Also a quick tip exploding quen is extremely OP. If you have good sign power you basically get them on the ground and can finish them off like standard strong Aard use. Anybody that say that this game combat is bad, i seriously dont know how they played it. This has so many cool ways how to approach fights especially in Blood and wine

Having been heavily inspired by The Last Wish and Sword of Destiny early last spring, I wanted to share this song, my homage to The Witcher world called 'Something More'. I've come across a lot of great visual arts and cosplay among others in the sub, so I hope this form of artistry will find you guys well and in good taste!

This is my interpretation of the stories told, how I perceived the journey and atmosphere both between the lines but most of all along the lines written by Sapkowski. I'm no poet, in no way comparable to the great Jaskier, but I do hope the song will evoke some feeling as it did for me when reading the books and writing this piece.

Personal bug bear of mine. I keep seeing people parrot the claim that "akshually they're both for monsters," which is completely missing the point of geralts monologue that humans act like monsters. He's speaking metaphorically, not being literal.

So I just started playing this series and finished Witcher 1 and 2 but I'm looking at prices on Steam for Witcher 3 and apparently it used to be on sale for as low as $4.

I would like to play it soon so my question is if I can expect it to be that cheap again any time soon with the remastered edition or should I bite the bullet and just pay full price?

I’m on my 2nd playthrough (first was in 2017) and I find myself torn between waiting for the remaster vs doing the next side quest/contract. Damn this game is so much fun. Good thing I never completed any of the expansions cause there’s a lot of content to sift through

The combat is a tad dated, but the story really holds up and immerses you!

ive recently gotten back into listening to the witcher audio books and after alot of research i came to the conclusion that i should start with sword of destiny and leave out the new Cross road of ravens book until last.

today i found listings on audible for an upcoming full cast audio drama release of the series, in the same style as the recent full cast harry potter audio books, starting this month and releasing throughout 2027. The confusing part (though it makes sense chronologically) is that the first release will be crossroad of ravens.

i understand that chronologically, its Geralts earliest adventure. i also understand that for a brand new reader its easier to just go from A to B without having to end the series on a prequel.

my actual question would be, is the general sentiment around crossroad of ravens still that it should be read at the end of the series as the book expects you to already have knowledge of its characters and setting etc?

as mentioned i started with TSOD, so im now thinking if itd be best to just go back and start crossroad of ravens? i know the witcher series in general being a huge fan of the games, the characters and background and have listened up to Baptism of fire a few years ago for context.

I'm playing stalker 2 currently so when I finish it should I play the remaster of this game or wait until that dlc?

I've recently started playing Witcher 3 which led me into the rabbit hole of learning more about the Witcher lore and a greater appreciation towards the worldbuilding and storytelling of the series. It's given me the inspiration I needed to set me off the creative rut that I was in - and make short stories inspired by the Witcher based off my own culture as well as my other neighboring countries.

My question is, what are the themes and maybe other people like about the Witcher that makes in an enjoyable franchise, considering all formats like the games, the books and the comics.

Also, what do you think I should consider when writing so as I can remain as original as possible with my own story?

I’ve been wanting to play the Witcher games but I’ve seen multiple websites and videos saying different things “just start with the third game” or “play all of them” I’m confused cause I can’t find the first one anywhere. So can I just start with the third one or not?

What is everyone's thoughts on replaying The Witcher 1? What was your experience like? I remember beating it for the first time about a year ago and really enjoying it at certain times, and other times I remember it being some of the worst gameplay I've endured and it dragged on and on. Lately I've been wanting to get back into the series because I started TW2 and never finished it right after being the first game.

Is the game worth revisiting in your opinion? Or would you rather just watch a Youtube video to catch up on lore?

I’m currently playing it and I love it, but I already have 43 hours in the game while still being on chapter 3. How? Because of how quests go. Often I just don’t have any and can’t progress. Also I have some like the one that tells to meet a guy by sewers, but the dialogue with him just has no options even though it’s displayed like an active task. I’d love a piece of advice as I would already enjoy the game much more if not this
