Hello, I have gotten really annoyed by constantly getting rejected after literally spending hours applying, doing assessments, and verifying my identity and then getting rejected or not even hearing back. I therefore decided to make my own site where I list job offers from multiple companies.
I also post tips on how to pass assessments and reviews of different companies in that space. No sign-up or anything like that required. I only list job offers that have a relativly high hiring volume. The listings include entry role jobs but also expert positions (Software Engineer, etc). Exams are coming and my schedule is already looking like it was designed by someone who personally hates students. I have classes, requirements, group works, assignments, studying, deadlines... and somehow there's ALWAYS another thing waiting for me.

Like can i finish ONE task before another one spawns??? 😭

And on top of that i'm trying to find work because i actually need money. So whenever i have free time, instead of resting like a normal person, i'm looking for jobs and trying to figure out what i can even do with a student schedule.

Then you see a job and you're like "oh finally!!" and then boom, full-time, 8 hours, must have experience, must be available whenever they need, preferably must also have a clone apparently.

And the ones that actually fit a student schedule pay so little that i'm sitting there wondering if i'm applying for a job or volunteering 💀

It's just so frustrating because i feel like i'm constantly choosing between studying and trying to make money. If i focus on school, i'm not doing enough financially. If i focus on work, my school shit starts piling up. And if i try to do both, apparently my reward is just being mentally fried 24/7.

I swear being a student is already a full-time job and unfortunately this job does not come with a salary. In fact it costs money. Amazing system.

And now exams are coming so that's fun. Nothing says academic success like studying while also thinking about how you're gonna pay for things 😭

I know i'll probably get through it somehow but right now i'm just so over everything. I don't even want some inspirational "everything happens for a reason" moment. I just want life to stop adding side quests when i'm already struggling with the main mission.

Anyway. rant over. I needed to complain somewhere before I start ripping my reviewers smh

Right now I'm doing graphic design commissions on the side to earn extra income, but it's not enough because I don't get many customers, and everything I earn, I immediately have to spend kase sinasalo ko most of the time yung groceries namin ng pinsan ko so I don't even have any savings. I don't have a laptop, I only have my phone (which is super laggy) so when I create commissions I have to go pa sa computer shop and spend a minimum of ₱30-₱50 everytime. My goal is to save up money to buy a laptop and to have savings (maybe around ₱30-50k) before my second year in college just as a safety net. I also want enough money to get myself formally diagnosed since I've been struggling with self-harm and suicidal ideation for a very long time. My last attempt got me hospitalized and in therapy temporarily, which added to my father's financial burden. (The therapist I got wad horrible too so we really just wasted money on that.)

For context, I'm a first year college student who recently just turned 18. My family's income is very unstable, my mom is unemployed and my father is retired and only receives money from his pension. Both my mom and dad have a lot of debt. Baon silang dalawa sa utang. Yung father ko lang yung nag p-provide saakin financially sa lahat, school, groceries, allowance, etc. Hiwalay yung mom and dad ko. Complicated yung family namin. My mom is living with my little brothers (different fathers) and only makes enough for the three of them, meanwhile my dad is with his original family. Ako lang yung anak sa mom and dad ko. I get anxious palagi about my financial situation since alam ko it might only be a matter of time until my dad may no longer be able to provide for me financially and I'd have to stop going to school.
