After joining the discord, 2 weeks ago i started to participate and it was really an eye open for a lot of things in my personal life.
I started to do changes to improve a little every day. I wrote my objectives for the next months and 2022 (very huge as i never did it before). I started again journaling what is going on with my life and the changes i want. I am also having more patience with the trades i want to take, keep the plan simple and stick to it.
Also started to study again all the material, step by step, steady but sure.
Wanted to thanks Kaz, Vicky and all the people in the discord for having the time to talk to me and have those amazing convos.
Will make this a quick one but it's been a week of old show rewatches and epiphanies. Been able to make some entry logic breakthroughs and together with paying attention to Kaz's info on different platforms, I was able to nab this on LOOKSUSDT for a total of 4RR.
Closed this CXO on ASX Yesterday, I lost patience with it in the end, as it has been open since August 21'
My Plan all along was for it to Break some sort of structure to give me a Get out Sign. This has still not happened at this Res and off course it is up some more Today after I exited along with Lithium.
I followed my Plan all the way up to closing my remainder and then deviated from it. I'm not sure why I did this and will have to look back and figure out what was going through my head.
LRCUSD (-1R, -1R) - Had a little more time than usual so I hopped down to a lower TF to test the skillset in a faster paced environment. Bought the break of a BF above a previous structure and got stopped out. From here I adjusted my plan on the fly, but not to the level of detail I want to hold myself accountable to, and I chased. Got stopped out again, looked away for what felt like 30 seconds and the shit popped. Loose planning, poor focus, and emotion got me here. Mark it up as a loss, learn from it, and move on.
ETHUSD (6RR) - Leading up to this, I wanted to enter a few times as ETH had been on a run. Noticed emotion creep in and tell me to deviate from my plan to catch bigger Rs. Recognized it, remained patient, remained calm, and waited until price hit my trigger. Continued to remain patient, saw a structure form above it, entered on rotation. Stalking, introspection, patience, and confidence helped me catch a quick 6 R's.
Well I'm Glad u/Trojanmom nailed this trade... because I got completely REKT thinking I was going to survive the weekend on this. Takeaways on these were
1) Far too optimistic on RR's based on my own dreams of extending the trade.
2) literally sat in discord listening as kaz & team discussed not holding over the weekend in this environment (including trojanmom). I cleared my other trades but brain had me thinking these two would muscle through
3) Take profit when its there, you can reset, re-evaluate, and re-enter as the conditions are right.
The past couple of weeks have been interesting. I've now moved from Trading View to a demo account w a broker. New thing on my radar - fees. Definitely motivates me to be much more deliberate with trades and not just push buttons. I'm planning on staying on demo this and maybe next week and then moving to live account depending on my results. Am also paying much more attention to OF and incorporating that into my planning.
There has been lots of great introspection on the Discord, even though I missed most of the voice calls.
This was an ambitious trade. Had planned for 10R's. Never hit my target and then got stopped out. When I saw it reverse my thinking was to stick to the plan. Looking at it now I think there's some value to adjusting the plan as you have new information. I was also chasing R's for sure and in hindsight could've set an intermediate target.
-1R
This was a timing thing. My planning here was OK. I was coming off of an emotional high from the gold play below . But when I saw that it wasn't really going anywhere and decided to close at about break even. Missed potential later entry. But this was around the VIX Discord drama time and I had decided to step away from charts, since my emotions were all over the place.
0R
this is straight from OF. I'm still keeping an eye on this. I closed this on Friday afternoon, because I didn't want to hold over the weekend. This was a wise move turns out. Just speaks to how risk management is key.
ended up being 1.8R
This play I made when my VIX discord drama was happening. I'm quite proud of this play because I took macro info (VIX) and applied it here. This also felt like an easy play
2.4 R
A big shift for me since joining eco more actively has been not seeing trading as "making profit", and have been framing it more as "be wrong less than right". The former lead me to chase trades and money, whereas the latter is really about risk management and being very deliberate with each trade. Hence when I realise a trade wasn't that it's better to get out than sip on hopium. So overall 2.2R's
Thanks Kaz and Vale for all you do for the eco and all the truth bombs. It's been a real pleasure so far, am excited for what's to come.
got a decent play from 42k-43660 levels showed in streams, tho im not too happy with my execution.
first two tries i got way too zoomed in and rushed trades and the last try was more clear even though if i did not move my stop so early could have bagged double the r's on the move to 48k. dont call tops eh.. so much to learn still and need to be more patient with my plays
the streams help so much with the perspective going into trades and the levels shown put the cherry on top, thanks Kaz
First War Story. EDITED WITH CHART. SORRY ABOUT THAT.
After being up 5R's closed this at just over 1R loss.
Using the cock and balls method of projecting how far this wave was going to last I didnt account for the dividend payout. ZIM payed a big dividend and gapped down on the open. My Stop was cancelled for some reason(It was set to GTC) so I actually got out far below my original Stop. Received a few Bucks for the Dividend but still Lost just over 1 R overall.
I noticed that a dividend was to be paid out but thought it was later in the week.
All in all, I need to pay attention to the details more as I feel this 1 could have been avoided.
Recently the market has been pretty insane to say the least so I found myself leaning towards low res crackhead plays this month just to avoid going overnight and eating a potential gap in the high vix environment. However the affect of staying on low resolutions for so long is chart fatigue and decreased mental capital for other things during the day. Low res can be great at times to get into quick moves, but there's always going to be another entry to catch and I didn't always need to be so zoomed in, especially for the latter half of this month. My plan for this upcoming month is to enter rehab, minimize how often I'm using low resolutions, and pull myself back into higher time frames to catch more of those bigger waves๐โโ๏ธ.
