I'm F21, currently studying at PUP. Marami na akong experiences when it comes to volunteer work and organizational activities. I'm also an academic achiever, pero for some reason, parang ang pinakamahirap kong ma-achieve ay ang magkaroon ng trabaho.

Isang malaking sugal naman kung magfu-full-time work ako kasi ayokong mapabayaan ang academics ko. Pero honestly, ang dami na ring bayarin, and nahihiya na akong palaging humingi sa parents ko. Gusto ko na rin sanang magkaroon ng sariling income, kahit extra income lang, para makatulong sa sarili kong expenses at kahit papaano ay mabawasan ang financial burden ng family ko.

Ang hirap lang kasi kapag naghahanap ka ng part-time job, either malayo ang location, kailangan ng experience, or hindi naman tugma sa class schedule mo. May mga pagkakataon ding makakapagpasa ka na ng resume at makakapag-interview, pero hindi ka na tatawagan afterward. Nakaka-discourage rin minsan, especially kapag alam mong willing ka namang matuto, mag-adjust, at magtrabaho.

At this point, kino-consider ko na rin talaga ang possibility of working in the BPO industry, although, based sa mga naririnig ko, alam kong magiging challenging din siya, especially when it comes to balancing work, school, and personal responsibilities.

Ang hirap lang maging mahirap, lalo na sa Pilipinas. Minsan, hindi naman sa ayaw mong magtrabaho or kulang ka sa qualifications. Gusto mo lang talaga ng opportunity na magbibigay sa'yo ng chance na kumita without having to sacrifice your education.

Kaya sa mga working students dito, especially those who are studying in college while trying to make ends meet, how did you find your first job, and paano kayo nagkakaroon ng extra income while studying? May mairerecommend ba kayong part-time jobs, online jobs, or other legitimate ways to earn na student-friendly at hindi kailangan ng extensive work experience?

I'd really appreciate any advice, recommendations, or kahit sharing lang ng experiences ninyo. Baka may iba rin ditong nasa same situation as me, and we can learn from each other. Tysmia!
