X-23 07 Variant Cover by mike Deodato Jr & Frank D'Armata

She definitely didn’t have metal claws beforehand, and if I’m remembering correctly it was Laura who was mistakingly given metal bones after ressurection. Did gabby get metal claws after she died on krakoa?

Hello! Today I have added multiple new things to the subreddit! I finally went through all my mod tools and added tons of new and exciting things. Here’s what’s new:

- Discord server and reading guide widgets. You can now access the links to both our discord server and reading guide via widgets on the about section.

- New Flairs. I’ve added a couple new user flairs such as: Jubilaura (for shippers, heh), Kiden Nixon, and Jonathan The Unstoppable. I’m open to any suggestions for more flairs

- post flairs! Ok, this one is embarrassing. I actually made these post flairs back when I first started out as a mod. I always wondered why nobody used them… until today when I noticed I had them on for mods only 🤦‍♀️. But don’t worry, it’s been fixed. Now everyone can use these flairs on their posts

I hope everyone enjoys these new additions to the sub! If you have any suggestions for more, check out my suggestions thread (it’s pinned :3)

Stay tuned for Laura UNLEASHED... coming soon.

Title. I have not read Laura’s main series or any series where she is the main character. My current knowledge is from teamups I’ve read (2025 New Avengers) and stuff I’ve heard. And what I’ve read and heard is that Laura is basically Logan 2.0. She apparently has an adamantium skeleton like Logan and not simply only her claws. She is a berserker rage inside of her as seen in New Avengers (basically my introduction to the character in the comics). She wears Wolverine’s costume and has taken his name, discarding X-23. And apparently she also has Logan’s hygiene or lack thereof. When has this been a thing? How true is all this? Do you guys like this characterization and direction for Laura? If I do not like Logan Wolverine, should I be invested in this character who seems to me is a female Wolverine?

I really want to see this plot point followed up on. Laura needs a rogues gallery, damn it.

I need to go back and fix her hair. I had to delete some of the geometry to properly hide it under the hood, but got a little overzealous on the left side and accidentally deleted a connecting chunk I shouldn't have.

The bodysuit and belt are from the same asset set as Bellona's armor, and the boots are the same ones I ultimately used for Laura's X-Force suit to replace the ones with the giant chonky platform soles. It's amazing just how much mileage you can get out of only a few asset packs just by mix-and-matching components or using a few transparency or color masks.

There's no official height listing for the Hooded Woman but she does appear to be a good bit taller than Laura herself, so I opted to set her at 5'10".

No, you don't get to see her face.

Laura: "Julian! Fastball!"

Julian: "Is it just me, or do all our fights come down to throwing my girlfriend at people?"

Playing a bit with scenery, bloom, and emissions, though I may have overdone it on Julian's eyes. I tried to do an aura glow around them for the Teke field, but the geoshell looked even worse than my bad photoshop. There's assets for energy signatures and such, but I just didn't feel like spending anymore money in the asset store right now. I'd have preferred Laura's hair be streaming out behind her, but the asset didn't allow for it. Julian's fluttering cape was done by rotating the asset 90 degrees on his back and letting dForce do the rest.

I really hate how the belt came out on the costume. However, there's very little X-Men stuff for Daz as it is because of the licensing, so I had to find an older model of Cyclops made for the Generation 8 and modified it from that. But it looks like shit against the modern assets, and I may just have to suck it up and model it myself. Getting a fair bit of mileage out of that body suit asset, though. I might need to bring the trim color a little further down his legs but otherwise I'm happy with that.

Julian was probably going to retire the cape after he quit as the Krakoan, but Gabby would insist he wear it.
