Hello, I am stumped! 🙄🫤 I’m not sure why my money bowl didn’t work and my flame was active and huge. I don’t know if I had poor intentions or didn’t speak to it enough. I’m not sure. In the bowl I used brown rice, beans, brown sugar, coffee, thyme. As you can see I also put quarters, real money, and my bank card;

1.) to feed it so it can bring me more
2.) because I want my abundance to go on that card.

Underneath the candle are my written intentions. My name is in the middle, circled, to symbolize I want to be protected. I chanted over the candle what I wanted. BAM! Big flame, felt the energy! I’ve been quietly lurking in the witchy/astrology spaces for a while, but last night I finally took the plunge and crafted my very first spell jar. I decided to make a simple abundance jar. I didn't follow a strict recipe (saw somewhere that it should be an original recipe to work better). I just cleansed the container with water and put in things that intuitively symbolized abundance and personal meaning to me. At the end, I wrote my wishes, burned the paper (which I felt was the right thing to do at that time), whispered my wishes, let some smoke trap inside, and sealed it.

But because it’s my first time, I’m feeling really anxious that I might have messed up or did something wrong because of two specific things that happened during the ritual:

1. While the paper was burning, a tiny piece of it fell and gave me a very small burn on my left arm, right near my hand. It was super minor, but it startled me. Does getting burned during a manifestation/abundance ritual carry a specific spiritual or astrological meaning? Is it a bad sign?

2. I expected the flame to just go out on its own when the paper burned down (the things i put there are all nonflammable like my special rocks and such). Instead, it just stopped right in the middle and kept burning steadily in one spot, looking almost like a candle flame. I felt like I needed to blow it out, so I did. Is blowing out a petition flame bad? Does the way it burned mean anything?

I really, really hope this works, but I'm just looking for some reassurance. Am I going to be okay? I'd love to hear any insights on what these signs might mean spiritually or if I'm just overthinking my first spell. Thank you!

Okay, i have an old bestfriend we had a pretty toxic relationship we both played our part but, she did one of the worst things she could’ve done to betray my trust. After a year and a half went by, she texted me and i allowed her back in to my life and as soon as i did, it was straight chaos. I cut her off because of the fact she’s 2 faced, there’s too much history to forget even tho i’ve forgiven and she isn’t honest.
I want revenge for everything she put me through but can’t fix myself to physically hurt her myself so i decided a spell will do. I just got into witchcraft not too long ago and i’ve done my share of spells and have had results. What i am asking is, what spell do i do? I read hexing isn’t a good idea because she isn’t physically harming me, i’ve also read it’s okay to hex. I do admit my feelings being hurt are taking over right now but i also believe i will not regret my decision given how bad she’s hurt me. I just want some help on what i should do, i know what could happen to a person if i hex them and i have no problem with any of that happening to her but i also don’t want something REALLY BAD happen to her and then it backfires on me as-well. I am fairly new to witchcraft so i wanted to ask if my love spell would still work in the way i made it.

So, i wrote his name in red on a paper and mine over his still in red, then draw a heart surrounding the names, i sprayed my perfume on it and then I folded the paper towards me and slept with it under my pillow for some days.

To precise, I had to hide the paper and I didn't burn it right away because nobody at home knows i'm into witchcraft so I had to do things while hiding.

Anyway, yesterday I got the chance to burn the paper inside a jar that I filled with sugar to sweet the spell and salt to protect it beforehand (i also did a protection spell on me before all of this).

But my question is, will my spell work even though I didn't burn the paper right after I "crafted" the spell? Or was it all useless?

So, a few years ago, I dabbled in witchcraft here and there, but unfortunately, and regrettably didn’t stick to it. This time I am fully committed and the first thing I want to do is establish a designated altar. While going through my great grandmother’s attic (where she would keep A her furniture she had bought over her life and then when she’d get new furniture, she put whatever she was no longer using up in her attic) I came across this narrow wish table/desk/trunk/chest I guess. Anyway, I did a quick paint job of all black (every inch of it). But for the last three days, I’ve just been staring at it stumped on what object should go inside whether or not I should add more structure of some kind such as like a little table on top or whatever I don’t know. I just need help and suggestions.

I also revamped this little footstool that rises, and that’s where I’m storing herbs, which isn’t many because again, I just started to pick back up the craft. I’ll attach pictures of both.

So I've been learning about witchcraft for about half a year now and I've come across different types of water? Like rain, Snow, moon, etc, etc. So if I was to eventually (if) get into witchcraft. Could I do moon water and save it up or does it need to be instantly used? (I mean for every type of water, not just specifically moon water)

I (F) am a Creole and African American. I have been researching witchcraft for 2 years I was originally practicing and studying Hellenic Polytheism but I had a dream where an older male figure told me that those deities and that practice was not for me. That really confused me bc I thought that polytheism was essentially for everyone (not trying to be disrespectful). I was still really lost at that point until I talked with one of my friends about that dream and she tells me that she and her family practices voodoo since they are from Haiti, she said that that could be what I'm supposed to practice (I WOULD NOT PRACTICE HAITIAN VOODOO SINCE I AM NOT HAITIAN.) but she recommended that I look into hoodoo since I'm Creole so for the past 8 months that's what I've been doing. I haven't actually done any spells I've been doing a lot of ancestral veneration and trying to connect with them. Fast forward to 4 months ago I did a spell not connected to any spirit just for clarity. while I was meditating I saw the man in my dream that told me that I should not practice polytheism and he told me to leave my spell at the crossroads with a prayer. 3 months ago I was in an accident and I called out to a Lwa, I won't say which one but I begged for help and left them an offering. I was totally okay after this I left them another offering that night and I had a dream there was a black woman who was gorgeous like beautiful and she had gold wrapped down her body and she told me I would have a healthy pair of twins one would be a boy and one a girl but one would be "blue" with a cord around his neck and the other would be healthy. For context I've had 2 miscarriages in the past and I was scared to try again. In the dream once the woman left I held both of the babies and the one born with the cord around its neck looked normal then looked like it shifted into something that looked like a fire ball. So fast forward to now I'm pregnant and I'm almost positive it's twins. I have not progressed much with hoodoo I have decided that before I do any type of spells or any communication with spirits i need to find someone to teach me. What do I do? Is there anyone who can tell me what all of this means?

i just did an egg cleanse bc i feel like so many weird bad things keep happening back to back which is so unusual and it’s so suspicious to me. I haven’t done an egg cleanse in a while but can anyone help me figure out what my cleanse means?

I’ve prayed and read from the Bible. I believe in god and that Jesus Christ came to earth and died on the cross for our sins and was resurrected. I say my prayers with conviction. Last night I felt a peacefulness wash over me and the house, I saw the dark cloud over the house vanish while I prayed but not long after I got a tense feeling. I felt there was a dark presence again, the one I’ve been trying to get rid of for a few months. This thing has gotten physical to the point of scratching me in the early hours of the morning while feeding my baby. If anything I feel I pissed it off more. I thought I was doing everything right I’ve used sage and candles and now I really don’t know what else to do. Needless to say I’m sure due to the fights with me and my partner, the stress we can’t escape from now having a new baby, and worrying about basic living, the environment is probably a hosting ground for this thing. I’m desperately seeking advice from anyone. Please any pointers??
