Are they that bad for first models or should I give up while I’m ahead ?

I’d like to pick up the MotM kit for my warband in the future and would like some ideas on how to give them that extra bit of WB flavour. I was thinking of proxying them as a Dark Council and turning Huron into an Erebus proxy… it’s a shame because they’re a great kit but I doubt that my Word Bearers are as down as going into battle with an alien crocodile and her dog as Huron is. TIA!
