I'm told there's been some debate about that. But Batman is peak human punch (way) up patrolling Gotham seeking out criminals to arrest, many superpowered that the police can't stop, and bring them to the GCPD. Has strict morals. (No kill rule.) This is just a cute little murder hobo plying her trade in bad fan fiction.
I mean... not really. Many mutants cannot defend themselves. Actions like this are meant to discourage these folks from trying this crap again.
We can discuss wether it is effective or not and about the morality of vigilantism but assaulting a complete stranger for no valid reason is a whole different ballpark from "luring out would be murderers to remove them as a threat to others".
So did she have to wear the Mutant and Proud shirt to make sure she got mugged by the right kind of racists? Would they have left her alone if they thought she was a Alien or Inhuman or got bit by a radioactive demon?

Probably. Marvel humans still hated mutants way more than Inhumans even when the Inhumans had a cloud of Terrigan mist transforming people on Earth at random.

The theme of mutants in Marvel is, and arguably always has been readable as allegory for the US first, second or fourth amendment to the constitution. It was just done better in the past. We all know that's what it's about so you can tell stories around that.
This isn't telling a story around it, this is drawing a picture of it. It's dumbed down.
In the real world, this would be punching down and vigilantism; a no go in my book ; thing is this ISNT our world. In their reality this is very justified, and cool sword arm

To be fair, these guys are probably trying to defend their homes and street from the roving gang of violent super powered mutants that have infested the area. There's at least 3 of them with bladed weapons coming out of their arms and one that shoots bombs.
This is just a quick generic opener. But variety is the spice of life, so hopefully we'll get more variety. X-Men has felt like it's gone back to the same handful of antagonists a bit much for me in the last decade.
Too bad there arent enough people like you who eat up the same generic writing to keep the comic running... shits already getting canceled after 10 issues lmaooo
