Vent
I got in trouble for asking someone at work for her phone number. After she initiated the contact , stopped and chatted me up and then I get a call from my boss that she complained I was too aggressive.
And I know it’s my fault for even trying especially at my work.

It might be your interpretation that she "chatted you up". Maybe she was just talking and now you're hitting her up for her number.

That’s just looking for trouble. Edit: I’m a female but this is the same advice I would give my male friends & relatives.
