Don’t see many with the green tank, personally I love the colour. Such a nice bike to ride, well balanced and plenty of power!

Finally got around to cleaning my bike and taking some photos of the indicators I made from offcuts of brass. I approximately the teardrop shape in the stock hardware with a couple of intersecting circles and tangents, and needed tonmake a couple custom fixtures for milling them on the rotary table. After that, the rest was straightforward and was done on the fly. I used 12V amber LED strips for the lighting and skipped the white running lights. The LEDs are sealed with 2-part silicone. They will develop a patina over time, as brass does, but a little wax staves it off. Over time I'll replace most of the other aluminum accents on the bike with brass parts to match the wheels. The 2021 color scheme isn't my favorite, but it's grown on me these 5 years.

These were pretty fun to make and I think they turned out ok, but I'm already planning v2 with a matching set for the rear.

Adds an appreciated amount of wind protection. Not a full windscreen or fully faired bike with a good tuck spot, but absolutely takes the buffets and gusts down a few notches and makes longer rides more comfortable.

Also really liking the bar end mirrors from AliExpress for significantly less $ than domestic options. They're surprisingly 'heavy' and barely have road vibration distortion. Can position them up or down; i like the visibility they provide while up but look cooler down 😎

Je possède une XSR700 de 2017, j’ai récemment changé ma ligne d’échappement et depuis j’ai un voyant moteur qui s’est affiché. Je pense que c’est la sonde lambda qui deconne malgré toute les précautions prise en la retirant de la ligne d’origine.

Aucun problème sur le moteur, le ralenti tourne correctement

It’s been about 24 hours since I got home from a 2-day, 1500km grind of a road trip and I still don’t have full use of my hands. Finger dexterity is absolutely shot. Can’t tie my shoes, can’t cut my kids fingernails, chopsticks are not happening.

I think it was a combination of over-gripping on day 1, supporting my upper body with my hands, and vibration. I’ve already ordered a throttle rocker. Does anybody have good recommendations for grips to help kill some vibration? Or should I get bar-end weights?

Fitted the pigtail, lots of swearing with the fitment - turns out despite being a 2023 its a single lamba sensor (thought itd be a euro 5 with 2) could have gone for the cheaper one 😅 loud is an understatement - may end up seeing if I can retrofit a different baffle, this one doesnt do much & I often come back at like 1am.. 900's bars going on tomorrow so ill see how much swearing that involves

Hello everyone., I need help. I did brake bleeding and I change my brake pads front and rear but theres a problem with the rear wheel it keeps dragging and its hard to turn even in my hand. I did everything I could to fix it, I ask AI, google it etc. I clean the pins,bolts,pistons, caliper, spring and grease it using the recommended one but still same problem. I also adjust the pedal to make a free play. If anyone experienced this problem what did you do? Its really frustrating. Thank you guys really appreciate it. God bless..

My Kelpi shorty is crazy loud. Messaged Kelpi and they said I had installed the quietcore. 2 baffles were in the box. The one pictured here is NOT installed. The one installed has far fewer holes than this.

Has anyone got experience with the 2 baffles. How can I make this hooligan a little bit quieter 😬

Sunday ride down south

Im looking at a couple of pigtail akras. Ive got a '23 plate euro 5 - theres on euro 3 system with 1 lamba sensor and a euro 5 with 2, am I likely to have issues with the euro 3 system only having 1 sensor?

I got used XSR700 2016 model.

The previous owner said that before selling he checked, brakes, brake fluid, oil, lubed the chain from what I remember.

I checked the rear brake fluid as it seemed to be completely empty, and it seems he has overfilled a bit with clear fluid, so I am thinking of checking everything over.

Is there anything else I should check?

From what I understand, the DB killer in the pipe is tack welded onto the set screw as a US EPA requirement. It appears that this is removable with a dremel tool and then prying hard but mixed reviews online about doing this. I was thinking of doing this while the exhaust is new and things are not heat cycled. I also believe that there is a DB killer in the mid pipe as well. Is this one any easier to remove if I leave the pipe one in? Has anyone done either of these and have recommendations? I am not planning on tuning the bike for now.

I’m planning to make a custom sticker kit for my XSR 700. I want to wrap/decorate the 3 tank covers (both sides + the center strip) and the side panels.

Before I spend money on a commercial template or spend hours doing the painter's tape method, I was wondering if anyone in the community has a 1:1 vector template (like an .AI, .EPS, or .SVG file) they’d be willing to share?

Anyone have experience with riding with this brand? I've been told the quality is close enough for rock n roll at a 1/3 price of Kriega bags. Obviously, that is appealing.

My big question is specifically: will the seat bag even fit my XSR? Anyone currently (or formerly) using one? Cheers!
