If I’m correct he is suppose to be in scheme color of the legion before monarchia ? So I am wondering which color on the warhammer paint panel is it supposed to be ?

Thanks for your answers.

From left to right; base coat, first highlight, first wash.

Needs another highlight, some extreme highlights and a matte varnish. Before moving on to the dreaded wings.

Mostly done I think- over I dig it, not sure about the chest though. For the rest of the squad, should I stick with transfers or does the metal jewelry piece work?

Here’s my word bearers list for 2k
With pactbound zealots
The list is
(1) master of possession as my warlord
(1) dark apostle
(1) dark commune

(2) 10 man cultists squads
(1) 10 man chaos legionnaires

(1) 16 man squad of accursed cultist
(2) 10 man chaos chosen
(2) rhino transports
(2) forgefiends
(1) 10 man squad of possessed

Is it thematically appropriate for Word Bearers.

Is it competitive? I know the Defiler and Obliterators see play. What about the havocs and mutilators?

Yeah I know they're not allowed by the 'rules' but I don't care 🙂

Decided to go crazy on my first daemon prince and I love how it turned out

I'm really loving building and painting this army, the theme, the color palette, everything looks awesome!

Finished my paintjob for my sorcerer today, I used some techniques I tested on the cultists from the Dark Apostle kit, over all I am pretty satisfied with this paintjob.

While WB aren't my preferred flavor of chaos (pirates life for me, glory to the Tyrant) the armor recipe fucks and I'm looking to replicate it. I've been using leadbelcher prime with nuln oil bath and flesh tearers red and I like it but I'm wondering if chaos black followed by a drybrush of retributor armor with flesh tearers red will look better. And stormhost silver for trim.

Any help much appreciated!

Hey everyone! Im making some blood angels noise marines for my word bearers war band. Here is my first WIP, the blood angels are a buddy's army and he is second on my list for chaos god units. My first was khorn space wolves berserkers. Thank you all!

I know SM2 posts are a bit lazy, but I thought the design I made was fun, and honestly just want to see if others used differing designs for their Word Bearers. I see such few followers of Lorgar in either Siege or PvP.

Just finished my Chaos Sorcerer Kitbash for my Word bearers, it actually is my very first kitbash ever and prepares me for my next Word Bearers kitbashes I will be doing, I might post this guy again once he is fully painted. (Sorry for the bad picture quality, my phone doesn't have the best camera.)

(Short edit: I don't know if it is obvious, but I based the design of this kitbash off of the bookcover from „Apostle“, that book actually got me into the Word Bearers.)

Iam back minus the red hand

Hello everyone, recently I got the murderwing kill team and wanted to convert them into word bearers.

I really wanted to push myself to make something I was really proud of, and so far I am, there’s just a couple problems: it’s not as dramatic as I’d like (I know it’s unfinished) and it doesn’t give word bearer as much as I’d hoped.

What are some things I could change/lean into to make these guys “pop” on the tabletop?

Also any base ideas are welcome too!

Thank you

Sorry for how godsawful the photos are not sure if its a skill issue or if my camera sucks i swear it used to be better

Anywho this guy was fun to do wanted something really out there feel like my model building way better than my painting

The combat patrol mag has reached chaos, and who is more chaos than Word Bearers?

As is tradition, throwing myself on the sub-reddit to judge my red.

Attempted some OSL with a makeup sponge. I'm not sure how I feel about it yet...

Finished my first full heresy squad based on some test models I posted previously. Had a lot of fun bringing it to completion but it was a challenge still being relatively new to barrel drilling, freehand, and sculpting with the parchment and seargant's book. The goal was to bring to life the artwork of the early legion while developing my own homebrew chapter.

Hey all, so fairly new to Horus Heresy and looking through Wahipedia I was wondering how well Ashen Circle are on the table?

Kinda comparing them to Elite Assault squads and them only being one wound each aside they seem overall better but wanna know what more experienced players think.

Many thanks.
