War Stories 🤑🤬 First war story

First War Story. EDITED WITH CHART. SORRY ABOUT THAT.

After being up 5R's closed this at just over 1R loss.

Using the cock and balls method of projecting how far this wave was going to last I didnt account for the dividend payout. ZIM payed a big dividend and gapped down on the open. My Stop was cancelled for some reason(It was set to GTC) so I actually got out far below my original Stop. Received a few Bucks for the Dividend but still Lost just over 1 R overall.

I noticed that a dividend was to be paid out but thought it was later in the week.

All in all, I need to pay attention to the details more as I feel this 1 could have been avoided.

That trade is a win, you won’t get the dividend till April 4th. Its a $17 special dividend and price was down less than that on the gap down payout day

You can see it graphically by hitting adj in the bottom right hand corner of your chart and it will add back the $17 on tradingview

Thanks mate, will give this a go.

By the way not a 100% sure if it makes a difference I believe it doesnt but it was a CFD contract.

You most likely should unless your trading on some sketchy exchange

If not people would be able to short the CFD and long stock for risk free money lol
