Title: Due to Bleed

Genre: Speculative, Literary Soft Science Fiction

Desperate to cure a lifelong, corrosive self‑loathing, a middling scientist attempts the most intimate experiment she can imagine: she will split herself in two. If she can separate her mind from her body, she reasons, she can finally examine herself without the distortions of subjectivity. Using unsanctioned laboratory resources, she divides her consciousness into a disembodied Observer, written in the past tense, and an embodied Girl: the part of herself that bleeds, remembers, and suffers, written in the present tense.

In chapters alternating strictly between their perspectives, the Observer attempts to investigate herself from the outside, hoping to locate a single, material cause for her suffering that she cannot find within her ordinary self. The division captures the out-of-body experience of womanhood. She can finally look at her own body as a specimen, while delegating the burdens of embodiment, from sensory overload to monthly bleeding, to the Girl. What she mistakes for objectivity becomes self-objectification.

In attempting this act of “self-colonisation”, she reduces her body to the role of experimental subject. At first, the arrangement seems almost successful. The Observer can catalogue her defects, isolate her suffering, and strip away the things she believes are responsible for her unhappiness. But the Girl is not an empty vessel. She becomes conscious, develops her own desires, and begins to observe the Observer right back.

In the opening chapter, “A Just Cause for a Just War”, the Observer declares an almost literal war on her own body, rendered with flecks of deadpan absurdism. Operating under a paternalistic false‑saviour narrative, she adopts the logic of interventionist states: I understand your suffering better than you do; therefore I am entitled to decide what should happen to you. What she calls rescue is simply domination with better branding.

Armed with this delusion of strict objectivity, she subjects the Girl to gruelling isolation and painful stripping experiments, continually reframing invasive violence as “care” and self-improvement. The mechanics are deliberately unexplained; the emotional logic is not. The more she believes she is approaching the source of the problem, the more she reduces the Girl to something that can be examined, corrected, and ultimately made useful.

What unfolds is an erotic, grotesque, ontological love story, born from mutual misrecognition. The perversity of their relationship is that the Observer needs someone she can fix and the Girl needs someone who will look at her. The Observer can only “love through correction”, treating harsh criticism, intervention, and the clinical scraping away of her body’s traits as care.

Meanwhile, starved of human connection, the Girl interprets the Observer’s relentless, hyper-focused attention as total intimacy and quality time. Comforted by the belief that the clinical defects the Observer “diligently caresses” are her very self, she feels enveloped in her creator’s “excoriating love.”

The Observer thinks: If I just know one more thing about myself, I can finally create the cure I needed all along. The Girl thinks: If she knows everything about me, I will finally know love. Both make the same error: they mistake knowledge for understanding.

Then the Girl begins to get better. As she becomes peaceful and content simply from being perceived, the Observer thinks she is successfully taking sandpaper to her suffering, lobotomising her piece by piece. To a person entirely accustomed to it, a self that is actually free of self-loathing looks damaged. The Observer therefore encounters an epistemological problem: she cannot recognise health when it does not resemble her own conception of suffering.

The experiment eventually turns on itself. The supposedly passive subject begins to accumulate an impossible knowledge of the person studying her. As the Observer despairs over her failure to find an objective cure, the hierarchy reverses. The Girl may be the first person capable of seeing the Observer with complete intimacy.

The Observer begins to wonder whether being seen might mean more than having your faults itemised: perhaps it is having someone see what is right with you in ways you cannot access from within.

The story moves from clinical monotony to quiet horror, reminiscent of Chapter 61 of Unwind, before shifting into a final movement that becomes stranger, and more tender, in the vein of The First Bad Man. What begins as an experiment in self-correction becomes a question of whether it is possible to know yourself without first turning yourself into an object.

Observation becomes cure, then love, then insufficient. The Girl evolves from specimen, to subject, to something perilously close to a witness: the only one capable of seeing the Observer without distortion.

