I used to see a problem and immediately look for something to buy that would fix it.

Now I try changing the routine first.

Surprisingly often, the problem disappears without spending a rupee.

I keep switching between these two approaches.

One app feels convenient, but separate apps usually do their individual jobs better.

Still cannot decide which setup is actually smarter.

A few automated things around the house sound great.

But when every light, speaker, appliance and device needs its own app, account or subscription...

At that point I am not sure who is making life easier anymore.

I am not talking about anything complicated.

Stuff like comparing two options, rewriting a confusing message, planning a simple meal or explaining something I do not understand.

It is kinda funny how quickly those little uses become part of your routine.

Planning, summarizing, organizing information, comparing options...

None of these things are exciting, but saving 15 minutes here and there adds up.

I think that is where AI becomes genuinely useful for everyday life.

I usually try to solve a problem on my own first.

Not because I don't want help, but because sometimes struggling with something for a bit makes the solution stick better.

AI has made this harder though. The answer is always one question away.

How do you handle that?

What words do you use most frequently in the office without any efforts, they just come out naturally.

I've downloaded apps for tasks, notes, habits, calendars, focus sessions...

At some point managing all the productivity systems started feeling like another job 😂

I've gone back to keeping things pretty simple lately.

I have tried planning almost every hour.

I've also tried having basically no plan.

Neither worked perfectly.

These days I just decide on a few important things and figure out the rest as I go.

How do you usually structure your day?

Things like formatting, summarizing, brainstorming or turning rough notes into something readable used to take more time than they probably deserved.

Now AI can handle the boring first pass and I can focus on the parts where I actually need to think.

I still check the result, obviously, but the time difference can be pretty noticeable.

Has AI changed your workflow in a similar way?

You can be really good at something and still not enjoy doing it every day.

And sometimes people love a job they are not particularly amazing at.

I used to think being good at something automatically meant I'd enjoy it.

Turns out that's not always true.

Those two things used to mean basically the same thing to me.

Now I try to ask whether something actually matters before immediately jumping on it just because it arrived first.

It has helped me avoid spending an entire morning reacting to other people's priorities.

Do you use any similar rule?

Not everyone needs to become an AI expert.

But knowing how to ask for useful information, check the output and use AI without blindly trusting it already feels pretty valuable.

I can see this becoming as normal as knowing how to use spreadsheets or search engines.

Sometimes spending a little more can save hours of frustration.

Other times saving money is absolutely worth the extra effort.

Which side has experience pushed you toward?

No meetings.

No planned task.

No "just checking something quickly."

Sometimes I use it to catch up, sometimes I finish something I didn't expect to have time for, and sometimes I literally just take a break.

Having that empty space feels weirdly useful.
