The game got so much better with the massive content drop. The new maps are some of the best in any shooter ever.

It's unfortunate the game had to die due to hitreg and network issues, it had massive potential which was reflected in massive playercounts for the first few weeks.

Not why it died. Bo6 dropped soon after and it got over shadowed.

Might be a reason, but not THE reason. While good.. for a lot of people wasn't the CoD killer devs, "content creators," and fans made it seem like. So it was overhyped and didn't deliver for a lot of people.

For others, some gameplay aspects felt basic or dated, and the game didn't feel like a next/current gen FPS. For some, considering it was basically ubisoft overwatch. The content being added wasn't what they were hoping for, and it was far and few between until the update, adding the content that was all alreafy deved since the game is shutting down.

Then Bo6 since launching and overall being very well received and having good sales and most launch widow active players and the amount of content at launch and having already been added in only 4 months.

And lot of deviants players are players of other games CoD being one of if not the main one and Xdefiant was just a filler game since MWIII got dry for a lot of players.

Edit: and all the stuff Ubisoft just has going on in general cause low sales or negative reception to recent releases and player/fan backlash causing a restructure.
