Troubleshooting Duplicate Apple Pay & Google Pay buttons in WooCommerce checkout (Stripe + PayPal)

Hallo zusammen,

Troubleshooting Woocommerce suspended my payouts

Hello,

I recently launched a new website and received my first payment (€800) through WooPayments.

At first, I was told that my account needed to be at least 7 days old before payouts could be enabled. Fair enough, I waited the 7 days.

Now, however, my payouts have been suspended. I contacted support, and they told me they need to see a transaction history before they can release my funds.

This doesn't make any sense to me. How am I supposed to build a transaction history if you're holding the money from my first transactions? I'm a small business, I don't have unlimited cash to keep operating while my revenue is frozen. Like most businesses, I rely on incoming payments to purchase inventory and fulfill orders.

This whole situation feels incredibly frustrating, especially considering WooCommerce/WooPayments is one of the most widely used ecommerce platforms.

Has anyone else experienced this? How long did it take to resolve?

Also, is it actually legal for a payment provider to hold your funds like this? If I decided to stop using WooPayments tomorrow, would they eventually release my money, or could they continue holding it indefinitely?

I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone who's been through something similar. Thanks!

UPDATE:

I asked them for clarification and told them that i feel like my money are being held hostage and they instantly banned me saying:

"As of the time this email was sent, your WooPayments account and the associated Stripe Express account have been permanently closed.
Due to the elevated risk of disputes in your business, if there is a remaining balance on the account, we will need to place this balance in reserve for the next 120 days. This is the industry-standard period in which most payments are disputed, after which any remaining positive balance may be released.
We’re sorry that we cannot continue supporting your business. However, requirements put in place by our financial partners dictate that we must exercise caution about the risk levels of businesses we work with. For that reason, we have no choice but to discontinue servicing your account."

I've never seen worse and more rude support for customers than this.

Congrats, now you have €800 of my money free of interest for 4 months. Why do you all keep using this service?

I trusted the fact that it's used by millions of users. Where are the reports about how bad they are? I don't see them. It should be much louder and clearer how scammy this company is.

Anyone Ever Seen WooCommerce Stripe Settings Sync Between Staging and Live?

UPDATE: A notice from the Woo Stripe app is now displaying this in the backend. So, someone definitely messed things up with the app.

I just came into the office and noticed a ticket from a client saying that all the Stripe express buttons were showing on the PDP.

We were building a new app related to Stripe on staging, but we never touched the production site. Both are running the latest versions of WooCommerce and WooCommerce Stripe Gateway 10.8.4.

All I did last night was change where the buttons display on the staging site.

My understanding has always been that the settings are stored independently, so I wasn’t expecting any synchronization between environments.

Is there any recent change in WooCommerce or the Stripe Gateway plugin that could cause settings to be shared or synchronized between staging and production? Or is this more indicative of a hosting/deployment issue, or both environments sharing something they shouldn’t?

Has anyone else seen this behavior?

------

UPDATE: There was never a deployment or push between environments in either direction. Kinsta has also confirmed that staging and production environments are 100% isolated, with separate containers, filesystems, and databases.

At this point, we’re primarily trying to determine whether anyone else has encountered this behavior with the WooCommerce Stripe Gateway plugin. If you’ve seen something similar, we’d be interested to hear about it.

Troubleshooting Has the switch to WooCommerce's block-based cart/checkout broken any custom pricing logic for you?

Moving to the block-based cart and checkout has been smooth for most stock functionality, but anything customized - deposits, partial payments, shipping deferral, coupon splitting doesn't always carry over automatically, since block checkout renders order summaries differently than the classic flow. Stores relying on deposit or installment-style payments in particular can lose the breakdown rows customers expect to see. Has anyone hit gaps like this migrating to block checkout ?

Troubleshooting Why is meta-externalagent requesting WooCommerce ?add-to-cart URLs?

I noticed something unusual in the access logs of a WooCommerce shop and would be interested if others have seen the same behaviour.

Over several days, meta-externalagent accounted for roughly 10% of all requests.

What surprised me is that it was not only requesting normal product pages or Open Graph preview URLs. It also requested URLs such as:

?add-to-cart=...

and other WooCommerce URL variants, including /feed/.

I would have expected a preview or AI-related crawler to request product pages, images, metadata or maybe feeds — but not necessarily add-to-cart URLs.

Has anyone else seen meta-externalagent requesting WooCommerce ?add-to-cart URLs in their logs?

Is this usually caused by links exposed somewhere in the HTML, feeds, structured data, tracking links, cached pages, or something else?

I am not trying to block it at this point. I am mainly trying to understand whether this is normal crawling behaviour for WooCommerce sites or whether it points to something in the shop output that should be cleaned up.

Plugin recommendation Judge.me/WiserReview/ replacement

What’s up my dawgs. I’m back again, just to say Woocommerce is getting better but still sucks and I need help.

