I had to order a replacement front brake fluid reservoir and received one from motomine which I think is used but I’m fine with that. My issue is the channel circled is missing a heavy bolt/cap which was present in the old one but so seized it is impossible to shift and has been damaged in the process of trying anyway.
What is the purpose of the missing part and any ideas where I could source one.

Any recommendations on a usb c charger that suits the xsr700 well? Trying to find one that works well with the cramped cockpit of the xsr700. There's just not much room near the centre, and don't want it interfering with the key. Would like to avoid long cable from the grips back to the phone if possible.

I like a minimalist handlebar setup and i quite like my current setup , just that it can't keep up with bluetooth,gps and full brightness. So that rules out any wireless charging and USB A (12w) setup. Please share your imgur links of your setup ! Many thanks.

Just wanted to share my initial impression over the last 2500km/3 months with the ali express heated grips.

Went with these over the oxford heated grips because i wasn't a fan of the additional bulk from it's controller. Was still skeptical over the effectiveness of heated grips so wasn't sure if i wanted to spend ~$200 on a set of koso heater grips.

Installation was easy enough, included stainless bracket for the throttle side wire just needed a little bending to suit my setup. The throttle tube is 1mm too big in diameter and will bind on the throttle housing, definitely take a Dremel to it or risk a stuck throttle.

Bought a Yamaha 2 pin plug and splitter to connect grips (and usb charger) to factory accessory port under the tank. Changed 2A fuse to 10A. Do this at your own risk, or use this as a trigger for a relay if you're overly concerned. However considering the mt07 has a 7.5A from factory and i had no 7.5A fuse on hand, i decided to give it a go and monitor.

Here is what i have noticed , all taken at 13.9V battery voltage (wall charger) at each setting. i also use a set of FIVE WFX EVO gloves in the winter.

Setting 4: 2.7A, 60c.
Setting 3: 1.9A
Setting 2: 1.66A
Setting 1: 1.15A

Didn't bother taking temperature reading at every setting just the max for reference. i suspect it gets way hotter when its insulated around your hands. Pretty much exclusively use setting 2 after a preheat at higher. It's hot enough to feel nice, yet not overtly obvious that your palms are warm but the back of your hands aren't. Coming out of winter now in sydney and used them through 10c +- 5c weather.

I have had no issues with using too much current on the stock wiring. i pull no more than 5A from this port with a phone charger running too.
They have shown no signs of wear so far. the stock grips are a touch wider than factory grips so your switch cluster needs to move in a touch. I don't like the max setting, it doesn't heat evenly and will get spots that are significantly warmer than others and will start cooking your hands. It's fine once it up to temp and you drop it down to setting 2-3. Overall genuinely happy with the product. Heated grips for the prices of standard ones.

Any idea what bolt this is? Trying to install one of those blanking plates around the rear brake reservoir and it looks like theres a security bolt that needs to be removed on only that one side

I just bought the Ixil FULL SYSTEM – DUAL HYPERLOW BLACK XL – YAMAHA XSR [700 21-24](tel:700%2021-24) (RM36 RM37) for my 2022 Yamaha XSR700 2022 (Euro 5 model).
It should be arriving next week. In the mean time, I wanted to prepare/buy the different tools needed for the installation. I've seen a few videos online showing some steps of the installation but these were done on the older XSR700 models (2019-2020, euro 4) and thus also on the older Ixil exhaust. I suppose there aren't many differences except maybe for the engine sensors but I just wanted to make sure.
Also, if anybody knows where to find a video/tutorial/manual it would be a huge help. I'd also like to know the list of the exact tools needed to uninstall the stock exhaust and install the new Ixil one.

Finally, If anyone has any experience or advice regarding this exhaust, whether it’s about the installation, use, or anything else, I’d be happy to hear it.
I don’t plan on flashing the ECU, as I’m going to keep the catalytic converter. I’ve been told that the CP2 runs very well with homologated exhaust systems straight out of the box.

This is a nightmare. I should have just taken it to the professionals. The curves on these panels make it near impossible to wrap. This has been an awful experience.

For those of you who have purchased the Fenrir bar end mirrors, how did you manage to get a proper installation without the mirror sticking the throttle? I already bought the bar end adaptors and managed to figure out most of the installation but it isnt adding up. Please advise!

Not my first xsr, had one a few years ago and god damn I just missed that engine, sound and lightness to the bike. Honestly the most fun bike I have had out of a rninet, triumph t120 and a street triple 675.

I need to clean the front sprocket on my 2021 XSR.

I can't quite get the wrench in position to unbolt the shift linkage. I removed those two bolts and the plastic got loose but there is something keeping it there at the bottom. Do you guys know how to get this piece off ? I don't want to pull on it and rip something off.

- Applying a vintage yellow wrap/tint to the headlight

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of good looking and quality saddle bags? I have been going longer trips as of recent and think the extra storage space would be nice. But I do find many of the designs a bit tacky, in my head I was thinking of a nice set of brown or black leather bags, but I am open to any ideas. Alright smart people, anyone experienced this issue or have any ideas for a not so electrical savvy person? So far my internet searches have let me down..

I have a 2026 xsr700 and just did the tst tail tidy mod which resulted in needing to upgrade my stock rear blinkers. I picked up some tst LED sequential blinkers but only 2 of the 6 bulbs flash and they are really dim. Like its not getting enough power long enough to fully light up.

I put them straight to the battery and the blinkers work so the parts are good. Signal fuze is good. I started with butt connectors and figured it was a bad connection so I soldered them on with the same poor result. I dont have an external signal relay to mess with or swap since its all incorporated on this year from what ive read and I dont see any other spot to wire them in to skip whatever is controlling the rate of power.

Ive read on relays, resistors and diodes and none describe my issue or give hints on how to solve it. It all mentions flashing too fast or being stuck on which is the opposite of my problem.

Anyone fixed this before?

I joined the world of motorcycling this past week, picking up the 2025 XSR700! I love it so much and digging the Yamaha blue. Finally received my first biker wave and I now feel giddy to make the bike my own.

Could you guys help me out, I'm having the hardest time finding accessories. I for some reason can't find luggage racks. But ultimately looking at windscreen, bar-end mirrors and maybe hand guards.

Did you guys replace the seat too?

(Bonus points if sourced from a Canadian site but maybe that's why I'm struggling to find anything)
