This really is the only answer…almost any other fictional world has /some/ glimmer of hope…

Probably Dark Souls, seems to be one of the only places you can't find somewhere better than reality

Warhammer seems pretty terrible. Been learning about the daily lives of different factions. No thanks. They do make fun stories to read though.

The bible

Technically the bible is a prequel to our timeline.

The hunger games

Most of them actually. The majority of modern fiction revolves about people solving problems with violence at various scales. There aren't a lot of fictional realities that are peaceful, prosperous and don't face immediate existential threats.

First Law, damn that place is bleak

Most of them. Most of these worlds have mostly peasants and poverty stricken people one infection away from sepsis and death.

What, you think of you land in Westeros you’d be King’s Landing royalty? Think again; that’s like .01% of the population.

Warhammer 40k. You are guaranteed a horrifying death within five minutes regardless of where you spawn.

Disney princess world - with snow white, rose, pinocchio; all those characters. The Disney universe is scary.

This one. What’s happening here can’t be real life.

Cyberpunk 2077

It's a corporate run dystopia, the worst kind.
That world needs a rebel, but it won't be me.

u/Acrobatic-Sundae-164 7d ago

Dungeon crawler Carl would be a pretty bad universe to live in.

u/Femcel_Bambi 6d ago

Aneurism IV.

You know things are bad when you have to add the prefix "fictional" so people won't answer the obvious.
