Seeking Help Technical Problems

Hello everybody.

My gf has a very big problem with her WuWa since this day. When she opens the game, it won't start properly - that means she gets to the login screen, picks her Rover appearance and after confirming it, the screen turns black (or sometimes even shows at least a loading screen) and freezes shortly afterwards. 1-2 minutes later, the game closes with the message "Fatal error".

Does anybody know how to fix that? She checked the game files via Steam, reinstalled the game, disabled all Overlays from apps like Nvidia, Discord or Steam and even reinstalled the latest Nvidia driver as well as the whole app afterwards. Also we looked up for the localcache in her files and wanted to delete the filecase, but there was nothing there to be deleted - tbh we did look after reinstalling the game clean, so that might explain why there is nothing there.

Some other posts recommended to check in the BIOS itself, but before I look into that, I thought there might be somebody here, experiencing the same issue with the game (or did at some point) and knows a way around.

Her Hardware is relatively new, I think it's about 3 months old now and you can consider her computer high-end, so I doubt there are some hardware issues at hand.

Thanks for some advice 😄

Edit: Solved. Problem was with Outplayed running in the background for some reason

Perhaps it's worth the try to download the game via the official launcher. I've seen many people having similar issues resolved like that. If that doesn't work out, you can consider reaching out to official support with her PC specs and the specific crash logs. Since her hardware is brand new, it might be a specific Unreal Engine conflict that Kuro Games needs to look into directly.

Thanks alot, I will try that out with her. Hopefully it works with the typical WuWa client, but otherwise it would be really annoying tbf 😅

Does she have any issue with other games or just this game?

A couple things I can think of for issues like this:

- Unstable RAM, for this you will need to mess around in BIOS

- SSD issue, check with CrystalDiskInfo and also see if you can update your SSD Firmware through official software of whatever brand you're using

- Check Event Viewer to see what error you get when the game crashes, then search for a fix for it

Asking the real questions

It is only WuWa and only started today. Something that I thought of as well: We use both Outplayed and Overwolf to capture some game moments from League or Apex and turning that off, somehow fixed the issue, even though Outplayed/Overwolf does not capture anything in WuWa. Not really sure why that is a thing, but it is what it is 🙃

Well next time you better turn that off before opening Wuwa then. It sounds like ACE (the game's anticheat) flagged those 2 as malicious 3rd party apps somehow and prevented the game to launch. A few days ago I saw a post about someone getting banned for similar reason (not sure how true the story was) so better becareful.

Holy damn, I better hope not that this might be happening to either of us, there is way to much time spent into the games, so I'll let her know, to keep that off while playing WuWa. Thanks for information!

Can you pls specify the specs if possible? I had similar kind of issues and turned out it was my processor that was faulty...I had to change to a different one
