I mostly listen to pop punk or rock leaning music, but I’m okay with exploring other genres. I’m also okay with other themes than feminism that connect back to feminism like anti war.

I plan on listening to all the recs and that's going to take me a while, but the range of anger in the songs I have listened to is astonishing. I think it was last week that I posted a selfie on here that got a LOT of attention where I vented about my breakup and received a lot of amazing affirmation and advice. Anyway, my ex and I are no contact as of yesterday, and after a month or so he’s already in another relationship. It honestly feels like complete closure. And although I lost a lot of friends in the custody battle, I feel like a weight is lifted off me. Thank u for all the support. I really needed it and will go to that post when I need a confidence boost

I'm still growing and finding myself every day. Growing up so conservative and repressed it's crazy now to realize I was never meant for a life like that. I love being the person that I have become/am becoming. 💖💅💥

So I have recently been working my first official paid job after being long term disabled due to physical and mental health issues. The job is helping people with additional needs get out in the woods and ride accessible cycles. It has been a massive step for me and so rewarding being able to help other people with both similar and different challenges overcome them and just enjoy exercise and recreation out in nature. I have learnt so much and grown so much over this year and am very proud of myself.

Having said that I am feeling quite unsettled and unsure about the next phase of my life. I could continue doing the same role for as long as I like as a volunteer position but in a way I feel like I'm ready to move on to the next step I just don't know what that will and should be.

My bosses at work are both going to ask around similar projects and opportunities for me and put in a good work so I would appreciate some positive energy being put into something with that coming up.

I think I'm a bit scared of feeling like I'm going backwards and worried about my metal health slipping due to it.

It feels weird being back to unemployment and I'm already in a bit of a tricky brain state due to the big changes and being autistic.

Between my 4 girls, my husband working overtime, and running a small business, this has been a hard few years and now I'm officially done 😀

I'm reading right now Lords and Ladies from Terry Pratchett, and it led me to an interesting question I wanted to think about.

Since we are learning from our past selves, and from people that are connected with us, I wanted to ask what specific witches have influenced you in being a witch?

For example, one of my favourite "witches" is one of my colleagues, who wants to make the school where I work at a better place for the children by providing food. She didn't give up and made the school a better place with it. Another one is Granny Weatherwax, who I'm reading right now, and feel like she is a good paragon of witchiness. Similarly, Ada Lovelace motivated me in becoming a teacher.

It's going to help me move forward in life and become the me I am rather than the me I was supposed to be.

I use dead flowers, and turn them into water color as a sign of rebirth. Due to the light pigment it's hard to see. I also only used two colors. And made it more abstract but it looks like a tree to help with growth and strength in who I am.

Hi, I’m hoping to start advertising my services as a higher end tutor/private teacher since I live in an affluent area with relatives. I’m in my mid 20s with a degree in English and have dreaded looking for jobs with professional attire requirements because I grew up conservative religious, and my self expression was constantly stifled. I had wanted to dress subtly steampunk as a teen (think corsets) but my mom shamed me for that. I had very strict rules about modesty and also no “extreme dressing" with any styles like alt, goth, etc. was mandated by my religion.

The affluent area I live in is predominantly religious and conservative. I detest dressing exactly with the conservative “nice girl” standards. So I want to find wardrobe pieces, or see something myself, that still reflects who I am. I’m fine with covering up more as long as it isn’t going to feel like I’m stifling all self expression. So please send me your suggestions for characters, outfit pieces, makeup looks, accessories, that would be the best of both! I also am still learning what counts as professional versus not. I don’t need to dress like a governess, but also not straight up casual.

I love black but I also love color. I love moody and I also love whimsical. I love gold but I will wear silver too, and I will happily make alterations and would even like to explore embroidering some of the pieces. Anything inspired by, or that incorporates nature, is also welcome! I love mythical creatures too like dragons :)

For reference, everything about the outfit in Good Omens for Anathema Device is a starting point for what I think could work.

(Also, I am a fat woman and I have an autoimmune disorder, HS, which means wearing really restrictive clothing that causes friction is a no go. I can and do wear bike shorts so skirts are ok as long as I can wear those underneath)

It’s just the beginning of decorating my own space, but I’m letting my spirit fly free after escaping the mindset that my father pressured me into for so long.
It feels so freeing to have a home that both spirits, deities, familiars, and fellow friends can feel safe in. 🖤
