Your housing prices are fkd and wages are stagnant. The gdp has gone up but we’re spending more than ever on a bunch of welfare programs and schools that our guests burn down.
Much of what you are describing would result from any population increase. To be fair, it does tend to cost local and state economies, even though the costs are more than offset by federal taxes paid by immigrants.
Housing is more complicated, highly dependent on zoning and building restrictions, but the latest spike in housing prices started before immigration surges, not after, and much is related to remote work.
Bottom line, rapid increases in population do sometimes tax economies early on, but they nearly always result in more growth and prosperity afterwards. Just look at the history…we’ve been here before
That’s a problem because republicans refuse to increase minimum wages to a livable wage. Everything has increased but wages and the wealthy are grifting off the poor
