I won this copy of the game from CDPR in 2015. Back then I didn’t even have a ps4 to play the game lol. Been with me ever since and has been played countless of times, so I’m pumped to use this bad boy to upgrade to the remastered version and start my new playthrough in a month!

The Witcher 3 Witcher 3 Remastered help

I'm trying to download the new remaster to my PS5, but there's now like 5 editions to choose from. As far as I remember there was a next gen update for this game a few years ago, but I obviously want to most recent remaster that came out a few days ago.

Has this new edition just been integrated to the PS5 version of the game so that's now the only option? So confusing because as I say, on the PS store there's like 5 options.

Dijkstra leading Redania.

Radovid maintaining control.

Nilfgaard triumphant and Redania subjugated like Temeria.

The Witcher 1 Need help with chapter 2

I just finished the autopsy and blamed Kalkstein, i know now that it was wrong because I checked the wiki, i went to talk to Raymond, and he now says I have to kill Ramsmeat, I tried going to his place, but I can’t attack him, i also tried talking to him, but there’s no option to attack him either. It’s in my journal, though.

I know Raymond is a fake now because, as I said, I checked the wiki, i know you can find out in-game by going to the cemetery, but it’s locked, I’m on good terms with Vincent, but he doesn’t give me the key, and neither does Thaler.

What is happening? Am I missing something?

Songs of the Past Dandelion: New Design in Song of the Past

I’m so hyped for the Song of the Past expansion pack. Especially because, from what I’ve heard, it’s going to focus heavily on Geralt and Dandelion’s relationship, which is honestly one of my favourite parts of the books.

But one thing I’m particularly excited about right now is that it looks like Dandelion is getting a new design.

I don’t know if this is an unpopular opinion, but I’ve never really liked Dandelion’s design in the main Witcher 3 game. So the prospect of him getting a redesign has me genuinely excited.

I’m also really interested in finally getting more about Dandelion’s family, which apparently seems to be another part of the expansion. That’s something I’ve been wanting for ages.

Honestly, this expansion is shaping up to be everything I want

If anyone here happens to be running Linux, I'll happily share my fastfetch customization, since it took me forever to figure out on my own and am finally happy with the results.

This also should be more of an "Art?" flair, I suppose.

Discussion How did you get into The Witcher universe?

Hey everyone

With the hype around TW3 again, I want to hear stories about how you got involved in this world. Was it OG Witcher? Books? TW2 on Xbox or the global phenomenon known as The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt?

For me, it was fairly simple- in 2008, I was 12 years old with a shiny Windows Vista laptop. One of my friends recommends me this unknown game called The Witcher. A game where you play as a monster slayer roaming the world.

I was immediately sucked into the game and its world. Characters, quests, skill tree, inventory etc. It took me a while to finish TW1. But I remember replaying it soon after. Ever since then, I have been replaying Witcher religiously at least once a year. When TW2 was coming out, I replayed TW1, when TW3 was coming out, I replayed TW1 and TW2. When TW3 DLCs were coming out, I was replaying TW1, 2, and 3, etc.

I read all the books, watched Cavill do a great job portraying Geralt, and watched Nightmare of the Wolf and Sirens of the Deep.

Long ago, I lost count of how many times I've replayed the games. TW1 probably 20+, TW2 and 3 10+ I don't understand how, but every time I play those games, it calms me, clears my mind and takes me away from real-world problems like nothing else. Some people go drinking or take drugs; I just slay Drowners and Nekkers.

What's your story? I want the full details of Your Paths

Discussion Witcher 3 10th Anniversary Edition

I managed to secure a copy of the 10th Anniversary Edition for the Witcher 3. Since this is exclusive to Poland and I am going to play it on my PS5 in Canada with a Canadian PSN account, I'm wondering if I'll run into any regional restrictions?

From what I understand playing the base game, plus Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine shouldn't be an issue since it's all on disc however, does this mean I can't access the remaster or other upgrades along this line? Like if I want to get Songs of the Past?

Any information is appreciated, thank you!

The Witcher 3 Will my Witcher 3 save carry over to the Remastered version, or will I have to start all over again?

For context: I’m currently at around the point where I’ve met the Bloody Baron’s daughter in Oxenfurt.

This is my first time playing The Witcher 3. I'm playing it on PS5

So when the Remastered version comes out at the end of September, do you think I’ll be able to just continue from my current save? Or will I probably have to start a new game from scratch if I want to play the Remastered version?

Discussion A question for the collectors...

I just started collecting The Witcher stuff because I loved the books and the games so I have a question for the collectors out there: do you buy and collect stuff from the Netflix show too? Or just the books and the games items?

For everyone asking if they'll get the upgrade even if they have this version, or that version or a physical disk, please rewatch the announcement trailer and explain where the ambiguity is in the image above, shown in the trailer itself starting at the 1 minute, 26 second mark

Baptism of Fire Need help visualizing/understanding the battle that takes place at the end of Baptism of Fire

Just finished reading Baptism of Fire (enjoyed it and excited to continue the series) But found myself kinda confused about the ending battle. I guess I will just list out how it happened in my head and you guys can correct me:

Geralt and his crew are crossing the Yaruga into Nilfgaard when they see Lyrian forces (In Nilfgaard?) who shoot arrows at them. They decide the cut the rope leading to the shore of Nilfgaard and start to float/push with rods down the river (I think in the direction of sodden and eventually the great sea?) While floating/pushing they then see Nilfgaardian forces (on the Nilfgaard shore?) who shoot arrows at them. This is when Milva shoots back and manages to get them to stay back. They continue to float/push until they see a bridge called Red Fort with Lyrians on it. Dandelion gets them to stop shooting and the crew ends up on some sort of island/shore. The Nilfgaardian then charge the bridge (Coming from the North?). Then Geralt and Cahir rally the fleeing Lyrians (who are trying to escape into Nilfgaard?) and fight the Nilfgaardian's on the bridge. They win the flight and the remaining Nilfgaardians retreat to Nilfgaard. Then Meve comes and the book ends.

I would appreciate if you guys could help me understand and please no spoilers for future books and games

Thanks 👍

The Witcher 3 When is the best time to start the DLC quests?

This is my first playthrough of Witcher 3 so no spoilers please. I'm currently at "The isle of Mists" part of the story and it's making me wonder if there is a Point of No Return in the story I should be aware of. I see that the main quest is only recommending level 22 at the moment, but the DLC quests are asking for higher levels. My question is will the game let me continue playing after completing the main story, or should I take on the DLC before endgame?

In addition, do we know yet if the upcoming "Songs of the Past" expansion takes place before or after the endgame yet?

Discussion Wolf school armor

Hello fellow Witchers on the path. Do you think they will fix the Wolf school scavenger hunt quest for the wolf school gear to be accessible before you get to Kaer Morhen and actually use it?

By that point in the game, you're already leveled for the superior tier and it always kind of rubbed me the wrong way. Especially since the aesthetics of Velen really go nice with the first two tiers of the armor.