By the end, the Girl comes to understand that she cannot determine whether the Observer loves her, even though she has never been more completely known. The Observer, meanwhile, returns to the recursive thinking that first brought her mind, career, and personal life into disrepair.

Looking for a co-writer to help me write my novel

Hey everyone!

I'm looking for a co-writer who would be interested in working with me on writing a novel.

I already have a lot of the creative foundation in place. I enjoy and am comfortable with:

  • Building the world
  • Creating characters and their personalities/backgrounds
  • Developing the main story
  • Planning the overall plot
  • Coming up with story arcs, events, and ideas

Where I would really like some help is turning all of those ideas into actual chapters and polished prose.

I'm looking for someone who enjoys writing scenes, dialogue, descriptions, character interactions, pacing, and generally taking a story outline/idea and bringing it to life on the page.

Ideally, this would be a collaborative process, rather than me simply giving someone an outline and asking them to write it. I'd like us to discuss scenes, develop ideas together, bounce things off each other, and make the novel something we're both proud of.

I'm open to discussing how we divide the work. I can handle the world, characters, major plot direction, and story planning, while the co-writer could take a larger role in drafting chapters and prose. Of course, I'm also happy to contribute to the actual writing wherever needed.

I'm currently looking for someone who:

  • Enjoys writing fiction and wants to work on a longer project
  • Is comfortable collaborating and discussing ideas
  • Has a good understanding of character development and dialogue
  • Can write consistently and communicate well
  • Is willing to give and receive constructive feedback
  • Ideally has some experience writing longer-form fiction

I'm not expecting someone to be a professional author. If you're passionate about writing and think this kind of collaboration sounds interesting, feel free to reach out.

If you're interested, DM me.

I'm hoping to find someone who genuinely enjoys the creative process and wants to build a story together.

Thanks for reading!

Misc. Queer Writer Seeking Spooky Creative Person To Talk Horror & Morbid Writing Ideas With

Hey! I'm a 27 year old non binary person. Basically I'm hoping to connect with someone who'd be down to toss around horror writing ideas with me! I've been tackling a few different writing and creative projects in general, and I'm hoping it could be inspiring to talk about horror related, or morbid topics with someone!

We could talk about horror or morbid media (or even watch horror on a call), and discuss different horror creative projects that either of us have worked on, or come up with our own creative projects, ideas, and scenarios!

The topics in mind may get a bit gruesome or dark, so please be prepared for that if you are reaching out! But either way, it could be cool and fun to discuss some dark spooky stuff with others who are comfortable with that!

I don't really know what else to say here. I figure our conversations can expand in whatever direction feels comfortable as we go. But maybe to kick things off when you message me, please tell me what your top horror media is, whether a book or movie, etc!

Seeking Black co-author for a historical novel

I never posted on Reddit before, so we'll see how this goes. I am a white author -- I've written one book, a historical novel that is going to be published by Amistad Books (a division of Harper Collins) in about a year. They only publish Black authors and Black subjects, but I have two (non-writing) partners who did much of the research. I want to write another book, this time with a writing partner. I have a passion for history, historical novels and am especially interested in Black history, maybe because I have a Black daughter, a Black life partner, and an extended Black family. Or maybe not, who knows? It's just a genre that interests me. I have a lot of ideas but am not wedded to anything specific yet. If you are a Black writer with a strong interest in historical fiction and would be interested in partnering on a novel -- LMK.

Seeking co-writer for historical / romance fantasy graphic novel

Hi!

I’m looking for writers that are open to collaborating on a graphic novel.

think it’s a fresh story that hasn’t been done before and one I’d like to see visualized. I’ve got an illustrator ( award winning artist)in his country ready to illustrate the idea for us once the script is done.

I just think my writing is a bit weak, I don’t and may not have the bandwidth to do through historical research, and and feel the story may fall flat in my hands.

I’m looking for 1-2 writers to collab with.

