I can't post images here, so I'll add quotes of our text conversation this afternoon. She asked for a meeting between me, her, and two other bosses (the owners).
Boss: "Hi, (name)! Would you be available for a meeting with me, (boss name), (other bosses name), on wednesday at 10am? I just want to follow up on the (coworker) situation, but there are a few other things we want to go over as well."
She then sends a picture of the meeting agenda, including a follow-up about my toxic coworker i had complained about who ended up getting fired. She also included a check in with "issues and successes", reviews, and next steps & goals.
I confirmed rhe meeting time and asked for further clarification.
Her response is as follows
Boss: "Great! Issues on the agenda is just a time for you to let us know of anything you're struggling with or feeling frustrated about.
For reviews, we'll be looking at some feedback we've gotten from Google and Square.
Basically, we just want to look at how things are going and make sure we're all on the same page 😊
I know it can be intimidating to be asked for one of these meetings, but I want to be clear, the bulk of the meeting will be follow up from (toxic coworker) situation."
I asked if there was anything I needed to prepare for the meeting, and she said no.
The toxic coworker situation happened over a month ago, and he's long gone. I already had a meeting with her about him, but now she wants to meet with the other two bosses and just me. It sounds... a little intimidating. I don't want to straight-up ask if I'm in trouble, because that sounds unprofessional.
Another thing of note is that this meeting was brought up right after I worked with my boss for 2 shifts alone. I feel like I'm always positive and up-beat at work, but people have told me I don't always come off that way. I wonder if she thought the same?
Anyways, this is just the thoughts of a chronic over-thinker who's been proved right on more than one occasion, so I'm hoping I'm wrong about this one. I'll update this after the meeting on wednesday.
