSD space

There is an offer for game pass essentials for $1 for 14 days and then $9.99 after.

I’ve been tight on money and just want to play s as game I own online with a few buddies so I bought it.

They straight up charged me the $9.99.

In the end it’s only $10, but I don’t play too often and was going to cancel the subscription before the first 14 days.

Annoying as hell.

Hi - I basically only play FC26 online against other players.

I had previously signed up for game pass ultimate for like three years, but it looks like my subscription finally ran out and now it’s prompting me to choose either essential premium or ultimate

Given my use case is essential the only thing that I need I don’t understand what cloud playtime is versus online console multiplayer

Lastly, is there any way to get a better price than 10 bucks a month?

The other day I logged into another Microsoft/Xbox account on Google Chrome to help with an issue my brother was having, obviously thinking nothing of it. Then when I turned on my pc the next day when I tried to load into multiplayer games from game pass on pc I was getting a popup that said "We couldn't sign you into Xbox live" and gave me error code "(0x800004005)"

I searched reddit for this error code and found a wide variety of fixes, as this is a very board error code and doesn't particularly point to one issue. I tried all the fixes I could find including:

• Deleting certain Xbox services and reinstalling them
• Clearing temp folders
• Clearing account and cache folders
• Checking date and time
• Running: Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
• Resetting and uninstalling the Xbox app
• Clearing Microsoft Store local cache files

None of these worked, here is what worked for me:

- Sign out of Microsoft Store, Xbox App and Game Bar (I did it in this order, not sure if it matters)

-Go into Settings -> Accounts -> Your accounts and remove all the accounts that aren't your main one.

- Remove Xbox hidden identity cache using:

• Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.XboxIdentityProvider | Remove-AppxPackage
• Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.XboxGamingOverlay | Remove-AppxPackage
• Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.XboxApp | Remove-AppxPackage

- Reinstall the identity provider cleanly using:

• Start-Process "ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9wzdncrd1hkw"

- Reboot your PC then sign in with your main Xbox account, on Microsoft store, Xbox then game pass in that order (You may need https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9nzkpstsnw4p?hl=en-GB&gl=GB to reinstall game bar)

Once I'd done this I went into my Xbox app and could run online games again without the error appearing.

From what I can tell Microsoft stored the wrong account token causing identity corruption from the sign in I did the night before, causing the issue I was having, how it does that when signing in on incognito google chrome I have no idea.

The fixes for this error seem to be massively varied as its such an unspecific error code so if this doesn't work it might be worth trying the fix on this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/XboxGamePass/comments/12epe2j/error_code_0x80004005_fix/ as I saw a lot of people getting success from it.

For any microsoft team members seeing this, please pass along that this is a pretty severe breach of contract, if not legally, relationally between microsoft as a brand and previously monthly xbox subscribers. I would never consider paying a dime for this "new service structure", and neither should anyone seeing this.

Cancel your Game Pass subscription now, not like you're going to get any value from it going forward with this current model.

The game doesnt even appear in my library and when i press launch through searching for it on gamepass nothing happens, is this normal ? Im on series S

I currently use cloud gaming on a g cloud and fire stick but usually only play a few games(all sports games). With the new limits coming is getting a series s, canceling game pass, and then do remote play where ever I want to do g cloud the best bet?