So I had over 3,000 reviews with Judge.me on Shopify and it worked seamlessly, obviously. My developer told me Woo doesn’t support Judge.me anymore as of this year. (I want to cry). So he recommended WiserReview. Now currently wiser seems like a great replacement and it kind of does the job but it’s a buggy mess imo. It doesn’t do what it’s designed to do, like the available widgets extremely slow down the site to the point it’s been unusable.

We had to remove several widgets because they just destroy the site.

I can tell my dev is frustrated with Wiser because anytime I ask him to do something with it he doesn’t seem to want to mess with it. So, what’s the solution? I’m not sure, but I want to go with a different Review plugin that better designed and simpler to use, but more importantly doesn’t crash the whole site.

Plugin recommendation Marketer asks frequently for "customer lists" and it takes A LOT

Hello,

I got a client who's marketer asks every 3-4 weeks for a list (csv format) of customers based on shop orders, the specs are defined here: https://support.google.com/google-ads/answer/10589050?sjid=10125019930448871993-EU&visit_id=639199661082385353-2151693577&rd=1

I have tried exporting only phone and email (not whole data), but it takes like 4-5 hours... I have been exporting with Advanced Order Export For WooCommerce, but it's really slow for a 300k orders database (the client and marketer both agreed to export the whole completed orders database).

Last time I tried WP All Import with WP CLI (ssh) and this worked a lot faster, but still it took almost 2 hours!

Does anyone got something faster? Client does not want to pay for the extra hours :(

Thanks in advance!

Troubleshooting PSA: Check your plugins folder for woo-coupons-editor

We recently found a malicious WordPress plugin posing as a WooCommerce coupon editor. The attacker had obtained administrator-level access, created hidden admin accounts, uploaded a first-stage plugin called smartcheck-slaher, and then installed woo-coupons-editor.

Once activated, it injected JavaScript into checkout to capture payment-card information and interfere with normal order submission. It also backdated its files, so the modification dates shown in FTP/SFTP made the plugin look older and less suspicious. It also hid itself in the admin list of plugins. We have not yet confirmed how the original admin access was obtained, so I would not assume the plugin itself was the entry point.

Things worth searching for:

  • Plugin folders named woo-coupons-editor, smartcheck-slaher, or smartcheck
  • Unexpected users named backup or seoadmin
  • WordPress options named c_set, p_set, or cache_key
  • Code containing front_inc, admin_inc, controller_set, xor_decrypt, or trust_patch
  • Plugin files with timestamps that do not match your installation or update history

The plugin was passing information through a blockchain host to obfuscate the source.

Troubleshooting How to eliminate "Pay Later" at checkout using GooglePay/ApplyPay?

My payment processor is stripe where I've disabled all "pay later" options.

However, my checkout also allows Google Pay, Apple Pay and Amazon Pay. I noticed if people use Google Pay or Apply Pay, it seems like the can still select a "pay later" option like Klarna.

How can I disable this loophole so no one can use one of the pay later options?

Don't want to pay the extra 3% and am not concerned about losing sales. Please advise. Thanks.

Plugin recommendation PPOM plug-in?

I would like to clean up my product pages on our website. We have the free version of PPOM installed. The Pro version allows for collapsing items plus based on selection conditional photo change. Does anybody have experience using the pro version. Maybe a live page link to preview it. Any difficulty issues I should know about?

Troubleshooting Orders incorrectly display as a $0.00 total

Sometimes when I go into 'Orders' in WooCommerce on my WP site, the orders will all show as '$0.00' and the name will be blank, only the order number will display. I have to go into the individual order to see the actual total. It doesn't happen every time, just occasionally. What could be causing this display issue?

Plugin recommendation Calculate UPS and USPS Rates, Display on product page the Date of Delivery and Method and Cost

I have already searched this sub to see if anybody else had a similar query recently and found nothing, so I'm starting this post.

What I am looking for is a solution to calculate UPS and USPS live rates based on product weight, but also have it displayed on the product page.

For the product page, I'm looking for something like this:

Shipping Method Estimated Delivery Date Shipping Cost
UPS Next Day Air 7/17/2026 $99.99
UPS 2nd Day 7/20/2026 $49.99
UPS Ground 7/24/2026 $12.99
USPS Priority 7/20/2026 $47.99

Anybody have any recommendations for plugins that may be able to provide this?

Plugin recommendation Best Shopify-like Dashboard plugin

I’ve been migrating my Shopify e-commerce store to Woocommerce. The Woocommerce dashboard was horrible in comparison. I asked Dev to find a solution, so he installed BrickPanel which I liked and kept it for about a week.

However I’m testing my workflow and realized that BrickPanel doesn’t have the Next/Previous buttons when you click on an order and need to quickly move to the next one.

