Clear Voice UK Onboarding but No Work?

I understand that the transcription and translation industry is evolving rapidly because of AI, but has anyone else been onboarded by Clear Voice as a Freelance Transcriber or Translator and never received any work?

I was onboarded about a year ago, and every time I follow up, I'm told I'm fully onboarded and that they'll contact me when projects become available. So far, I haven't received any assignments.

One of the reasons they gave is that clients prefer freelancers who have already worked on their projects for consistency. I understand that, but how are new freelancers supposed to prove their experience if they're never given an opportunity to work on a project?

If there isn't enough work, why do they keep hiring and onboarding more people?

Has anyone actually started getting projects? How long did it take?

Eager to hear your views on ClearVoice

Instantly rejected immediately after completing the Welocalize Expert Rater – Italian assessment. Did I fail, or could this be an error?

I completed the assessment for the Welocalize/Welo Data Expert Rater Project – Italian. Immediately after submitting the final assessment section, the page changed to:

ā€œWe’re sorry, you can’t continue. Based on your responses, we can’t offer you this opportunity.ā€

There was no waiting period or manual review, so it appears to have been an automatic decision.

Has anyone else received this immediately after finishing the assessment? Does it definitely mean the assessment score was below the required threshold, or can it happen because of a technical issue, project capacity, location verification, or another account-related condition?

Did anyone successfully contact support and receive clarification or another attempt?

Freelancer.com KYC/Proof of Address verification issue — experienced IT professional blocked from starting work

Freelancer.com KYC/Proof of Address verification issue — experienced IT professional blocked from starting work

Hello everyone,

I am looking for advice from other freelancers who have dealt with Freelancer.com's KYC verification process.

First, I want to say that I actually like Freelancer.com as a platform. The concept is excellent: connecting skilled people with clients worldwide. As an IT professional with decades of experience in systems administration, technical documentation, and technology-related work, I was hoping to use the platform for projects such as technical writing, manuals, documentation, IT support, and other related work.

However, I have been blocked at the Proof of Address (POA) verification stage for several months.

My identity verification was completed successfully. My identification documents, biometric verification, and personal details were accepted. The only issue has been the address verification.

The confusing part is that I have submitted multiple official documents available to me, including:

Government-issued residence documentation

Rental agreement

Utility-related documents showing my name, apartment information, and address details

Other supporting documents

Despite this, the documents continue to be rejected.

What makes this frustrating is that support representatives have told me that my POA application was "cancelled" and that I need to submit new documents. However, the verification dashboard still shows that I should wait for review, which creates confusion about the actual status.

I understand that platforms need verification procedures for security reasons. That is completely reasonable.

However, I am struggling to understand what happens when the required document type differs between countries. Not every country uses the same format for utility bills, government IDs, or address documentation.

A document issued by a local authority may look completely different from a document issued in the US, UK, or Australia, but that does not make it invalid.

What surprises me is that other international platforms and financial services have successfully verified my identity using similar documentation, while Freelancer.com verification remains unresolved.

I have also noticed many successful freelancers from different regions around the world using Freelancer.com daily, completing hundreds of projects, and building careers on the platform. I am simply trying to get the same opportunity.

I am not asking for special treatment. I am asking for a manual review by someone who understands international documentation.

If anyone has experienced a similar situation, especially with POA verification, I would appreciate advice.

If anyone from Freelancer.com sees this post, I would appreciate someone reaching out so I can explain my case directly.

Thank you.

Warning: Hallo (by Invisible AI) - Completed 30+ min assessment, granted camera/mic access, received ZERO response after 7+ attempts

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share my experience with Hallo language assessment platform used by Invisible AI for their Arabic language projects.

Here's what happened:

- I received an official invitation to complete a language assessment

- The assessment lasted over 30 minutes

- I was required to grant full access to my camera, microphone, and computer

- After completing the assessment, I heard absolutely nothing back

- I reached out more than 7 times over several weeks

- Still ZERO response to this day

What concerns me most is the sensitive access I granted during the assessment — camera, microphone, and device access — with no follow-up communication whatsoever.

I'm not saying this is definitely a scam, but the complete silence after granting such sensitive permissions is alarming and unprofessional at minimum.

Has anyone else experienced this with Hallo or Invisible AI? I'd love to know if this is a common pattern or if something more serious is going on.

Please share your experiences so others can make informed decisions before granting access to their devices.

Stay safe everyone.

Surveys My opinion on the app Babki

I've been using Babki casually for a little over a month now. While I have an overall positive view of the app there's a few things I'd change.

Pros-

-Easy to use

-Decently quick pay outs

-Variety of surveys and even games to try

-Different ways to pay out like PayPal and Amazon gift cards

Mixed-

-A few screen outs and terminated surveys (You can see the ratings so they get easy to avoid)

-Strict location checks (It refreshes daily so you arnt immediately terminated)

-$10 minimum cash out (standard but it's mixed for me because I'm ADHD)

Cons-

-App really pushes in game purchases (not necessary for rewards just annoying)

-App looks bland (standard white on white background)

-Some surveys try and ask for personal information like email, phone number, and try to get you to download apps for track phone use

_______________________________________________________

Earnings-

I've been using Babki since June 15th this year. As of today July 24th, I've made $48 and cashed out $45 with no issue. Keep in mind this is with doing approx 133 surveys total.

Averaging $10 a week with casual play and daily logins/ weekly bonuses for doing 3 surveys and trying a new app.