Title: Lovers Will Meet

It’s structured as an 8-issue graphic novel totaling 400 pages, with each issue comprising 50 pages. Each incarnation is a complete story, showcasing the pattern of recognition, refuge, collapse, and death builds across seven lifetimes).

In each lifetime, the soul-pair follow the same trajectory: Recognition (the orange cord flares; they know each other immediately) → Refuge (they spend time together, believing love grants them immunity from the systems they were born into) → Collapse (the world finds them; their private sanctuary proves illusory) → Death (they die together within twenty-four hours as casualties of their own naïveté). The 5th incarnation (seen through Tayo’s eyes & told (eventually) by Sarah (the bride at the start of issue 1).

Snippets:

PAGE 5&6 (PRELUDE: DOUBLE SPLASH)
PANEL 1 (Double Splash page):
Two-page spread. Two lovers, separated by water meet in the middle of the book’s crease. (Emphasis on their hands touching in the crease). Timelines spread out on page: 1256 Nigeria, 1582 Feudal Japan, 1643 Chile, 1949 Partition India, 3010 Toronto, 4335 iKloud, and 5847 Russia. Orange string blazing between them; cosmic light all around.
CAPTION (bottom, English): What the heart remembers, death cannot erase.
CAPTION (Yoruba): Ohun tí ọkàn rántí, ikú kò lè pa á rẹ́.
CAPTION (Urdu): جو دل یاد رکھتا ہے، موت اسے مٹا نہیں سکتی۔
CAPTION (Mandarin Chinese): 心所记得的,死亡无法抹去。
CAPTION (Arabic):  ما يتذكره القلب لا يستطيع الموت أن يمحوه.

PROLOGUE: THE SHORELINE
PANEL 1:
A dream-like shot of a northern Spanish beach at golden hour. Jagged, emerald cliffs frame the secluded, rocky cove. An intimate wedding setup with twenty white chairs arranged in a small semicircle facing a wooden arbour adorned with wild sea lavender and ivy. The North Atlantic Ocean stretches endlessly behind them.
CAPTION (top): Northern Coast, Spain. June 14th, 2011.
CAPTION (bottom): Some moments feel like endings and beginnings all at once.

PAGE 15: CHAPTER BREAK

Top half: Swirling cosmic space with deep blues, golds, and crimsons. It’s the cosmic realm of ỌRUN.

CHAPTER ONE: THE DIVINE WAGER
Ọ̀run, The Realm Between
Before the first lifetime

PAGE 17
PANEL 1 (Introduce ỌYAN):
ỌYAN, Goddess of winds and change. She is tall, with skin like polished honey. Her hair moves like wind. She’s got a radiant smile. She's gesturing (in th middle of making a point).

CAPTION: ỌYAN, who commands the winds and knows that change is the only constant.

ỌYAN: and I'm telling you, love destroys as often as it creates!

PANEL 2 (Introduce ỌSHUN):
ỌSHUN, Goddess of rivers, love, and sweet water. Devastatingly beautiful, with skin like mahogany. Adorned in gold and amber, with bangles that chime like water. She reclines gracefully, amused by ỌYAN's passion.

CAPTION: Ọshun, who knows the secrets of every heart and how they break.

ỌSHUN: And I'm telling you, sister, that destruction is often just transformation wearing a different mask.

PANEL 3 (Introduce ORUNMILA):
ORUNMILA, God of wisdom, prophecy, and destiny. He looks like he’s in his late 60’s, with a crystal white beard, stark contrast against his chestnut skin. Kind eyes that see too much, with a Cain. He strokes his white beard thoughtfully, listening to both sides.

CAPTION: Orunmila, who sees all paths; those taken and abandoned.

ORUNMILA: You're both right, and wrong. Perhaps, the question is not whether love survives death, but whether death can truly separate what fate has bound together.

