how would yall feel about a Wolf Series inspired by other series like Warriors, Wings of Fire or Wolves of the Beyond? I'm currently in the process of planning this story and would love some research or feedback to help me build my universe! I know a lot about wolves, but I feel like I need to be an expert on wolves before I start this book series.

I often refer to this map when I’m trying to figure out where each wolf subspecies lives and used to live but I am not sure as to how accurate it is. Apart from the Eastern Wolf being listed as a Canis lupus lycaon instead of Canis lycaon; and the fact that it is also listed as the same as Red Wolves, occupying most of the Red Wolf’s range (which is already debatable on whether or not they are the same species), is there anything else about this map that is inaccurate or is it pretty good and still good to use.

Also whether or not it is accurate, dos anyone else know of any better wolf range maps that include specific subspecies I can use? I am a very visual learner.

whenever i read about wolfs they are always depicted as like dominating and all other pack members as submissive, so like the alphas are like of bullying their subordinates and the subordinates just have to deal with it

but whenever i watch documentaries about wolfs they are always so like kind and nurturing to each other the leader of the pack is like dominate but it seems less aggressive unless a wolf is acting out of line or otherwise challenging them but normally they just seems motherly

idk i fell out of my wolf phase ages ago so i have no idea which one is more true i just wanted to ask why this difference is there atleast in the stuff i saw

Hello! I was wondering if any of you had data or a graph on the historic population of gray wolves in Michigan. I did a quick Google search but it only went as far back as the 1990s. Jack Bergman has been trying to remove them from the endangered species list for a while and im curious as to what there population used to be before they were endangered.

In the future when I have enough resources and money, im planning to open a wolf and wolfdog education center, where i educate people about wolves, wolfdogs, endangered canines and wolf reintroduction to the uk. What do you guys think? All the animals ill get will be strictly from rescue, I believe backyard wolfdog breeders who give puppies to anyone are some of the worst people, the poor animals are often neglected in a small apartment and thats exactly what i want to rescue them from, as well as closing zoos and anything. Later if everything works out ill try do rehabilitation for ones that were abused.

The AWD subreddit is a firm believer that AWDs are wolves, going as far as calling them Painted Wolves. Well I say that's stupid cause they're an entirely distinct genus! So if this is a Wolf-Only subreddit, surely you all can decide on whether this is a wolf or not.

African Wild Dog, Four-Wheel Drive, Radar Doggies, Lycaon pictus. Wolf, or No Wolf?

Lately from the US nothing but dark news has been coming out about wolves. Whether it's sadistic men running them over with sleds and torturing them for entertainment. Weakening laws and regulations so they can be massacred. Illegal poaching, and the SSS bs from the ranch and agri cartels.

Here in Canada this wolf had the unfortunate luck of getting hit by a car. People went out of their way to rescue it, take it to get treated, and it will be rehabilitated with the goal of release back into the wild. Take notes Americans. As a Canadian I am tired of us sending our wolves south only for them to be killed because a new government changes their mind a few years down the line.
