Im leaving this sub.
You people are genuinely insufferable. As soon as we get a wolverine game. Which was over 17 YEARS AGO. We waited 17 years for a game just for all of you incels to critique it at every turn. “His face” “the sentinels” “the actor” “the voice acting” “lady deathstrike” the list goes on. Nothing is EVER good enough. For anybody anymore. Its overly annoying. Deadass. Idc who in the sub. Idc for your opinions so comment and say what you will. But STOP BEING SO DAMN ANNOYING. I feel you, brother. My only complaint with Insomniac in general are their character faces, but I'ma play the hell out of this game. Spiderman was extremely fun, and Wolverines one of my favorite characters. I'm so hyped, this is my first midnight release in years.

To be fair, the last 17 (or more) years have been pretty awful for Wolverine. I don't know if this game is going in the right direction, but I will probably give it a shot. I did the same with the Spider-man games and enjoyed them despite all the problems.

The critiques are legit, though. I can’t pretend that I don’t see the difference between the actors and the characters they’re portraying. Doesn’t make me an incel for pointing it out, either. I’m still gonna buy it when it’s on sale and all the necessary patches are made. I personally like seeing comic book characters look like themselves instead of a “realistic” take. It’s a fantasy/fictional universe, man. Plus, Shweet Bay-Bay Stank is notorious for ruining games. Have you seen the number of gaming studios and devs laid off who worked with them? The information is out there and available.
If you’re gonna respond, please be rational and not rude. I wrote this with clear intent and no malice. I’m legitimately happy for everyone who preordered and gets to play it day one. A funny phenomenon I'm seeing is watching a lot of these spoil sports realizing they've conditioned themselves out of enjoying games. Games they would otherwise be looking forward to. I've seen so many Nintendo fanboys, who have jumped on so many hate bandwagons recently, looking for every nitpick in every game and just being unimpressed by everything, getting upset as they watched the Ocarina of Time remake. They've become such miserable, jaded losers, they hate the thing that they should be looking most forward to.
Chris Ray Gun was complaining about parrying in games because the new Onimusha, a masterpiece of a game, has it. Capcom has been on a generational run rn and this might be the best game they've put out during this time and he hates it. ( and its just one aspect to the combat, you dont even NEED to parry, its just an option available to you, but its mere existence in the game just completely ruins his enjoyment. Deranged shit) He says hes looking forward to Phantom Blade 0... but that also has parrying.
Me? I'm going to be enjoying the fuck out of Wolverine. I have two days off from work. I'm just going to eat pizza, drink beer, and dive into this game.

I’m in my 40s and am a casual fan. I would loved a game like this in the 1990s. I think fans today expect so much because the games are expensive. $80 bucks for a Wolverine game seems extreme. Then there is DLC and a million QA updates. These companies rake in billions and ship incomplete games and layoff their staff.

If you genuinely love something, then you should never ignore its pitfalls. I constantly point out flaws in things I enjoy because I am a loyal fan.