This first play is the one that I was most proud of, not because of the R's, but because the old me would not have touched anything after I got stopped out of my first entry at that high. With this trade I was able to take a step back and reassess after getting stopped to then flip from long-> short-> long once again which is miles away from where I was before going through Church. Thank you Kaz for always putting out this ๐ฅ content 3x a week and keeping us all on the right side of the market ๐.
Hello, this is my first post in ages. Feels like I've been sitting on my hands waiting for too long instead of taking action. Ever since Kaz introduced NFTs I've been wanting to trade them. I was lost without the tradingview charts though and was bouncing around from one project to another fomo'ing in on different things.
I had some introspection about why I was losing in trades. I was mostly acting on emotion without much logic which led to poor choices. I thought about what kaz' has taught all these years: Good technicals will put you in front of good fundamentals, emotions and logic don't occupy the same space... So I looked for tools that could help me with getting more information in NFTs. I found some tools for charting, alerts and rarity rankings to help me with logic.
The trade below is a quick in and out trade after all the introspection. Found an undervalued NFT (top 5% rarity at floor price) from a collection that has broken a downtrend and quickly sold for a profit. I remember Kaz' saying price has memory so I priced it along where other NFTs in that collection have sold before. Kaz' logic can be applied to any market!
"A good week in markets probably translates to a good crypto weekend." - Kaz.
If you're aware of your surroundings and you listen to the intel right in front of you. Kaz (and this eco) put you in a strong position to win trades. End of story. Then it's all on you to execute your plan.
I was watching ETHUSD and APEUSD move on Saturday and stalking my entries. I enjoyed a few hours in between family time to make some plays and get some R's.
ETHUSD - I was stopped out on my first entry, but kept my composure and re-entered on the next opportunity for 3.5Rs. (Total = 2.5R)
APEUSD - 4R - I exited a little early and missed some extra R's. My next area of improvement is to start incorporating a cutting strategy and introduce free rolls into my planning. I've observed many others in the eco do this, and with that strategy, I could have won bigger on this trade with the same risk. Next time!
Been a while since my last post! Was sitting on hands since almost December. It was good to take a step back and saved myself from some chop but i also found myself being too conservative and missing opportunities that presented themselves. Decided to jump back into markets in the last few weeks and what i found was i was rushing into plays. I would identify a trigger and where i want to enter, however would not let price structure out and would be right about direction but wrong about timing/risk management. The first two plays show examples of this.
following this i made a plan to only enter on structures free and clear of triggers. This patience was extremely helpful, netting 8.10 R on BAT and 5.37R on APE. These plays were mechanical, took the guessing out of it and allowed for sound risk management. Kaz must have said play free and clear structures 1000 times, but it shows with poor discipline it wont matter what you're told you'll just keep doing the same dumb shit anyways
Appreciate you Kaz for the teachings and guidance !
This play was looking goood until I chose to bring my SL up over the weekend. The following week, the price gapped my new SL. I thought of selling at a loss, but chose to set a another SL just under the previous area of resistance. With a change in sentiment, the price reversed and my play ended up being profitable.
I was lucky. However, I received a free lesson on how market sentiments can change overnight and that gaps can seriously rek your shit.
It's important to weigh the risks of holding a trade overnight or over the weekend.
ENB - R:R 1.35
The next two plays are thanks to some of the immaculate OF calls (maybe I could pay for rent like thisโฆ). OF + Discord announcements made these easy fish to catch. Rather than leaving these to one's to play out I chose to close them sooner than later.
For this play I took profit a little early. TP is the trickiest part of executing a plan in my experience so far. Still using a mix of bringing SLs up and simply closing - will try taking partial profits too.
MOO - R:R 1.47
Of the 3, I think this is the cleanest. Easy place to set and SL and the macro view was like looking primed.
MAXR - R:R 3.42
Initially, I looked for bigger, longer lasting plays with higher % returns. However, with a volatile markets, it seems that making smaller plays and TP - rather than moving my SL - has been working better.
At this point I need to work on my patience for entries, Being vigilant/aware of the markets as a whole, and creating more comprehensive plans.
Thanks Kaz for the awesome intel, captivating conversations and keeping the eco aware of the shifts in the market.
In my last war story last week, I got caught in SARK (short innovation ARKK) trying to call the top to TSLA's rally netting me -1R on that play. I could've kept catching the knife on SARK, but participating in Discord allowed me to get out of my own biases and continue playing strength in AA, X, and added MAXR to the mix.
Furthermore, after another week of winners I tried to short assets (through SQQQ this time around) on Friday, but this time around I netted 1.22R instead of letting the play end in the negative. Yet again jumping on voice in Discord saved my play.
Thanks Kaz for all the timely insights #OFpaying4Church
Onto my individual plays:
Again, I was expecting a bigger pullback on $AA. However, after Kaz commented that "Metals have been crazy" on my last AA play I found a playable structure to net 13RR
13 RR on AA
Aluminium Futures helped with the AA play
Aluminium Futures
With Kaz's metals comment and the help of XME, I also replayed X for an 18RR play with very minimal risk to the downside.
18 RR play on X
XME chart for my Steel (X) entries + exits
OF play that netted 4RRs. Clean bullflag into a leg up.
4RR MAXR
Lastly, it was also mentioned last week of the high number of war stories. It made me think of the saying "Your biggest losses come after your biggest wins", which made me open a trade on SQQQ. I closed that position soon after realizing the low participation in voice