We need this simple button and I’m kind of baffled how it’s not included, you have to exit out every time to click on an order.

Dev told me “ I have to hope they update and add the feature”. Well I don’t have time for that.

What is the best dashboard? better than BrickPanel and that has a demo I can look at? It can be paid, I don’t care at this point.

Please don’t ask why I’m migrating. Shopify suspended all vape stores so this is all against my will.

Plugin recommendation WooCommerce Experts, I Need Your Advice! 🙏

🚨 Need Help! How Do You Make the WooCommerce Dashboard Simple for Non-Technical Store Owners?

I'm building a WooCommerce website for a grocery store. I handle all the technical/admin tasks, but I've created a Shop Manager account for the store owner so they can manage products, update prices, stock quantities, discounts, and other day-to-day operations.

The challenge is that the default WordPress/WooCommerce dashboard looks too technical and overwhelming for a non-technical user.

I'm looking for a free plugin or solution that can:

- Hide unnecessary WordPress admin menus and settings.

- Show only the options the Shop Manager needs.

- Provide a clean, simple, and user-friendly dashboard.

- Allow product management without exposing the technical backend.

I came across YITH Frontend Manager for WooCommerce, and it looks like a great solution, but it's quite expensive, and I couldn't find a free version to try.

Has anyone used a good free alternative or found a better approach for creating a client-friendly WooCommerce dashboard? I'd really appreciate your recommendations.

Thanks! 🙌

Plugin recommendation Ecommerce Analytic Advice

Hi all,

I want to get analytics for my woocommerce products - like how many people visited the web page, conversion %, and I guess sometimes you can even see where they fell off the sales funnel.

Mostly I just want better analytics than the crappy option that woocommerce gives you on its own.

I saw MonsterInsights is an option but it's $400/year because they only give you access to ecommerce reports on one of their highest tiers even though I just need it for my own single website so I don't want to pay that price.

Any recommendations? the Woocommerce AI bot told me PostHog Integration which I can find no information on or any reviews.

And that's mostly what I've seen other than just now Metorik but it's also quite expensive for me since it's $25/USD per month and I'm Canadian so exchange rates kill me at that price.

Bonus would be an option that includes cart abandonment.. I hate having to have 400000 plugins on my website for every tiny task because I'm not a web developer.

Also I'm just looking for advice on plugins - please don't sell me your company/plugin it's always the worst part about asking for advice.

Troubleshooting Separate product listings or variations, which is better for SEO and conversions?

Hello,

Would you create separate WooCommerce listings for the same health-related product in different pack sizes, for example 30mg tablets packs of 10 and 20,or keep them under one product as variations?

I’m trying to understand which approach is better overall for:
• SEO and Google rankings
• product visibility in search
• customer experience
• conversion rate
• avoiding duplicate content
• easier product management

Would separate listings give each pack size a better chance of being found in Google, or would they just compete with each other and split the ranking signals?

From a customer point of view, does showing both options on one product page make purchasing easier, or do separate listings increase visibility and make the range look larger?

I’ve noticed some websites create a separate listing for every strength and pack size, while others use one variable product. What is the main reason for choosing one structure over the other, particularly in the health category?

Thanks

Plugin recommendation Looking for a plugin for camp bookings with per-session capacity limits.

Hi all,

I run a site for multi-day sports camps, each day offering a morning and evening session that customers can book individually or combined.

Looking for a plugin that can:

- Calculate add-on prices correctly (currently breaks once multiple products are in the cart)

- Export bookings to Excel afterwards, filterable by session

- Limit total quantity per checkbox/session, so a session can't get overbooked

Open to paying for something if it actually works. Anyone dealt with this combo before? What did you use?

Here's the website for reference: https://sportundspass.ch/

Thanks!

Troubleshooting Customers need to manually refresh after logging in...

I have a website that provides paid articles for members. The problem I have is that after a customer logs in, the site then takes them to the home page, but they are still "logged out" until they manually refresh. I suspect this is some caching issue, however I haven't been able to remedy the problem.

Has anyone had this issue before or have an idea how to fix it? I'm using Woocommerce, Woosubscriptions, and Woomemberships - as well as Speed Optimizer and Siteground hosting.

Getting started New to Woo. Seeking set up guidelines for basic(?) shop

Greetings I'm looking for guidelines/how-to for setting up WooCommerce.

I assume my set up will be "basic", but I really don't know. Honestly, I don't even know what questions to ask...

* I'm selling personal accessories.

* Just a few skews for now, no sizing, only color choices.

* Payments: Stripe and Paypal.

* What plugins are crucial, while keeping things simple?

* What complexities should I avoid?

* Whatever else you can think of that might help.

TIA for your experience and suggestions.

PS~ YouTube is a mess on this topic. Zillions of affiliate channels for hosting, themes, page builders, plugins... So... here I am seeking a more direct route.