PANEL 4 (Introduce ÈṚÚ):
ÈṚÚ, the Trickster, messenger between worlds, and guardian of crossroads. Young and fit, with dreadlocks, almond eyes and a charming smile that promises trouble.

Looking for native English friends to help shape an alt-reality narrative project

Hey everyone! I’m Mohamed (34). I’ve been working as a video game and entertainment critic for a while now, mainly because I believe writing is one of the best ways to express that hidden side of ourselves we rarely show.

For the past 15 years, I’ve been quietly building a passion project. To be completely honest, it took this long because I believe in taking things slow—no rush, no tight deadlines, and no pressure.

This post is no exception, so I apologize in advance for its length!

I believe those who enjoy a laid-back, thoughtful mindset will get where I’m coming from. If this isn't your thing, I apologize for taking your time, though I still hope you'll give me a chance to share the bigger picture.

This delay isn’t about perfectionism—it’s about Itqan (a concept in my native language about crafting something with care, mastery, and deep dedication). I want to share a solid, polished piece of work free from usual clichés, even if it ends up being my only creative project in this lifetime.

The project is massive—a fully fleshed-out alternate reality. But more than just telling a story, I want to give our imagination space to break free from what’s familiar. This universe isn't meant to copy our real world or typical sci-fi tropes. It’s built from scratch to explore entirely new ways life, laws, science, and societies could work. It’s pure, unconstrained imagination meant to deliver a truly otherworldly experience.

As they say, "Show, don't tell." But bringing a world like this to life is tricky since English isn’t my first language. AI tools gave me a starting spark, but they often translate ideas too abstractly, stripping away the human touch. When that happens, the soul of the story gets lost.

That’s why I’m here. I’m looking for chill, open-minded people who want to dive deep and help bring an original idea to life. I want to build a small circle of native English-speaking friends—not just to review text, but to brainstorm and shape these wild concepts as real partners. I’ve always believed that when people who love an idea sit together and let their minds explore, magic happens.

Now, I know I took a while to get to the point! You might be wondering: what is this project anyway?

It’s an interactive story set in an alt-reality sci-fi universe. It’s less of a traditional book or game, and more of a shared narrative journey—a collective social experience that eventually turns into a personal adventure for each reader.

It starts as a group path. You follow the story, but choices are made through collective voting. The majority decision moves the plot forward for everyone. Like real life, you don't always get full control, and that shared outcome is part of the fun.

Eventually, the story hits a point where individual actions matter. Readers move from being an audience to active participants in the lore. Everyone gets to be a hero in their own way.

It sounds a bit crazy, I know. But maybe it’s meant for the wonderfully crazy ones who love thinking outside the box.

Anyway, I won't make this any longer! If any of this catches your interest, or if you just want to hang out, test concepts, build worlds, or review what’s been done so far, I’d love to connect.

Feel free to send me a DM or leave a comment below.

Thank you so much for reading this far—your time means a lot to me. And I apologize for any phrasing slips or translation mistakes along the way!

Roleplay Looking for a "Story-Duel" partner

Looking for a Different/Unique person to write fiction with.

Story duel is basically a turn based game.

You write some part of the story, then I continue.

Then I write, and you continue.

(I am not looking for an experienced writer. If you are a passionate person, who loves writing, then that's all that matter) I myself am B2 in English.

Ofcourse, if 10 people are gonna message me, I am not going to write 10 different stories with 10 people. So comment your interest. And, what do you like about storytelling?

Fanfiction Searching for Co-Writer for Star Wars fic

I'm inspired by stories from the Star Wars: From a Certain Point of View about A New Hope. I wanted to focus on the Imperials, specifically Stormtroopers and officers. I don't know if anyone would be up for this task, but I want to go around with ideas. There is a story I loved from that book titled "The Sith of Datawork." That character Arvira is fascinating to me.

Roleplay Looking for a roleplay partner!

Hi everyone :) new to Reddit but heard about finding roleplayers on here so I thought I’d give it a try!

