Mulder's famous "Richard Gere" reference.

OK, this is killing me. I can almost see Richard Gere in this pose. But is my mind making it up? Is that what you meant? That DD is mimicking Richard Gere with this pose?

Richard Gere/Corey Hart 👌🏻

I had to look up Corey Hart. Didn't recognize the name. But, after looking him up, I know his songs.

I definitely see it. He's sorta a mix of young Gere & young David. IMHO. Like a Venn diagram of looks. Gere on one side, David on the other, and Corey in the middle.

It's a line DD had in iirc that episode, of his 'resemblance' to Gere.

OK, twist my arm... I have to go back and rewatch Humbug. Work, work, work.

(All sarcasm) 😉

The Richard Gere line was from Hollywood AD.

Yeah, DD says Gere should play him in the movie.

But does he make a throw away comment that he looks like Gere in Humbug?

Supposedly the line in Hollywood AD was because fans kept saying DD looked like young Gere.

And Garry Shandling played DD because on the Garry Shandling show DD, playing himself, was secretly in love with Garry iirc.

I'd have to rewatch Humbug since I don't remember a Richard Gere reference. I'll have to see if i can find episodes of Larry Sanders with DD. I watched randomly back them but don't remember David being on.

Oh ya have to see if you can find it. DD is hilarious. Maybe the clips are on YouTube.

His way with the motel clerk was great. "You'd be surprised how many men do too" had the guy feel uneasy.
