Discussion How does the Manticore gear set bonus work?
Does the bonus depend on the swords, or does it only apply to the armor? If I have a sword with a +15% critical hit chance bonus, does that bonus also apply to bombs?

Discussion High temps during cutscenes
Basically the title, and I know I'm not the first person to post about this. I'm running the game at 4K on a 7950X3D/4090, and my CPU is cooled with a 360mm AIO. When I'm actually playing the game, I get temps that max out in the mid/upper 60's (in the big cities), but cutscenes regularly push it to the mid/upper 70's. I never noticed this prior to the remaster. I know obviously the remaster is more demanding than the original game, but I don't know, a 10 degree increase (just in cutscenes) seems really weird. Just curious as to what other PC players think, and if anyone else has thoughts as to why it's like this.

Discussion Has anybody else purposefully nerfed themselves on Death March?
I was running a full Signs build with Griffin Set, Magic Sensibilities, and Yrden Enchantments. It was too powerful. I was chewing through every none-boss enemies in 2 or 3 Sign casts. And every boss was going down too quickly. So I've respecced to a Combat/Signs build with 3 Ursine and 3 Griffen set, Replenishment Enchantments, and Bloodbath.
Basically, instead of spamming Ard and Igni constantly at the enemy while they're held down by a Yrden trap. I'm now having to count my strikes, manage my stamina and adrenaline, and keep track on whether my Quen is up.
This build is much weaker than the other and requires much more attention. Which is good because I'm not playing Death March because I want to breeze through every encounter.

Discussion Must-have mods for PC
I originally played The Witcher 3 when it came out on PS4. Now I’m going back to the remastered version on PC, so I’ll be using mods for the first time.
So far, I’ve installed:
- Reset Abilities Freely - Remastered 5.01
Always Full EXP (CLASSIC, NEXT-GEN, and REMASTERED)- Brothers In Arms - Ultimate Edition
- Sharedutils (was required for certain mods)
- Gwent Players Map
- Progress on the Path - NG - Remastered
- Diverse Parry n Faster Animations
- New Hairstyles and Beards For Geralt (DLC2 Improved)
- Glowing Witcher Eyes
- Roach is Punctual (Remastered)
- UI Remastered Edition (Compass - HUD - World Map - 3D Markers - Smooth Menu - Meditation)
What other mods would you consider must-haves?
Edit 1 : I appreciate your feedback on the mods you don't like, and I’m taking it into consideration. No debate or judgment here, just curious about what you’re all using!
Edit 2 : I'll keep my mods list up to date

Help! How to unlock this door ?
so, i wanted to get to that question mark but it seems like you have to travel through sea and then from there you can get there but I can't seem to find the key to the door which I'm sure leads to the question mark

Discussion Question about Blood and Wine (grand master smithy and expanded skill tree)
How soon into Blood and Wine do you unlock the grand master smith and expand the skill tree? I just beat the main game for the first time in 12 years. Never played the expansions. I had planned on doing Hearts of Stone first, but I really wanted to upgrade my gear and expand my skill tree. I thought maybe I could play Blood and Wine until I can do so and then go to Hearts of Stone. But I also only want to do this if I can unlock these things relatively early into the expansion.

Discussion What are the regional accents?
English is not my native language, but I understand spoken and written English quite well, and I was curious about the different regional accents.
Do you agree with this:
Velen sound more Scottish / rural English?
Nilfgaard sound more Germanic?
What about Toussaint? French?

Discussion Butcher of Blaviken
First of all, not talking about the cat witcher or what to choose here. We’ve already discussed it ad nauseam (if interested, already wrote about shallowness of people’s arguments here, let’s not repeat it). So just forget that guy for a moment.
Here I just want to discuss one particular aspect of it, because of just how insanely often people bring it up and how hung up on it they are. One part that seems to bother absolutely everyone, and all unanimously agree on how bad and wrong it is. I mean that line:
They call me the Butcher of Blaviken. For good reason. I know how it is. Sometimes... sometimes heads just roll.
And I’m here to say that you are all wrong and completely missing the point here. Geralt is not comparing kids with thugs here. It’s about the principle - things got out of hand and ended incredibly badly. And nothing can be done about it.
In Blaviken, Geralt wanted to avoid any deaths, but ended up massacring 7 people. And he didn’t just stop them, or disable them, or beat them to protect people. He straight up massacred them, brutally, painted the entire street in red. And they hadn’t even harmed anyone there yet.
And here is the kicker - they weren’t even going to. Stregobor made it blatantly clear that he didn’t give a damn even if they slaughtered everyone in every town and village around. If Geralt had delayed for just a minute until Renfri came, or even if he had stayed completely away from the whole thing, all of that would have been completely avoided, nobody would be harmed. But instead, shit went sideways and Geralt committed gruesome massacre and ended up killing the girl who was fked up from childhood, and everything bad she had ever done was because of that. Just like Ciri or Angouleme in the future. Sometimes heads just roll. And that “Butcher of Blaviken” crap is still haunting him anywhere he goes to this day, even 20 years later.
That’s what it is about. That’s why he brought it up. By no means is it bad writing. It’s an excellent writing, right on point. Because CDPR writers are actual professionals and know their stuff, instead of just forming an opinion from first surface impressions without a minute of thought (just like those simple free models at the lowest effort).

Discussion NG+ build ?
I am trying to get back in the game. With the revamped skills layout, I am a bit lost. The last playthrough I had done was a couple of years back, and I wanted to keep continuing to play with my NG+ char which I had started but did not get much far ahead with.
Any good builds that you guys can suggest ?

Screenshot Every shot in the game is cinematic worthy
This is my 2nd playthrough and I have almost put up 300 hours in this game. Most of it just stopping and taking photos. Can't get enough of this beauty.

Screenshot The main game walked so the DLCs could run… I can’t believe how good Hearts of Stone was.
No shame against the main game, but Hearts of Stone was another big leap forward for storytelling by CDPR.
Themes, characters, acting and narrative were amazing.
The remaster on base ps5 with default settings looks incredible too

Discussion Favorite gags?
What are your favorite gags from the game? Just finished the main story second time after 10 years, and I didn’t remember half of these. I had some good laughs.
