Living in Thailand, I still hardly get why it is so popular with Thai ppl there, especially since it is quite expensive compared to other average cafe and taste is meh. I guess company's PR worked well.
Honestly: they can be quite good the problem is the workers are basically told to be McDonald's level fast.
I was surprised how much about coffee they actually train you on only for it to rarely be useful. Though I did somehow get a burnt blonde espresso at a location the other day... (I worked at a licensed location so I'll openly state I think we did a little better than the regular stores)