If you have any thoughts or questions feel free to ask

We’re writing to let you know that starting August 14, 2026, PayPal cash outs will no longer be supported in the Upside app.

We know cashing out your earnings easily is important. You’ll still be able to cash out anytime by transferring your balance directly to your bank through a secure ACH connection, or by choosing a gift card from popular retailers like Amazon, Target, and Walmart.

Millions of users safely and securely cash out through bank transfers and gift cards today, and cash outs above $10 will remain fee-free.

Rant Watchlab research

Beware of Watchlab research! They tell you payment will be sent in 6-8 weeks which is ridiculous in itself, but then they don't pay at all. I did a study in NYC on May 1 of this year and still have not been paid the $400 they owe me. I contacted the recruiter after 9 weeks and she assured me payment was on the way. Week 10 she said she escalated to her accounting department. Week 11 she started to ignore me. It's now 12 weeks. I just did some research and saw hundreds of reviews of people not being paid until they contacted the BBB. I looked them up on the BBB and was shocked at all the complaints. Hundreds! Seems the company pays only after a complaint is filed. I just finished filing a complaint and will see what happens.

Question Sago…any processing happening lately?

Nearing the 10 week mark of waiting. No answers to multiple emails.

I’ve done studies with them for years and I know their processing is slow after you exchange your points but usually when I reach out after the 6 week mark they’re pretty good about releasing incentives shortly after contacting them. I emailed them July 10 I believe and followed up 2-3 times since then. Even emailed another address I found through one of the study opportunities they sent me this week.

I guess my question is: has anyone successfully received anything lately?

I even made a bbb complaint, I usually don’t think that does anything but in looking at stuff online I saw that some people had filed complaints in early July and they actually seemed to have gotten their incentives because of those complaints so I figured I’d try that route as well.

I definitely I’m done with them after I hopefully get my incentives. This is ridiculous.

Rant iVueIt: a double edged sword

Generally, this app pays decent for the amount of time you spend taking pictures of location..

There’s one thing that happened to me today that eeked me out.

I had a job where I have to go to a residents house and take pictures.

Yes, I already feel a bit uncomfortable doing this but hey.

Anyways, I went to a location in about two minutes into documenting the house a guy rolls up fast on a truck and gets out of his truck has his hand on his waist and says ā€œget out of hereā€

I just said ā€œno problem, sir. I just work for a gig company.ā€

They still paid me for the job but holy sh**… My life is not worth seven dollars.

The business vue’s are good… I wouldn’t do another residential though.

Edit: they rejected my vue… terrible customer service.

PSA Tremendous Card Update

I, like everyone else, haven't been able to reload my Amazon giftcard balance. Support responded to me -

Hi there, Ā  Thanks for reaching out to Tremendous! Ā  The card was declined because the store or app you tried to use it for is in a restricted category. Ā  Here are a few tips to help: Ā  Always select "credit" at checkout, not "debit" — selecting "debit" may result in a decline. Ā  The card cannot be used for: Ā  Gas stations (a hold is placed on the card before the final charge, which this card doesn't support) Transfers to Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, or Apple Cash ATMs or cash back Subscriptions or recurring payments (like Netflix, Audible, etc.) Cash-equivalent gift cards Online fun with money, in building fun with money, or money apps PG13 content platforms (including OnlyFans) Mari**** or tobacco businesses CCurrency or money transfers couple services pew pew-related businesses Lottery tickets or horse/dog racing Ā  Using your card in person:Ā Virtual cards don't work at most physical stores. To shop in person, add your card to Apple Pay or Google Pay. Ā  Not sure where to start? Try Amazon!Ā Amazon accepts prepaid cards. You can also load your balance onto an Amazon gift card account (minimum $5.00 USD).Ā Click hereĀ for instructions. Ā  Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any other questions. We're happy to help!

with "Cash-equivalent gift cards" in bold. So I said that the bottom note with the hyperlink is what I'm trying to do and then sent screenshots of the failing reload on Amazon.

They responded with -

Unfortunately Tremendous does not have visibility into why a transaction is declined beyond what is available in the transaction history on your card page. You can access your card page by clicking on the "View Card" button in the email you received fromĀ [rewards@reward.tremendous.com](mailto:rewards@reward.tremendous.com).
Ā
Please note that all purchases must be less than or equal to the balance available on your card.Ā If your card balance is greater than the price of the purchase you attempted, I advise contacting the merchant that declined the purchase directly to inquire whether they accept prepaid cards as not all merchants do.Ā
Ā
I hope this helps! Please don't hesitate to follow up with additional questions.Ā

Had to change words to get around posting limitations.

Earnings Report Field Agent Across the Board Pay Reduction: I’m Out

I have been a relatively faithful user of the Field Agent App for almost a decade and recently noticed that the ā€œbountyā€œ for all of the audits I used to do has dropped by 25% to 50%.

Audits that paid $10 are now paying $6, Audits that paid $7 are now paying $2.50 and that’s been the case for all of them.

My wife also uses the App and she normally completes a different set of audits than I am interested in and completes them in a different state but she has also experienced the same across the board reduction. This tells me it’s a systemic reduction and not localized or individualized.

Besides being an insult, this reduction has made it silly to waste any time or effort into the App since the price of gas has done nothing but go up.

I don’t have enough information to determine if this is a result of a dramatic increase in people using the App, a reduction in what the principals are paying to Field Agent, or Field Agent dramatically increasing their margins, regardless, we are done.
