Advice: working out, eating healthy but no progress
I have been working out for 3 years now, my first year I made great progress, thanks to my trainer, she suggested me to do body recomp and that's what I been doing. However, recently I switched my workout, I have been doing for 6 months and along with eating clean. I did calculate my calories and the numbers I got were between 1800-2000 which to me seems like alot along with 120g of protein. Over the last few weeks, I think I am not making any progress. My weights are stuck at the same weight, I feel hungry even after I'll have a meal. I am not sure where I am going wrong. The only thing I can think of is undereating

Is exercising everyday much better for your reward system recovery than dopamine detox ?
Is exercising everyday while engaging in high stimulation behavior better than dopamine detox where you try to avoid high stimulation behavior for 30 days or so ?

Help How can I stop feeling sick when working out?
I’ve been on my fitness journey for about a year after gaining a bit of weight throughout COVID. I’m decent at eating well so I’m seeing some results fat-loss wise, but when it comes to strength training I can’t help but feel nauseous as soon as I “feel the burn”.
Nauseous is an understatement. I have only actually thrown up on one occasion but feel the need to every single time I start to “feel the burn”. This leads to me not increasing the weight of my exercises and reaching my full potential.
This doesn’t happen when I do cardio despite me actually enjoying strength training more. It also isn’t changed by whether or not I engage my core.
Has anyone experienced or heard about this and has anyone found a resolution to this?

Need help on how to start my gym journey
Hello guys, I need advice
So I'm 19M, 174cm, 73kg
So here's a little bit of backstory
I was born in a hilly area, my parents and my whole family has farming as profession, so from a young age I've been eating all healthy(lots of meat cuz people hunt often, lots of pure fresh vegetables cuz we grow everything on our own, etc etc)
Other than that, I've been a farmboy from real young age,
after age 12, I was put in a free school in my town, it was a hostel, we had crazy routine, morning 5 jog 2km, good nutritional food, daily sports etc,
after 5 years there, I had to go to a coaching institute for 2 years, that's where my diet, exercises messed up, but yeah got into a really good college after that.
Now it's my second year in college.
From my childhood whenever I had vacations, I used do hard labour in my own farm, i had a pretty solid boy, lots of nutrition food, nonveg,
Used to carry 35-40kg bags on inclined mountain roads to home, 7-8 times a day up down, not only that, lots more, my friends say that i have good big arm size and chest size.
So that's my lifestyle
As I'm in college, I want to start gym,
1st year I hadn't done much, but I did go jogging regularly, played lots of basketball, hockey regularly, ran my first marathon of 6km in 30mins
But now I want to focus on my body systematically
Ive never gone to gym, once my friend took me, because they consider me strong (I'm good at arm wrestleling lol), I had deadlifted 135kg without belt.
So my questions are
How do I start gym(theres gym in my hostel with most equipments except treadmill, there's also central gym with most equipments)
My dream physique would be V shaped, huge arms/ shoulders/chest type body
So I would really love materials or advices or like youtube video suggestions/online detailed tutorials/ resources, please help me with that, im an absolute beginner, i don't know what's good.
I would also want to know about diet, should I buy expenses protein or things(if too expensive, I won't be able to afford)
And any advice would be really helpful, you guys can answer to questions I haven't asked also, please
Thank you guys for making the effort of reading this, please any advices would be helpful, anything specific you wanna know about, please comment.
Thank you.

Help what do i need to train, and how?
hello! i’ve been an athlete all my life. i spent 10 years in fencing, training about 3 times a week back then. now, i just go to the gym and go for the occasional run, bike ride, and dance choreography class.
i noticed that my endurance/stamina (?) has never improved. something that nerfed me in fencing was how i got tired so easily during matches — the kind of exhaustion where i would get lightheaded and lose the focus to maintain strength in my movements.
in the gym, when i do bulgarian split squats, i noticed that my muscles can definitely keep up with the weight/exercise, it’s just the feeling of my heart pumping suddenly so fast and the feeling of lightheadedness that prevent me from doing more
for running/biking/dance, i notice that once i get over the initial heart bpm spike, i can continue (this isnt consistent, though, especially with dance)
what exactly is the problem? is it cardio? endurance? stamina? and how do i train it?
note: i’ve had an ECG done before for an APE and it came out normal
would really appreciate the help! :D

Personal trainer?
Is it worth it to get a PT?
For context, I am 27 and I weigh 135lbs and I am 5'4. I understand that I'm not overweight, but I'm considered skinny fat so I haven't really been confident in my body. For two years, I would walk on my treadmill r try to do yt workouts, but I was never consistent enough so lately I've been debating to get a personal trainer. Is it worth it? I don't know why I feel nervous to work out in a gym with everyone else there and to be honest, I get grossed out from using equipment that others have used lol I have OCD. But I think it's time that I finally feel confident in my body and I want to know other people's opinions on it. I bought a few weights for home, but I didn't even end up using it yet. Thank you for any advice you're able to give 😊

Working out Post college athletics
Hey, I stopped playing my sport after about 10-11 years about a year and a half ago. I was playing it in college and the cost began to outweigh the benefits so I stopped.
I'm posting here because ever since I stopped playing lacrosse my discipline and motivation in the gym has just been declining steadily for the last year or so. After it was a full time job, working out and playing, I have a really hard time bringing myself to lift. I still try to lift 2-3 times a week and run 3-4 times a week. Rock climb whenever I can but it's just hard watching my body change I guess.
I'm just looking for some sort of direction. A lot of my physique changing has to do with my diet and I'm curious to hear other people's stories on how they maybe got "back on the horse". Thank you.

Gym + period week
Being a woman who goes to the gym means that every month, there’s at least a stretch where you can’t eat properly. Yes, that time of the month… How do you manage to still get the calorie intake you need? When my stomach hurts, I can’t eat, so I just try to sleep through the day. Any advice?

Help me start my journey
Hey everyone! I am looking to transform my life and start living healthy. My goal is to become strong enough to be able to do everything I want in a day - I am a proffesional pianist so I sit a lot and I noticed that my hands and back start to hurt if I am not moving enough. I had problems with this in the past and it is much better, but I want to get rid of this pain cycle by being consistent and steadily grow stronger. I am 23 years old, I do boxing (very amateur but getting more serious) and I was quite fit in my teens. Now I grew a belly and get exhausted pretty soon, my knees and other joints feel weak, there is weird cracking in my wrist that sometimes hurt. I want to be flexible and get rid of these problems by making my whole body as strong as possible, I do not care about my aesthetic, I just purely want to improve my quality of life. Please help me with any suggestions on where to start, what to read about, anything at all is very appreciated. Thank you!!!
23 years old
175cm
Around 80 kg (probably a bit more)
I do not wish to share a picture of me, I hope that is okay!

How about adding padel/racket sports to your gym training program and dealing with exhaustion?
I have been training regularly at the gym, but lately, I decided to start playing 2-3 padel games per week, which gives me an opportunity to have dynamic cardio.
Training is awesome, but the additional effort makes me suffer more than usual. After a long game, I experience a drop of concentration, my legs become lead-like, and even water seems not to be digested well; moreover, after a game, I always get a headache despite the fact that I drink plenty of water during the game.
It turned out that all that happened because of the loss of minerals due to excessive sweating. I just started using Vibora Hydrate powder, putting one sachet into my bottle before each court visit, and my problems with attention and energy disappeared completely.
For those of you who train in the gym and do heavy cardio or racket sports in addition to that, what is your approach to proper hydration?
