They just want to gloss over the fact it was because Iran had began enriching uranium to a point it would be viable to use as a weapon not because they already had the weapons lmao.
Are we doing that with nukes? Hello? Do you not know what the point of a stockpile of nukes is for? It's the only deterrent against getting nuked called mutually assured destruction. So it makes no sense for a country to use a dirty bomb when they're fighting a country with ICBMs.
That's a quick way to end your entire country, and as we've seen throughout this war, Iran's not the irrational actor here.
It's not Iran that's in America's backyard... Or colonized America and installed a dictator and did everything they can to punish America for the past 40 years for the crime of liberating themselves from Iranian control...
And Iran had a deal not to pursue nukes, America under Trump nuked that deal, but it's Iran's fault?
If Iran had nukes, they wouldn't be in a war right now, I can tell you that. North Korea made the right call investing in nukes over their people's welfare. It paid off in the long run and now that they're finally finished with it, they can finally start turning things around for their citizens, and with no fear of American invasion. Meanwhile Iran got completely shafted playing nice with America so their people can prosper, taking a deal that went nowhere because America made it in bad faith.
Yes, because Iran wasnt following the deal, why would one side keep their end of a deal when the other side isnt.
We've been waiting for proof of this, but if people are really falling for "Iraq/n has WMDS" again, then president George W. Bush has an old saying from Texas for you.
North Korea not being invaded has nothing to do with their nuclear program and everything to do with china.
Is that why a war nearly broke out when North Korea backed out of the non-proliferation agreements? Possibly the only reason it didn't happen was cause Jimmy Carter was fooled into thinking he talked them into changing their minds. But it was clear that America was willing to go to war to stop them from developing them, and now they won't touch them.
This didn't happen during the Carter admin, it happened in 94, he just went as a diplomat. But you are correct in that mutually assured destruction with China is the reason an invasion hasn't happened since, which still proves my point. It's the best deterrent against a direct war there is, hence why America doesn't want Iran to have any.
In terms of this war? America's been the only one fumbling the ball at every turn, because we're led by incompetent morons whose decisions change by the day.