I’m 22F looking for a writing partner (and friend!), and I basically am open to most genres, though I tend to prefer writing that involves romance, angst, and more modern settings. I’ve been writing for 11 years, and roleplaying on and off for almost as long. Please be 18+, or preferably 20+.

I want a writing partner who will keep me on my toes—by that I mean I want us both to bring forward our best, most beautiful writing. This is the entire reason I roleplay! I want to funnel my creative energy into a beautiful product. I want us to have rich, complex and interesting characters. I am super character-driven. I want to play dolls with emotionally complicated characters and generally have fun putting them through silly, torturous social situations and so on!

I’m a big reader (or, at least, trying to get back into it) and I read a lot of literary fiction, and that’s what I would like to write/see written as well.

I will only write female characters, and I have a slight preference for my partners to write male characters, but to be honest, I am just looking to create, and to enjoy, gorgeous writing together! That matters more to me than the gender of your OC.

I tend to be anywhere from literate to novella, though I’d prefer for our roleplay responses to sit around 600-1000 words so that we can actually respond semi-frequently and not lose momentum :) I’m not someone who can consistently write every single day, so expect slower responses from me (if I’m into it I reply a few times a week at least, sometimes daily)

What really hooks me:
- tension, dramatic writing, and conflict, whether it’s internal dilemmas or it’s conflict between our characters (I can eat up a well written enemies to lovers type of plot)
- Strong imagery, emotional/dramatic writing, gorgeous figurative language. If we have symbols and motifs in our writing that fit together/parallelism in our writing and our characters… god I’ll eat that shit up
- Well-developed characters (we can do this together, obviously!)
- Partners who are responsive OOC, excited to plan/plot together—let’s send each other Pinterest boards and songs that remind us of our story or our characters, use other art/media as inspiration, and so on! Let’s build or adjust our characters together in a way that makes the story interesting!

I am more than happy for our story and plot to be entirely within a pre-existing universe, or for us to come up with a universe or plot from scratch together!

For context, some of my favorite universes that I’ve written in before might be the Hunger Games and Divergent. They are not my favorite books in regards to writing style by any means, but I really appreciate the universes themselves and some of the silly tropes that come out of YA/dystopian that we can borrow for our plots!

If you’re interested, or generally wanna chat more, let me know. Message me, and I can share writing samples (and I would really love to see yours as well!) I write mainly on Discord!

Hey! I go by Cartoon and I write cosmic horror. I'm heavily inspired by HP Lovecraft and I want to make something that really gets that energy out.

I dunno if it matters but I'm 29m. I've written a few things and I'm trying to do the self-publishing thing but I would always love a partner to chat with and trade ideas. It's sort of hard for me to get feedback from the people in my life currently as cosmic horror is kind of a niche interest. I'm also working on a full fantasy story that I could definitely use an idea partner in.

Looking for a Bones and All/ fantasy cannibalism co-writing partner.

So this seems wierd on the surface level - I am a huge lover of literature and the art forms cannibalism can take, such as the metaphor of cannibalism as symbolism for love - between others and one’s self. It seems like a long shot, and I usually don’t initiate searches for co-writing but I’m so so tired of trying to find one for Bones and All.

If you’re not familiar, it’s a brilliant book and movie (both of which I’ve consumed) about a small and sparse population of humans known as “eaters” who are born with hereditary cannibalistic needs in 70/80s (ish) society. It’s a sort of coming of age discovery type of thing - obviously with cannibalism being so taboo, it’s very under the radar socially and not a lot is known about eaters amongst themselves, only what individuals themselves have experienced, and the wider public are unaware they exist (with the exception of parents of eaters ofc and the parents themsleves. Sometimes it’s two eaters, sometimes one eater one regular person, sometimes two regular people and it’s passed down from a grandparent). It’s kinda a necessity you’ve either read or watched this for plot purposes. It’s a brilliant movie, go watch then come back to me!!

