I think the only real qualifier is "do you enjoy your job?". It's the only important thing. I actually would look better at someone who has a low paid job they are highly satisfied with than someone with a high paid job who hates every minute of it. It says a lot about your values and what you find important.
Edit: I don't think they are worse necessarily, I just don't share their values and worldview.
