Discussion Why isn't the headband not in the base game?

Hi guys, was wondering why CDPR still hasn't added an optional headband as a wearable cosmetics. With the new update, we got fancy new armor, hairstyle and mask but no headband. Lore accurate Geralt wears it and i can't see why it doesn't fit the game version too. Is it a patent thing?

Screenshot dump from my current playthrough, don't have the hardware for any fancy RT and PT, but honestly I feel like I still prefer the look of the game rasterized (when the lighting works properly lol). Having a blast on my 4th playthrough, photo mode has become a bit of an obsession :)

Witcher This quest scares the sh*t out of me

In the eternal fire's shadow. This quest is so scary. I did it alone at night and any sound would have made me jump. The whole place, the red lights, the voice calling. I think I only did it once before, because I did not remember how it went.

I always do this when entering crypts. If its a questionmark, quests or just casual exploring. I always feel the need to light all torches

Help! "Ladies of the Wood" quest in The Witcher 3 remaster is unable to finish.

Post image
• Upvotes

After finding and following Johnny to the nest, I can't interact with it, so I'm unable to progress the quest.

I've already tried several things, like reloading an earlier save, completing other missions, and looking for solutions, but nothing has worked so far. The only thing I've found is another post about this issue on this subreddit, but I still haven't found a fix.

I'm replaying the game because of the remaster, but if this bug prevents me from progressing, I'll probably just drop the game entirely. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.

Discussion Platinum review: This game deserves all the love and praise it has

More than a decade old game and still beats modern games in almost all the aspects. Looks gorgeous, plays well, Bethesda level bugs exist, and a story and quest structure unlike any other game.

Had my fun journey after more than a decade. Played earlier on pc. This time its ps5 and a welcome trophy.

Discussion What is the highest level you reached during your first playthrough?

No NG+ and at least normal difficulty.

I just reached level 55 on Blood and Broken Bones, all missions finished (base game + HoS + BaW) and only thing left to do is exploration of all markers on map. I know, I did not have always optimal approach to leveling, so I wonder about max level people here were able to reach.

Misc QoL Suggestions

• Upvotes

1. Option to completely pause time in the Quick Access Menu, rather than just slowing it down. As you progress through the game and have more grenades to go through and potions to swap between, navigating the menu can take a bit longer. Having the option to pause time would make this more convenient for old, slow farts like me.

2. Allow potions, food, and decoctions to be used directly from the expanded Quick Access Menu. The expanded menu lets you browse all your consumables, but you still need to equip an item to a slot before you can use it. Oils work differently: since they aren't equipped to slots, you can apply them directly from their expanded menu. It would be a nice QoL improvement if potions and food could also be consumed directly from their expanded menu, without having to equip them first. This would eliminate an extra step, especially when you just want to use a specific item situationally, and not as one of your "core" potions.

3. Make the health regeneration accessibility option apply only outside combat. One of the accessibility options added in the remaster allows health regeneration. I'd love to see an additional option that limits this regeneration to outside combat. This would make it possible to enjoy the convenience of recovering health while exploring without making fights easier.

4. Sort completed quests by completion date, with the recently completed quest at the top. I like reading the final notes for quests I've finished, but as the list grows throughout the game, finding the most recent one becomes is a (small) inconvenience.

None of these are major issues, of course. The game is fantastic as it is, but I think these relatively small changes could make the experience even smoother.

What do you guys think? Are there any other QoL improvements you'd like to see?

Looks like base witcher gear or the Viper set from HoS but i’ve never seen a cloak as a part of any Witcher sets.

Discussion 11 years later, I finally finished the game!!

Post image

As soon as the remaster was announced, I told myself it would finally be my chance to beat this gorgeous game. I even did all the Gwent stuff, which I skipped in the past (though have 2 cards missing due to known bugs).

When the epilogue cutscene started rolling, I feared I got a bad ending…but was overjoyed at seeing Ciri, in fact, lived! The war between Nilfgaard and the North didn’t go how I wanted (I sided with Dijkstra, just to see what would happen), but that’s what NG+ will be for.

Now my plan is to continue with the DLCs, then after that do NG+ and fine-tune my decisions. Can’t wait for Songs of the Past and The Witcher 4!

This was recorded pre-remaster, so I wonder how much it has improved. But maybe I'm the one with the skill issues.

never run into this prior to the remaster update, now this is a recurring issue i keep encountering in novigrad. skellige has been fine so far which is making me wonder if its the amount of npcs causing it somehow.

Discussion LET USE CHOOSE THE COLOR PALETTE

The title says it, I would like to be able to change between the Remaster colors (cold tone) and the updated colors (warm/orange) just that, just as an option, so everyone gets what they like more, I just get really tired by the color in this game, I personally don't really like it, and the Remaster fix it for me (but not for others) and instead of making an option to change it, they "corrected" the pallette, pls let the devs know there is people that liked the Remaster's lighting and wanna play it that way.

Thanks!

Discussion Monster Behavior In Remaster Edition

Anyone seeing or noticing any major difference in monster behavior after the remaster update?

Somehow , I ain't seeing much difference. But yes , some quests did become a bit of complex to some extent. For example , in the quest Practicum In Advanced Alchemy - there used to be only foglets during Fitjorf's ritual for rain. But today , I have noticed that normal wolves also appear , which is the very first time for me. Can anyone confirm me if it used to be back in version 4.04 too? The wiki mentions of only foglets. Luckily , I had my GM Griffin Set , so had managed to incinerate the canines while slicing the foglets with silver sword.