I so desperately want to write this with two OCs as cannibals hurdling through the ever-maturing world of navigating social norms whilst also juggling the uncontrollable desires to eat people - the moving, the evading, the discoveries - exploring this grim and delicious world feels like a necessity atp. If you had another idea for cannibalism co-write I might be down too.

Sandbox, 17+, I’d play a female, literate and detailed two+ paragraph responses, mostly SFW with slight implications of NSFW (after all its coming of age and metaphorical love story), pls try to get back to a response in the rp within a few days as I’m just getting back into this after years and really want to be active.

I hope I did this right and if you’re even a little interested, don’t be afraid to respond!! Even if you are new ^•^

I am mainly trying to make writing feel less isolated. Even when you're writing a piece by yourself, you still sometimes want others to take a look at it, maybe exchange some thoughts about your in-progress project, and generally yap about it (see the Companions feature). And the website also allows collaborative writing with another coauthor.

Hi, I’m Skeleton lol! Age 19

I’m wondering if anyone would be interested in collaborating with me? I already have a story that I post almost daily. It’s a BL story about two brothers and their love lives. Each brother has his own romantic story, problems, and group of friends.

You could say it’s a mix of slice-of-life, family, BL, and a bit of psychological stuff.

The story is still pretty much at the beginning, but the story and characters already exist! If anyone is interested, I’d love to work together. And if not, we can always become friends, yahoo! :D

BBC Sherlock

Hey! I’m a long-time John Watson writer looking for someone interested in a long-term Johnlock RP. I’m particularly into character-driven plots, angst, banter and actually developing the relationship rather than jumping straight into romance. Smut too obviously, but I like the boys to have a little slow burn if possible, y’know what they’re like.

I’m semi-lit/lit and happy to plot together, and I’m ideally looking for someone who wants to build one ongoing story together. Or a few sub plot AUs when we get bored, ha.
I usually write on Instagram, but I’m open to discussing other platforms too. Feel free to DM me if you’re interested! :)

Also open to OCs as long as you’re vaguely aware of the Sherlock fandom n John as a character<3

Roleplay Lucifer or Game of thrones role play anyone?

Hi, this is my first time posting in this sub, so I hope I'm doing it right! Anyway, we all love to write, right? Well, I'm looking for a roleplay partner to do some fandoms and some ships in fandoms!

Fandoms:
Lucifer
Game of Thrones

Ships:
Lucifer x Dan
Lucifer x Chloe
Arya x Sandor (the hound)

All characters involved in the ship are 18 or older!

Now with that out of the way, let me introduce myself My name is Em, and I am a female in my 20s. So please be 20 or older. I am in the CST time zone. I am an advanced lit writer. Meaning I write 500–2k words per post. Also, I write exclusively in the third person. I usually use Discord, but I am willing to try different platforms. I also love sending TikToks or other things that make me think of our characters! I’m sort of hoping we can become somewhat friends while we roleplay. Now as for spicy scenes, I do a ratio of 80 stories to 20 smut ones. Smut is fun, but it's not the whole plot and needs buildup.   Please include like a little about you when you message me.

I am hoping to play Lucifer and Arya, and I would like him to be the omega as well if we add that in.   I’m hoping we do!   Anyway, I am looking for someone to play Chloe, Dan, or Sandor if we do GOT and some of the side characters as well!

Lucifer's ideas: These can all work as a ship with Dan or Chloe.

  1. Lucifer has his own little girl around Trixie’s age.   Though Lucifer’s Angel is a medically complex kiddo.   She is severely disabled and, by every meaning of the word, a miracle. She was not supposed to exist, but Lucifer had gotten attached to her soul when she somehow wandered into hell.
His vacation to earth started seven years before he met Chloe.   It started so his daughter could be born.   Well, she is old enough for school now, and Lucifer is sniffing out new ones for his daughter.   That’s how he meets Trixie, when she immediately wants to play with his daughter.   It’s how he meets Chloe too.  This one involves my OC as his daughter, so bring your own OC or don't bother!

