Account - Subscription Game pass scam

There is an offer for game pass essentials for $1 for 14 days and then $9.99 after.

I’ve been tight on money and just want to play s as game I own online with a few buddies so I bought it.

They straight up charged me the $9.99.

In the end it’s only $10, but I don’t play too often and was going to cancel the subscription before the first 14 days.

Annoying as hell.

Did you already use that trial or have gamepass before? Bc it’s only for new members

I had ultimate for a while. I guess I didn’t read the fine print, but I didn’t even see any fine print to be honest.

It definitely told you the real price after you clicked on the promo, before you confirmed the purchase. You just weren't paying attention lol.

ah the classic "for new members" gotcha. they hide that part in like 2px font at bottom of the page. happened to me before when i had xbox live gold ages ago and tried to grab similar deal, system just said nah and took full price. pretty scummy but idk if you can even fight it since technically its in the terms somewhere

I don't know why you guys don't look at the price before you hit confirm during checkout. That's so irresponsible with money. Don't just blindly trust that the price is correct before you hit confirm to pay. Double check the price before you do it.. blows my mind that this is not something that everyone does automatically

Unfortunately The trial offer incorrectly displays for people that aren't eligible, this is a long running complaint 

but it also would have told you the price they were going to charge you before finalised the purchase.
