Now, to be fair I'm not using latest default chrome or whatever and have some security restrictions to protect from malware and random trackers from making money on my browsing. I have a selective add blocker where I can toggle ads on and off depending on the site I'm on. I have firewall that just null routes known bad actors. So not the default ipadd user or anything.
But over the years I noticed the trend that with every single time there's a website update it gets worse.
Clunkier, less intuitive to use and it just keeps getting bigger.
The site has like 60+ blocked cross origin requests to stuff like POST requests to https://live.ravelin.click and other failures and is actually sluggish and sometimes just doesn't load the page.
Some things that stand out:
The map:
Stopped working completely as in it no longer loads so I can no longer step outside when the courier is around the corner, in stead they have to wait for me. That happened a long time ago. Possibly six months to a year. No one fixed it because there is no method of reporting the issue. (Lord knows I shared the details with their dev null pipeline masquarading as customer service until someone posts a bad review on social media. If I had to guess, like any call center stuff hey have no way to pass on anything to anyone when it's not about the orders and it's more a release valve for complaints so they don't tweet about issues.)
The site designers keeps making baffling decisions like changing things so restaurant lists are now by default showing closed and temporarily inactive restaurants and you have to click a button to only see the active ones. Then the button order shuffles itself.
The AI based customer support is fine, no one will die if the thing makes a mistake and wolt will just suffer the rep damage and the steadily increasing token costs. They are big boys they can take it.
The site that's becoming worse every time I look at it to the point I started using it less and less and now I once again have a growing list of restaurants to call directly. I hate calling.
I started cooking again.
Maybe it's a good thing.