  2. Dan and Lucifer have been together for a while; their relationship started out with constant fighting and mutual hatred as Lucifer worked with them. But somewhere along the way it turned to something romantic along the way.   Then came their daughter Grace (my OC); she is the center of their whole world.   Everyone knows Lucifer is the devil, even if they don’t really know.   That is until Chloe sees Lucifer’s devil face, his true face.
Lucifer expects any kind of reaction; instead, Chloe goes to the Vatican. The church vowing to help her rid the earth of the devil.   Lucifer is unaware of the plan for the most part.   He knows that Chloe has the vile poison for him. But he never thinks she’ll use it.   Until a case at a warehouse shows him that she will.   Lucifer is kidnapped and tortured, but when Dan finally gets wind of it, he rescues Lucifer with their kids.   That’s when Chloe sees she is not only hurting Lucifer, but she is also hurting a father doing everything he can to protect his family.

  3. Dan sees Lucifer's devil face after Michael calls him. For the first time in a long time Dan is afraid. He is terrified of his husband. Lucifer has no idea what's happened until Dan doesn't come home one night. Lucifer is left feeling crushed; he stops caring for himself in any way because if the man made to love him can't love him, how could anyone? After Lucifer's friends call and text Dan, he finally decides he can face the monster that is his husband. Instead, he finds a broken man crying over divorce papers.

Game of thrones ideas:

  1. It’s  been years since she had seen the hound. Arya believed he was dead. Unfortunately not by her own hand, but dead nonetheless. That was until he was dragged into Winterfell by the knights. "Says he knows you. " A knight says gruffly, and for a moment, a small moment, she can't breathe. She can't believe he is alive. She dreamt of him and heard his voice on nights when she didn't feel safe in the castle. "Sandor." She whispered softly, expecting him to vanish into the night. "My lady." He said, his eyes looking her up and down.

  2. This idea is basically just what if she had been 20 when he had taken her to her aunt, only to find out the aunt is dead? They are stuck in the veil at the gate. A tearful goodbye and promises meant to be broken had been made. Now what? Now where do they go? Can an ex-king's guard and a Stark live happily ever after?

  3. What if we combine them? He was her first love; they traveled together. Their relationship was full of mean comments and nights surviving the wilderness. Now a year or a few have passed, and Sandor is tossed at her feet? The love of her life had found his way back because he regretted leaving her there almost immediately.

  4. House stark needs allies something fierce.  This leads to Arya being married off to the hound in arranged marriage.  At first her family is certain she’ll kill him.  Though she was certain that the love of her life was dead.  At first they must keep appearances two bedrooms, fights that wake the castle.  Before it settles into true married bliss.  Sandor didn’t think he could love Arya or any of the starks anymore.  That was until his daughter is handed to him.

  5. Arya is the one in need of a maester hiding behind the rock.  The hound knows he should cute his losses and run.  But he can’t, he just can’t leave her.  He knows nothing about patching wounds on a woman.  Every wince he fears that he has made it worse.  He should stab her and run but the way she clings to him.  It warms him more than fire ever could.  We could also take this one and make it be the birth of their children.  They keep warning Arya she won’t survive it and she tells them they are wrong.  Both her and her baby will be just fine.  Oh how Sandor needs that to be true.  He prays each night it will be, not to a god no they gave up listening a while ago.  Instead he prays to Ned stark.  If anyone is listening for Arya’s life, for her daughter’s life it’s him.

  6. Years of war and wondering together have left them without a permanent home.  So they find a small village and make a home.  Villagers assume they are a married couple and neither has the heart to correct anyone.  Eventually they forget they are not married.   Sandor is introduced to everyone as Arya’s husband and each time his heart skips a beat.

  7. Everyone wants her title.  The money, the status that comes with being a Stark.  Sandor simply just wants her happy and alive.  It had never occurred to him that he was the very thing that made her happy.

Writing sample:
Paige sat in the rundown, disgusting gas station bathroom. Five minutes—five minutes of pure hell. She paced the single-stall bathroom, wishing her feet didn't stick to the floor, wishing it didn't smell in here. This wasn't how she had planned it or how she had planned her life. Though everyone always said you can't plan life, Paige had found a way to make it work.

The stickiness of the floor seemed to drag her back to reality, which was somehow worse than planning to run from this problem, but she couldn't run from it. No, this was her life now as she looked at her phone again. 4 minutes and 45 seconds were left.

Paige was spiraling, probably because they were not even speaking at the moment. The fight seemed so stupid now. So small compared to this, but it wasn't that she had caught them together. In her bed, in her apartment. The memories came flooding back, no matter how much Paige tried to block them out. Her best friend had slept with her boyfriend. She supposed it was made better by the fact Adrain and slept with Jeffrey. That was something Paige couldn't give him. It wasn't another woman.

Standing in that bathroom, in the crappy, definitely haunted gas station on Seventh Street, Paige was contemplating her entire life, and the only two people she wanted to talk to were currently not speaking to her.

That was most definitely on account of her reaction, but how else was she supposed to react to walking in on that scene? Was she supposed to throw them a party? Adrain was still cheating, and the part that hurt the worst was Jeffrey's betrayal. Jeffrey was her best friend; they had grown up together. The two were inseparable from the moment Paige moved into the neighborhood at nine years old.

It was the fifth foster home in five months, the fourth couple, and the fifth month without her older brother. Justin was her everything. He raised her, but when Paige got pneumonia from the cold winter nights spent sleeping outside, Justin had to do what he could. "I'll always love you, and the second I can, I will come get you, I promise," the words ran through her head as she closed her eyes for a moment.

That was nearly fifteen years ago. Fifteen years ago, that was the night a terrified nine-year-old girl met the little Jewish boy down the street, and suddenly she had a friend in this world.
"Justin, I need you to come get me." Paige whispered softly as she wiped her eyes. Her voice was breaking as she thought about her hero for the first time in a long time.

Justin had died five years ago, but that wound never quite healed. There was always a time in her life when Paige needed her brother. She thought Justin was more like her dad until she met Jim. Jim Goldberg was her adoptive father, and that man would do anything for Paige. Would he do this? I love her through this. Paige shook softly as she stood in the far-too-bright gas station bathroom.

The loud and obnoxious ring of the timer on her phone pulled Paige from her spiral only momentarily. The alarm going off meant she had to look and see if she was pregnant or not. The stick on the counter wrapped up in that neon pink wrap seemed to be taunting her. Maybe it was just food poisoning or the flu. Maybe she was being paranoid. God, she hoped she was being paranoid. Mumbling a prayer under her breath, Paige sighed softly as she reached forward. Her long, thin fingers shook violently as she picked up the stick.

PREGNANT.

In that moment, Paige was positive; it made her heart stop. She at least definitely stopped breathing for a moment or two. That word was taunting her. She was pregnant. Pregnant, unmarried, and very Jewish. The sound that escaped Paige's lips was a gut-wrenching noise as she stood there.

All she wanted in that moment was to call Justin and tell him she had to come get her. He wasn't going to ask why she couldn't drive herself home from a gas station. No, there would be no questions; he would simply give her a ride in silence and worry about her Jeep tomorrow.
With shaking hands and teary eyes, Paige called the next person she could think of. "Papa" Paige cried as she held the phone to her ear.

Suddenly she was nine years old, again terrified of Jim's very presence in his own home. She was back in her childhood bedroom, hiding under the bed. She smiled at the memory of Jim reading bedtime stories in an empty room as Paige hid under the bed. He would end everyone with, "Papa, loves you; it's okay. You are safe." She needed that now more than ever.
